News report of this fight hits TV and retired General Orwell Taylor in Oregon calls his men to assemble. Meanwhile, Brock is guided by the homeless people he just saved through an underground tunnel to their sanctuary. They explain that this abode has become a prime target for developer Roland Treece, who wants them gone.

They came across two Digger exo-suits looking for them and Venom jumped onto them to save those people beside him. He gets overpowered by their sonic cannons and their conflict has caused them to fall down further below ground in a city of 20th century, which initially made Eddie believe that they have fallen through time.

Even his attacker thought the same for a moment which gave Brock enough time to fight back and their local council allowed him to stay. He learned more about how this city has collapsed long ago from a local and now is a home for them. Later, members of homeless community voted against him living among them and he leaves.

Spidey was looking for traces of Venom all over and finally decides to pay a visit to Eddie's father, Carl Brock with no luck. To know more about why Roland Treece is after those folks at park, Brock decides to break into Treece International head office and despite his suspicion, found nothing that tells him what is going on there.

He is forced to flee when securities arrived and ambushed by a group of armored mercinaries hired by Orwell Taylor, who is seeking vengeance on him for killing his son. In a past attempt to escape from Vault prison, Venom killed a guard named Hugh Taylor and now his father is after him with his hired guns, calling themselves "The Jury".

He survived their brutal attack twice and then is aided by Treece in escaping from their clutches. Venom is taken to a secret compound in Mojave Desert and there, he was tricked into captivity. Eddie is greeted by Carlton Drake, leader of the Life Foundation who wants his symbiotic offspring Agony, Lasher, Phage, Riot and Scream.

When his alien costume was extracted, Brock was left lifeless and then his old buddy Spider-Man came looking for him. Neither of them is capable of taking down this new batch of symbiotes, not to even make a decent stand against them.

Venom – Lethal Protector

Following his successful stint on "Birth of Venom" storyline, Marvel Comics hired back writer David Michelinie (Amazing Spider-Man – Return of the Sinister Six, Avengers – Nights of Wundagore) to lead Eddie Brock and Venom from a super-villain to a bit more likeable anti-hero character in six-part limited series "Lethal Protector".

Michelinie collaborated with artists Mark Bagley (Ben Reilly – Scarlet Spider – Back In The Hood, Ben Reilly – Scarlet Spider – Death's Sting) and Ron Lim (Iron Man – Legacy of Doom, Rann/Thanagar – Holy War) on titular mini-series.

Eddie Brock was on a constant decline in his life but then he found an alien symbiote that turns him into Venom and shared his hatred for Spidey. However, they both came to terms of leaving him alone and use their power to help innocents. In pursuit of a new heroic adventure, Eddie would meet a new group of friends and enemies alike.

"Lethal Protector" is a staple storyline by Michelinie that was also adapted into 2018 live-action Venom movie alongside "Planet of the Symbiotes" limited series and British actor Tom Hardy (Locke, Warrior) in lead role. Carlton Drake and Riot has served as primary antagonists, played by actor Riz Ahmed (Jason Bourne, Sound of Metal).

Incredible Hulk – Future Imperfect

"Future Imperfect" is a two-part story that focuses on a dystopian alternate reality where a twisted version of an elderly Hulk reigned supreme on an Earth that has been reduced to a wasteland due to years of nuclear warfare. This two-issue limited series was plotted by writer Peter David (Captain Marvel, X-Factor) and artist George Perez (Fantastic Four, Inhumans) collaborated with him to make his vision come out in reality for Marvel Comics in 1992.

In the upcoming years of storytelling, references of the "Future Imperfect" event have been given on many occasions. Evidence of Absorbing Man, Ant-Man, Black Knight, Captain America, Cyclops, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Doctor Octopus, Iron Man, Magneto, Nova, Thor and Wolverine being perished in this timeline were shown too. Also the plot has given birth to a potential villain who would become a great threat for the Hulk as well as other superheroes of Marvel. There is a follow-up one-shot story titled "Hulk – The End" that came out years later.
