Age of Ultron | Comics

age of ultron
Age of Ultron | Comics
Years ago, scientist Henry Pym created the artificial intelligence called Ultron for peacekeeping, that later turned on the humans and developed a rivalry with The Avengers. For years, Ultron is been considered as the most feared opponent by the heroes as he desires the total annihilation of the human race. Ultron have returned and as it was feared, he took over New York, decimated its population and left it in ruins. Except for the Invisible Woman, all of the Fantastic Four are vanquished in an attack by Ultron Sentinels and in a hidden base Captain America, Emma Frost, Iron Man, Luke Cage, She-Hulk, Susan Storm and Wolverine has taken refuge. The Superior Spider-Man is meanwhile rescued by Hawkeye from the minor villains like Owl and Hammerhead.

With a plan to infiltrate Ultron’s base for attack, Luke Cage and She-Hulk volunteered but once inside, they found The Vision instead of his master. She-Hulk bravely sacrificed herself to let Luke Cage escape with this insight, who informed the heroes about the discovery. When all the gathering heroes travel to the future timeline to encounter Ultron for one last time, Wolverine decides to go back in time to kill Dr. Pym to end up this mess at the first place. What he did not knew then is that the Invisible Woman has secretly traveled in time with him, following Logan. But what change Wolverine’s actions will bring upon the existing regular timeline and what chaos will the universe undergo for a bunch of change in the space time continuum remains a question.

Doctor Doom, Red Skull, Magneto and Abomination has rise up to power and is ruling over their own territory. Magneto is later replaced by a new Kingpin and The Incredible Hulk takes place of The Abomination. The part of the land that Hulk and his Gamma-Powered Family now owns is now called the "Hulkland", where lives the former X-Man and a man who used to be known as the most dangerous man on Earth; Logan, or better known as Wolverine.

Logan now lives a non-heroic, non-violent life with his wife Maureen and two young children of him; Scotty and Jade. He has given up his bad-ass Wolverine persona and stopped using his Adamantium claws ever since the villains took over the world. When the initial takeover began, Logan was tricked by Mysterio and went on a killing spree where under Mysterio’s illusion, killed all X-Men members, giving him one of the biggest shocks in his life. That moment, he vowed to never use his claws again. Now that the old man needs money to pay his house rent so he took the job offer from Hawkeye to guide him to his destination to deliver a package. On their way, they face an army of Moloids, a Venom symbiote infused Dinosaur and the new Kingpin. But in a world without rules, can Logan keep his claws from not unsheathing again?

Final Grudge Match
After delivering the ground breaking "Enemy of the State" storyline, fan-favorite writer Mark Miller (Kick-Ass, Reborn) has returned with another another bang; an eight part futuristic storyline "Old Man Logan", that is set on an alternate timeline. The story ran from issue #66-72 of the third volume of monthly ongoing Wolverine comic-book series, plus, a ‘Giant-Size Old Man Logan’ issue from Marvel Comics was released in 2008. Artist Steve McNiven (Civil War, New Avengers) served as the penciller for this story and the late Michael Turner did a variant cover for the arc. This storyline is a primary source of inspiration for the third live-action solo Wolverine film, Logan (2017) except for the rest of the landscape than his personality. Also, following "Death of Wolverine", Marvel has brought Old Man Logan to their regular continuity after the incursion of Multiverse, which caused "Secret Wars" and he joined X-Men's ranks again in "Extraordinary X-Men – X-Haven".

Seeing everyone else fighting each other, Crimson Dynamo feels cocky and starts shooting at Iron Man but Tony knocked him down with a repulsor blast. Fight escalates and argument arises while Ross decides to be a voice of reason. They apparently found a little girl who survived among the few other villagers and only said a word which means "Red". Ross and Samson head back to Gamma Base finding no other possible explanation for these bizarre happenings, to get an expert opinion from none other than Bruce Banner.

Meanwhile, Banner's long-time ally Rick Jones suddenly wakes up and finds himself on the Alaskan Frontier without a memory of what happened with him. Then the new Helicarrier of S.H.I.E.L.D. is suddenly attacked and destroyed by some unforeseen force, while all classified files on Hulk are also erased by a virus. It grabbed She-Hulk before she could even move and then easily knocked her out cold. This mysterious entity is revealed itself to be a Hulk but only in "Red" and he is headed straight to Gamma Base. Looking for Banner, Rick Jones arrives at Gamma Base only to be confronted by Red-Hulk.

Rick then transforms into a Hulk-like creature as well but his appearance is more resembled to Abomination, calling himself A-Bomb. A clash between him and Red Hulk shook the place to its core and caused Bruce Banner to turn into Hulk as his containment unit tries to force sleep by using gas. Finally, actual green Hulk decides to face "Red" and it's time for some major collateral damage on the face of Earth. Even Uatu the Watcher showed up to witness this fight and got punched on his face by the Red Menace. Also, The Mighty Thor returns to Midgard for stopping the rampage of both Hulks.

World War Hulk | Comics

Hulk was banished to space by The Illuminati to save the people of Earth from his rampage but he drifted to a harsh planet named Sakaar and become the ruler of Sakaar with Caiera as his queen, after defeating the notorious tyrant Red King of that planet. However, their joy on Sakaar was short lived when the people on Sakaar and the pregnant Caiera died in a powerful explosion of warp-core from the shuttle that brought Hulk on Sakaar.

Without even verifying who caused the accident, Hulk madly blames The Illuminati for this incident and travels back to Earth for vengeance with The Warbound at his side. On moon, Hulk battles and savagely beats down The Inhuman king Black Bolt and even his Quasi-Sonic powers were only good enough to knock the Hulk back for a while. Then he returned to Earth with Black Bolt's unconscious body, announcing New York City to be immediately evacuated.

He then smashed his way into the X-Mansion to find Xavier, instead had a fight with the X-Men and the New X-Men. Dust, Elixir, Hellion, Mercury, Prodigy, Rockslide, Surge and X-23 of the New X-Men led the first wave of attack against the green rage monster but among them, only X-23 managed to hurt him bad. Then Beast, Colossus, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Lockheed, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat and Wolverine led the second wave. All of them are either knocked out or crippled by Hulk one by one.

The X-Factor team and Excalibur were also alerted about the situation, the unstoppable Juggernaut decides to butt-in but got a beat-down himself too. Darwin, Hepzibah, Multiple Man, Monet St. Croix, Siryn, Strong Guy, Warpath and Wolfsbane took another dig at the monster and helped the X-Men stand to their feet. After Cessily Kincaid showed him the graves of all the fallen mutants of their ranks during M-Day, Hulk leaves after learning their loss.

Failed to convince The Sentry to aid them stopping HulkIron Man in his improved "Hulk-Buster" armor and their collision have destroyed the Stark Tower in the process. The sorcerer supreme Doctor Strange confronted him to stop his rampage by trying to reach out to Bruce Banner, but he easily defeats him seeing past his illusions, breaking Strange's hands doing so. Hulk then turned Madison Square Garden in a huge gladiator arena and forced them to fight each other in front of a large crowd.

With the city severely broken and evacuated, many attempts by several other superheroes failed to stop Hulk and his Warbound including Doc Samson, Ghost Rider, She-Hulk, the team of New Avengers, Excalibur, Heroes For Hire, The Initiative and Fantastic Four. Then finally, when all heroes fell before the might of the green goliath, the all powerful Golden Guardian of Good made up his mind to enter the scene; to play God.
