Spider Island | Comics

Peter Parker was at Horizon Lab, fighting villains like Hydro Man and also taking martial arts lessons from Shang-Chi in his free time, learning "The Way of the Spider". One of Spider-Man's oldest foe, The Jackal returns, with a scheme to ruin Peter's personal life.

He recruits a severely mutated Kaine; the first clone of Peter Parker, now dubbed as Tarantula and then starts gathering other super-villains with Spider-Powers to his cause. Peter learns of his girlfriend Carlie Cooper is now having spider-powers, followed by a news bulletin that reveals that hundreds of New York's citizens also have displayed currently gained spider-like powers.

As The Avengers were engaged in cleaning up of the city, Shang-Chi was able to pick the real Spider-Man among all the Spider-Men rampaging through the city, who were all given the spider costume by The Jackal. Peter is enlightened in this situation after a brief discussion with Mary Jane in the midst of this chaos. Meanwhile, Eddie Brock is back as Anti-Venom and he's curing people off their spider abilities.

Even The Avengers arrived at the scene to help New York fight this Spider Virus. Along with Carlie Cooper, Peter soon sneaks into The Jackal's lab, unknown of the fact that they are being watched and this whole landscape was actually devised by The Queen. Spider-Man will have to face against The Tarantula sent by The Queen in the most challenging battle ever.

Bane – New 52 | Comics

Born to a revolutionary father who was a prisoner of Peña Dura, a child who would become Bane one day took his father's place and lived in the imprisonment of a flooded chamber for 17 years. As he grew to hate the world, he got cunning and incredibly strong using the super-steroid known as Venom. He came to Gotham City in quest of power but is opposed by Batman, whom he did not see coming.

Bane – New 52 | Comics

He teamed up with Scarecrow and White Rabbit but the Court of Owls came into their way (Knight Terrors). Bane believed that both Batman and The Court are connected but following Night of the Owls, he is proved wrong. With the unexpected aid from Sebastian Clark, Bane set out to destroy The Court and then went up against a former Talon named Calvin Rose (Scourge of the Owls).

Even though Bane snapped Rose's neck in Santa Prisca, he came back and defeated Bane's army. Bane then killed Sebastian Clark and left to conquer Gotham City once again with the malevolent Alfred Pennyworth of Earth 3 (Fall of the Owls). The Crime Syndicate took over the world and "Arkham War" broke in for taking control over Gotham.

Wearing his very own Batsuit, Bane fought against Scarecrow's army of Arkhamites and enlists a Talon named William Cobb to help him rule Gotham. He is eventually defeated by Batman, who locked him up in Arkham and he escaped to team-up with Scarecrow but got along with Poison Ivy instead, who betrayed him. Killer Croc met him in the sewers to settle some old scores and during Joker's Endgame, he fought alongside the Bat-Family to save the city from falling into any further chaos.

One of the most dreaded foe that The Dark Knight has ever faced, Bane is most popular for his infamous act of "Breaking The Bat" in the Knightfall saga of DC Comics' New Earth continuity (also known as the "Post-Crisis" era). The idea of Bane's character was conceived by comic-book writer Chuck Dixon (Batgirl – Year One, Superman/Tarzan – Sons of the Jungle), Graham Nolan (Hawkworld, JLA Vs. Predator) and Doug Moench (Batman & Dracula – Red Rain, Batman Vs. Predator II – Bloodmatch).

However, following the "Flashpoint" crossover event and in the wake of The New 52, Bane set foot on the new rebooted era through the second volume of the monthly ongoing Batman – The Dark Knight. Therefore the credit of his Prime Earth persona development goes to the writer/artist team of Paul Jenkins (Batman – Jekyll & Hyde, The Darkness/Pitt), Joe Harris and David Finch (Aphrodite IX, Brightest Day).

The Walking Dead – Something To Fear
 | Comics
Upon striking a deal with Hilltop Colony for protecting them from The Saviors and their leader Negan, Rick Grimes heads back to Alexandria to prepare themselves against them. At the safe-zone, Gabriel Stokes was keeping a church service for the surviving residents out there and Abraham goes to see how Rosita’s been doing after the break up but Eugene tries to mess up with his mind a little, which she disapproves. En route back to home, Rick and the survivors are stopped by a small gang of Saviors on bikes who demands all of their supplies, stating it all belongs to Negan now. Rick and his crew made a quick work of the gang and that Savior is sent back to give a message to Negan that they should all stay out of Hilltop and The Saviors should give their supplies to Rick.

Maggie reveals to Glenn that she is pregnant while Rick and Andrea started to live together, which even Carl knows of. Abraham and Eugene hit the road next morning in search for ammunition. Then suddenly, the latter is killed by an arrow that pierced his head and the former is taken hostage. With him, the attacking Saviors unsuccessfully attempts to enter Alexandria but are nearly decimated. The survivors all mourn Abraham’s death and everyone gathers in church for him. Glenn wants to move to Hilltop for a safer future for Maggie, Sofia and his unborn child. So, leaving Andrea in charge, Rick and his group heads to Hilltop Colony but during his night watch, Rick and company is ambushed by Negan and his men. He is here to make a point by killing one of them.

The Walking Dead Vol 17 – Something To Fear

The seventeenth in the line of The Walking Dead storylines from Image Comics, “Something To Fear” is written by Robert Kirkman (Outcast, The Astounding Wolf-Man) and drawn by artist Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files), following “A Larger World”. The story ran from issue #97-102 of the ongoing series and not only it features the 100th issue of the series but also includes the death of two major protagonist characters in an epic climax. The story is also adapted in the Season 6 finale episode of The Walking Dead TV Show titled "Last Day on Earth", where actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan played the role of Negan and kills one of the survivors in the same fashion depicted in the comics of whose identity is yet to be revealed in Season 7. Following Rick and his group’s encounter with The Governor, Negan is the next biggest villain in this entire series and perhaps even more complex of a character. The saga continues in the next part called “What Comes After”.
