Thanos – Thanos Wins | Comics

Thanos returns to his glory only to reach the end of time to witness his greatest glory and ultimate shame!

On Chitauri Prime, The Mad Titan has set foot in their gladiatorial arena a few hours ago and he almost forgot about the tyrannical Chitauri before that. He conquered their homeworld after decimating anyone who came in his way and crushed the skull of their king under his boot but was very disappointed upon finding no challenge here.

As he sits on the throne while his new army cheers for him, one of them pledges their entire armada for him and asks if he would ask his "God" to stop killing them now, causing him to wonder!

Since the creature appears like Phoneix and cuts through their defenses sooner than he did, they thought it to be his God. At that very moment, blood starts raining heavily from sky as Leviathans were getting slaughtered and Thanos started to smile after a long time, because it strongly stinks of Death.

Soon the mysterious being is revealed to be a cosmic version of Ghost Rider! Although he is all hellfire and brimstone, but neither Johnny Blaze nor Danny Ketch has become Spirit of Vengeance this time and he is from future.

The Rider asks Thanos to come along but he refuses to oblige and tells Mephisto to come and meet if he wants to. He is confused and explains that killing son of Titan will mess up timeline only to get punched on face. Before making another move, he is wrapped in chains by GR, which are made off the bones of Cyttorak.

The pawn of Hell also possess a fragment of Time Stone and teleports them both using it. Million years into future, he delivered an imprisoned Thanos to his master, Final King, who is an older version of The Mad Titan.

There are mightiest beings in existence that are superior to everyone else and there are heroes who protect the entire universe from major threats. However, deep down inside them all are afraid of one single thing, to see Thanos win! Unfortunately, it finally happened and sitting on the skull of Galactus, he tells to his younger self how the entire universe was doomed the moment he was born.

One by one, he took down every heroes of Earth with precise planning when they slowly grew old and when a group of Celestials came to judge, he vanquished them all with a thunderous scream of Inhuman King, Black Bolt.

Angry over dragging him through time and still in disbelief, Thanos knocks his older self but decides to align with him moments later, when he finally proves him to be the real deal. He brought his younger counterpart to this timeline for his help in killing The Fallen One, a former herald of Galactus and after killing every living thing in the known universe, he is the only one left to deliver to Death.

Despite once being a terror for everyone, the Final King seeking his help to kill a rogue herald doesn't seem plausible to Thanos.

Thanos – Thanos Wins

The second monthly ongoing volume of Thanos have already shaken things up by revealing him dying in "Thanos Returns" and then restored to his old form in "The God Quarry" storyline. Now, Marvel Comics brings writer Donny Cates (Doctor Strange – Damnation, Doctor Strange – God of Magic) and Geoff Shaw (Buzzkill, God Country) to cook up the third plotline featuring another mad conquest of the Titan in 2018, which collects issues #13-18 and Annual issue #01.

Al Ewing, Christopher Hastings, Katie Cook, Kieron Gillen (Angela – Asgard's Assassin, Beta Ray Bill – Godhunter) and Ryan North joined as guest-storyteller, while Frazer Irving and Katie Cook joined to provide illustration aid.

Following the past two stories, Thanos faced his son Thane and then allied with his brother Starfox and estranged daughter Nebula to defeat him before finally restoring his godhood. This very arc briefly explores how he continuously threatened reality over time during the events of Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, Infinity Crusade, Annihilation Wars and Infinity.

While invading Earth for the final time, he was opposed by Captain America, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Mister Fantastic, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, The Sentry, Vision and X-23, all of which fell before him. Cates brilliantly took a spin on the origin of Cosmic Ghost Rider and how he turned into Black Right Hand of the Final King.

Old Man Logan – Days of Anger | Comics

Not to let a nightmarish history repeat itself, Logan takes matters into his own hands to butt heads with a new Hulk Gang!

In his own timeline, Old Man Logan had a pretty messed up life more than any of his other counterparts. He killed off all the X-Men at X-Mansion under the illusion created by super-villain Mysterio during the night of villains uprising.

Long after, he finally settled down with a family of his own but the hillbilly Hulk Gang of an elderly Bruce Banner took that away from him too, causing him to unsheathe his claws once again against Pappy Banner and killing The Hulk for good (Wolverine – Old Man Logan). Then "Secret Wars" broke it all apart and he ended up in the Wastelands of the Battleworld.

As Multiverse was restored, he found himself in a reality that isn't messed up like the one he knew yet. Here he found himself among his friends that aren't still butchered by his hands and got a new chance at life.

Today, Logan goes to Fat Joe's Diner like he usually does once in a while to take a break from work. Sooner as he entered there, he smelled something fishy and realized soon that he has walked straight into a trap set by a few remaining members of former Hulk Gang of now-deceased Pappy Banner.

Although he clearly remembers sparing none other than Bruce Banner Jr. and Billy-Bob, apparently there are a couple more of them and they started to rain down on Logan without wasting a single moment. Back at this old routine, he mercilessly takes down all of them but Billy-Bob still got away.

He landed on an abandoned Department H facility in Canada and reported back to their current leader, who turns out to be an elder Bruce Banner from a future alternate reality known as The Maestro (Future Imperfect).

To compromise the cover of their existence, Maestro berates and beats Billy-Bob before being stopped by Cambria. Maestro and the remaining Hulk Gang members rushed out of the place and took over another after killing all the occupant humans.

Even though the facility was left clean, Logan traced it back and upon reaching there, he deduced that the Hulks are up to something that involves nuclear weaponries. So, he hit the road again in search for them and called his old friend Puck from Alpha Flight to look up.

Knowing how dangerous Logan really is, Maestro sends a few Hulks with Billy-Bob to find him and gun him down as soon as they do. They found him on his way on road and smoked him down with all they had.

Logan discovers himself shackled with chains when he regained consciousness and got gunned down once again. Now, not only he has to survive the gun-toting Hulk Gang, he needs to find out their plans with those nuclear weapons and need someone to help; probably his former ally Hawkeye.

Old Man Logan – Days of Anger

Taking place on the second monthly ongoing series of Old Man Logan, "Days of Anger" is a six-part storyline that came out in 2017. It collects issues #25-30 from same series by Marvel Comics, who hired writer Ed Brisson (Secret Avengers, Secret Wars – Battleworld) for plotting out this entire arc along with fan-favorite artist Mike Deodato Jr. (Guardians of Knowhere, Original Sin), who also provided cover arts for all involving issues.

Brisson actually plays with classic idea of a "Hulk Vs. Wolverine" showdown here in "Days of Anger", which always wins an audience over. Only this time, both Hulk and Wolverine of Prime Marvel Universe is dead. So, he worked his plan out by picking two alternate versions of these popular characters from two different realities and bringing them on same place, at the same time but for different reasons to face each other.

All of it played out really well and it really worked out pretty nicely. We eventually got an epic battle between the elder versions of feral mutant and the green raging monster. Special guest appearance was made by Alpha Flight member Puck and long-time Avenger member Hawkeye to advance further with the plot.

Maestro receives this news while he was busy with the women of harem and he appears to be an elderly version of the green goliath but only massive in size and superior in intellect. Representing the rebel alliance against Maestro, Janis Jones took Hulk to their secret base and showed him footage of the accident a century earlier that transformed him into the raging monster, all recovered from the psych of Rick Jones.

Because of Maestro's evil plan, the heroes of the world are lost today and Hulk met an elderly Rick Jones. One of the rebels, Pizfiz was captured and in Maestro's fortress he was interrogated by the big bad green himself. However, since the prisoner was non-cooperative, a forcible mind scanning was on progress, from which the villain realize that the rebels now have acquired Doctor Doom's Time Machine and plans to use it against him.

Seeing a huge plot against him to overthrow his rule, a furious Maestro heads towards the rebel base and charges his way into the secret hideout of the rebellion under the ground. As the rebels were already prepared for intruders, many of Maestro's minions are slaughtered as he was looking for the members of this movement. The final showdown arrives, when the elderly evil genius version of Hulk meets his younger self into a stand-off that will shake the ground of Dystopia.

Incredible Hulk – Future Imperfect

"Future Imperfect" is a two-part story that focuses on a dystopian alternate reality where a twisted version of an elderly Hulk reigned supreme on an Earth that has been reduced to a wasteland due to years of nuclear warfare. This two-issue limited series was plotted by writer Peter David (Captain Marvel, X-Factor) and artist George Perez (Fantastic Four, Inhumans) collaborated with him to make his vision come out in reality for Marvel Comics in 1992.

In the upcoming years of storytelling, references of the "Future Imperfect" event have been given on many occasions. Evidence of Absorbing Man, Ant-Man, Black Knight, Captain America, Cyclops, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Doctor Octopus, Iron Man, Magneto, Nova, Thor and Wolverine being perished in this timeline were shown too. Also the plot has given birth to a potential villain who would become a great threat for the Hulk as well as other superheroes of Marvel. There is a follow-up one-shot story titled "Hulk – The End" that came out years later.
