Glenn was buried within the walls of Hilltop Colony where Maggie lives now. She was beside his grave when a resident named Brianna comes to console her who lost almost everyone she loved a short while ago. Jesus covertly sneaks into Hilltop to pay Maggie a secret visit as well as Gregory. On Alexandria Safe-Zone, Rick Grimes finally reveals his plan to Andrea for taking down Negan for good. Though, Carl deemed to be left out of his father's plan, Rick allows him to take part in overthrowing Negan as he is a big-boy now. He also approaches Michonne about his plan, who believed that Rick was down for good and hung her katana. Now that she knows, it was a ploy to make everyone to think that Rick got soft; she is not too pleased about not knowing it previously.

Thinking of going against Negan is a real bad idea, one of Hilltop's guard Kal takes it upon himself to inform Negan about it and stop the war but was stopped by Jesus in time. Rick takes Andrea, Carl, Michonne and a few others at The Kingdom to meet King Ezekiel and all are astound to see his pet tiger Shiva. Michonne and Ezekiel had a rocky start at first but they eventually got along. Meanwhile, Negan comes to Alexandria when Rick was out and so he waited for his arrival. Spencer Monroe approached him about killing Rick and making him a leader instead. In response, Negan literally made him to spill his guts. Once inside the boundaries of the Safe-Zone, Rick decides to ambush on Negan and kill him, but sometimes he can be crazy wrong about his arch-enemies.

The Walking Dead Vol 19 – March To War

“March To War" is the nineteenth storyline from The Walking Dead monthly ongoing series, credited to writer/creator Robert Kirkman (Image United, Invincible) and artist Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files). This plotline has served as a prologue arc for the major oncoming impact on the series that would change up everything like never before. It also lends elements to The Walking Dead TV Show on AMC TV that is adapted into iconic moments for Season 7 of the show. Continued from the previous storyline "What Comes After", the story comprises from issues #109-114 of the ongoing Image Comics series that will led into the groundbreaking saga of "All Out War" next.

From the very day he regained his consciousness from coma and found himself on a bed of the abandoned Harrison Memorial Hospital of Kentucky, in a Post-Apocalyptic world that is overruned by flesh-eating Zombies, former deputy sheriff, Rick Grimes fought his way up to this point where he dealt with the infidelity issue of his wife Lori and best friend Shane (Days Gone Bye), struggled with the survival of his group, took shelter in a prison (Safety Behind Bars), faced the threat of The Governor (The Best Defense), became the de facto leader of Alexandria Safe-Zone (Life Among Them) and even survived the Zombie onslaught on Alexandria (No Way Out) but never had he felt such helpless when Negan came looking for retribution for killing his men and to make a point.

Negan bashed the skull of one of Rick's own in front of his group and made them watch. Normally, Rick would have reacted to this and retaliate but till date, he is never caught this off-guard when Negan stroke back. So, he agreed to give half of their supplies as an offering to The Saviors. When they came to Alexandria to collect their first offering, Negan intimidates Rick in front of his people and Carl protests standing up to the former. As the boy took it upon himself to sneak on The Saviors and infiltrate their secret base to kill Negan, he actually impresses the tyrant and he gave the boy a tour of his establishment. Meanwhile, Rick devises his own plan with Paul "Jesus" Monroe to fight back Negan and his followers while they play along by joining the Kingdom of Ezekiel.

The Walking Dead Vol 18 – What Comes After

Following the shocking turn of events and the arrival of a new ruthless nemesis for Rick Grimes and his band of survivors in "Something To Fear", The Walking Dead monthly ongoing series is continued the order of things in "What Comes After". Series regular Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Haunt) and Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files) returns with another spectacular arc of the Zombie Apocalypse that is narrated in issues #103-108 of the ongoing title from Image Comics. The current and the previous storyline and major aspects from it has also been adapted for The Walking Dead Season 6 and Season 7 on AMC TV in 2016, while slightly altering things to suit a bit for cable TV audiences. Things will start to build-up towards a major development in "March To War", which is the next storyline in order.

Upon striking a deal with Hilltop Colony for protecting them from The Saviors and their leader Negan, Rick Grimes heads back to Alexandria to prepare themselves against them. At the safe-zone, Gabriel Stokes was keeping a church service for the surviving residents out there and Abraham goes to see how Rosita’s been doing after the break up but Eugene tries to mess up with his mind a little, which she disapproves. En route back to home, Rick and the survivors are stopped by a small gang of Saviors on bikes who demands all of their supplies, stating it all belongs to Negan now. Rick and his crew made a quick work of the gang and that Savior is sent back to give a message to Negan that they should all stay out of Hilltop and The Saviors should give their supplies to Rick.

Maggie reveals to Glenn that she is pregnant while Rick and Andrea started to live together, which even Carl knows of. Abraham and Eugene hit the road next morning in search for ammunition. Then suddenly, the latter is killed by an arrow that pierced his head and the former is taken hostage. With him, the attacking Saviors unsuccessfully attempts to enter Alexandria but are nearly decimated. The survivors all mourn Abraham’s death and everyone gathers in church for him. Glenn wants to move to Hilltop for a safer future for Maggie, Sofia and his unborn child. So, leaving Andrea in charge, Rick and his group heads to Hilltop Colony but during his night watch, Rick and company is ambushed by Negan and his men. He is here to make a point by killing one of them.

Negan Kills

The Walking Dead Vol 17 – Something To Fear

The seventeenth in the line of The Walking Dead storylines from Image Comics, “Something To Fear” is written by Robert Kirkman (Outcast, The Astounding Wolf-Man) and drawn by artist Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files), following “A Larger World”. The story ran from issue #97-102 of the ongoing series and not only it features the 100th issue of the series but also includes the death of two major protagonist characters in an epic climax. The story is also adapted in the Season 6 finale episode of The Walking Dead TV Show titled "Last Day on Earth", where actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan played the role of Negan and kills one of the survivors in the same fashion depicted in the comics of whose identity is yet to be revealed in Season 7. Following Rick and his group’s encounter with The Governor, Negan is the next biggest villain in this entire series and perhaps even more complex of a character. The saga continues in the next part called “What Comes After”.

Even though the massive Walker horde nearly decimated the Safe-Zone of Alexandria, Rick and his band of survivors did managed to take them out by working as a team (No Way Out). They had casualties but this gives Rick hope to start over. As he tries to rebuild the community and re-establishing civilization in this ravaged world, he faces rebellion from within the Safe-Zone which is also dealt with. Carl gets better as he finally wakes up from his near comatose state after getting shot in his right eye previously. Sophia came visiting him and stays till Glenn and Maggie arrives from a supply run. Everyone gets to bed and Carl shouts at Rick about how it feels to lose an eye when he tries to talk to anyone. But outside of the walls of Alexandria, a stranger secretly watches over them.

The next morning, Abraham and Michonne goes out while talking about their lives and then stumble onto some Walkers, which they soon took care of. Then a man came behind the cars to talk to them but immediately gets hostile response from them. He kept Abraham hostage and sends Michonne to get their leader. Upon Rick’s arrival he introduces himself as Paul Monroe, also called Jesus by his people who are roughly 200 in number. He offers to Alexandrians a trade of goods that they can both use, also revealing the existence of two other larger groups. Rick knocks Paul and took him captive to figure out his true motives but Carl vouches for him as they head for Hilltop Colony. They learn of a new threat of a band of people known as The Saviors, led by man named Negan.

The Walking Dead Vol 16 – A Larger World

From the previous arc titled "We Find Ourselves", regular series writer Robert Kirkman (Image United, Invincible) and artist Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files) promises a big bang for the upcoming days of Image Comics' monthly ongoing series The Walking Dead. The major reckoning is hinted for the first time in the story “A Larger World”, consists issues #91-96. A new adversary named Negan will not only enter the scenario and cost Rick and the Alexandrians their lives but will end up owning everything they have. Major skirmish will begin that will eventually cause a massive war (All Out War – Part One) and leading to heavy casualties (All Out War – Part Two). Negan was also introduced in Season 6 of The Walking Dead TV Series on AMC TV and the character is portrayed by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan who appeared on the season finale episode. This volume leads to the next arc of the series; "Something To Fear".

Recently, he saved the life of director Beth Tosh, destroyed Shillinger’s mindless drones, sent the fugitive Mr. Hurg into prison, moved in with his girlfriend Autumn and even reconciled with Kurt's spirit but what he did not notice is that a strange spirit-like entity keeping an eye on the brothers.

When he was in the middle of a meeting with director Tosh and fellow Agent Park, Rodus and Weathers for a mission brief, The Apparition shows up and vanishes Kurt by wrapping him up with its body. As the team goes after the notorious Arc Light next day, Daniel is still puzzled with Kurt's disappearance and when they need Haunt the most, he didn't show up.

However, Daniel's fellow operatives took care of the situation and Kurt eventually showed up running to his brother. Together as Haunt, Daniel now sees the ghost and unsuccessfully tries to best it with no avail while The Apparition tries to strip him off his suit. Daniel visits Beth to find out a Bolivian woman named Alegria, who was in a cell with him previously and apparently knows a lot about The Haunt than himself.

He goes looking for her in the city but Alegria found him first and with The Apparition on their tail, she explains that it is part of a force, which came to prevent Kurt from existing into both realms. Therefore, it will take Kurt back from the realm of the living. The trio finally manages to escape the spirit, wondering even with Alegria's help, can they actually win?

A previous encounter with an outsider group called The Scavengers (Too Far Gone) draw attention of a massive herd towards Alexandria Safe-Zone and they eventually broke within the walls. Rick devised a plan to get out of the herd but Jessie and Ron couldn’t make it out. Carl got shot accidentally by a rogue bullet fired by Douglas Monroe that cost him an eye and Michonne lost Morgan to his infection from a Walker-bite. She and Rick teamed up against the entire horde as the others joined and finally, they cleared out every single Walkers. Rick realizes after this, that the undeads are a manageable problem with the human working together. Following the battle, the residents of Alexandria gets busy in cleaning up the mess and Rick was tending towards his wounded son.

Glenn reunites with Maggie after the crisis and Rosita acknowledged to Abraham about of his affair with Holly. The town folks all meet to discuss their new strategy from now after the funeral for the recently deceased on such as the idea of everyone carrying a gun, building a maze for Walkers and sending more men for supply run. Rosita leaves Abraham and moved to Eugene's house. Rick, Andrea and Denise are constantly checking on Carl’s condition. The people are training with Andrea who teaches them to shoot against the oncoming Walkers. Spencer tries to talk to her several times but with no luck. Rick and the rest go for a supply run and everything else seemed fine until some problem arises again. Not in the form of roaming undeads but from the living of their own!

No Way Out was a massive blast of undead horde ever since the journey of Rick and his band of survivors embarked on. The story then takes a slow pace with the storyline “We Find Ourselves” by series regular Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Haunt) and Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files) from Image Comics. The run took issues #85-90 from the ongoing series of The Walking Dead that will be continued in the next arc titled “A Larger World”. From here on, a grander scheme lays its foundation in this apocalyptic universe that will be a start of a new turning point for everybody.
