Long before everything gone under the rule of super-villains, Logan was a mutant with animalistic nature and a healing factor that made him into a Weapon X operative Wolverine and eventually an X-Man. He was leading his life in adventure with the X-Men, until the villain uprising when Mysterio tricked him into killing all of his fellow teammates and afterwards, his grief made him abandon his heroics.

In his exile, he met Maureen and settled down with their two kids in Hulkland. Then he went on a road trip with Hawkeye as a hired guide, killed Red Skull and came back too late to pay his rent money. As the Hulk gang got bored and murdered his family, he unsheathed his claws again for revenge and wiped out the entire Banner-Family with ruthless efficiency.

The incursions of worlds have destroyed the Multiverse (Time Runs Out) and he found himself on God Doom's Battleworld. He ended up in Deadlands, where he found She-Hulk among the undead and convinced her to help him get out. Awoken in a new world, Logan was unaware of the fact that his counterpart of this world is long-dead, yet he decided to kill the ones who doomed his reality.

So, he faced Totally Awesome Hulk but backed out upon learning it was not Banner himself. In search of Hawkeye, he found Kate Bishop, leading him to a meet Captain America. Logan was found by Storm; the current leader of X-Men and is enrolled into the team after a time-displaced Jean Grey convinced him to (X-Haven). He also fought in Civil War II and the Inhumans/X-Men War.

An alternate fictional take on the classic Marvel Comics character Wolverine, Old Man Logan is created by writer Mark Miller (Kick-Ass, Reborn) and artist Steve McNiven (Civil War, New Avengers) in 2008, as a storyline which is set in the reality of Earth-807128, apart from the regular timeline.

Back for Redemption

Following "Death of Wolverine", Marvel was in a crisis for Wolverine in their publication and they made X-23 take the mantle. However, there was still a void and so; they used the events of "Secret Wars" to bring the version of the hero who was also having a live-action movie released in 2017 titled "Logan". Although, this version of Wolverine is considerably slow and weak, he still is the best there is at what he does.

Mutant population has been drastically reduced and the remaining Mutants are left de-powered after the "House of M" event caused by a mentally unstable Scarlet Witch. She had flattened the slim chances of any mutant population to the future. However, recently a new mutant activation is detected in Alaska by Professor Xavier and Beast. Cyclops reaches the spot with the X-Men, only to find out a few lifeless bodies of The Marauders and The Purifiers, assuming they had reached here first and had a fight for the possession of the new born. Cyclops sent the team of Wolverine, Storm, Angel, Colossus and Nightcrawler to look for Marauders and Predator X is also seen looking for the baby and devouring the dead corpses of The Marauders.

Julio Richter AKA Rictor has joined the ranks of Purifiers to investigate and act as a double-agent for Cyclops, discovering that they don't have the baby yet but they have Lady Deathstrike in their team. Soon the team of New X-Men attacks The Purifiers and these two team battles with Lady Deathstrike initially taking down both X-23 and Rockslide. The X-Men engaged in a full-scale battle with Mister Sinister’s group of Marauders consisting Apocalypse's former Horsemen of Death, Gambit, Sunfire, Scalphunter, Lady Mastermind, Omega Sentinel, Vertigo and many other bad guys on Sinister’s Antarctic base. Finally it is revealed by Wolverine that Cable actually has the baby in his care, but a time travelling Bishop is after the baby too for his own reasons.

"Messiah CompleX" is a Marvel Comics crossover event that ran from 2007-08, from right after the "X-Men - Blinded by the Light" storyline and followed from the "Endangered Species" event. Writer Mike Carey (X-Men – Manifest Destiny, X-Men – Supernovas), Ed Brubaker (Captain America – Reborn, Steve Rogers – Super-Soldier), Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle drafted parts of this event in various X-Titles. Artist Chris Bachalo (Generation X, Uncanny X-Men), Humberto Ramos (Amazing Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man), Marc Silvestri (Cyberforce, The Darkness) and Billy Tan (New Avengers, Shadowland) took turns on the total drawing responsibilities. It is the first part to the two later parts of the "Messiah War" and "Second Coming" crossover.

Hulk was banished to space by The Illuminati to save the people of Earth from his rampage but he drifted to a harsh planet named Sakaar and become the ruler of Sakaar with Caiera as his queen, after defeating the notorious tyrant Red King of that planet. However, their joy on Sakaar was short lived when the people on Sakaar and the pregnant Caiera died in a powerful explosion of warp-core from the shuttle that brought Hulk on Sakaar.

Without even verifying who caused the accident, Hulk madly blames The Illuminati for this incident and travels back to Earth for vengeance with The Warbound at his side. On moon, Hulk battles and savagely beats down The Inhuman king Black Bolt and even his Quasi-Sonic powers were only good enough to knock the Hulk back for a while. Then he returned to Earth with Black Bolt's unconscious body, announcing New York City to be immediately evacuated.

He then smashed his way into the X-Mansion to find Xavier, instead had a fight with the X-Men and the New X-Men. Dust, Elixir, Hellion, Mercury, Prodigy, Rockslide, Surge and X-23 of the New X-Men led the first wave of attack against the green rage monster but among them, only X-23 managed to hurt him bad. Then Beast, Colossus, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Lockheed, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat and Wolverine led the second wave. All of them are either knocked out or crippled by Hulk one by one.

The X-Factor team and Excalibur were also alerted about the situation, the unstoppable Juggernaut decides to butt-in but got a beat-down himself too. Darwin, Hepzibah, Multiple Man, Monet St. Croix, Siryn, Strong Guy, Warpath and Wolfsbane took another dig at the monster and helped the X-Men stand to their feet. After Cessily Kincaid showed him the graves of all the fallen mutants of their ranks during M-Day, Hulk leaves after learning their loss.

Failed to convince The Sentry to aid them stopping Hulk, Iron Man in his improved "Hulk-Buster" armor and their collision have destroyed the Stark Tower in the process. The sorcerer supreme Doctor Strange confronted him to stop his rampage by trying to reach out to Bruce Banner, but he easily defeats him seeing past his illusions, breaking Strange's hands doing so. Hulk then turned Madison Square Garden in a huge gladiator arena and forced them to fight each other in front of a large crowd.

With the city severely broken and evacuated, many attempts by several other superheroes failed to stop Hulk and his Warbound including Doc Samson, Ghost Rider, She-Hulk, the team of New Avengers, Excalibur, Heroes For Hire, The Initiative and Fantastic Four. Then finally, when all heroes fell before the might of the green goliath, the all powerful Golden Guardian of Good made up his mind to enter the scene; to play God.

"World War Hulk" is a major comic-book crossover event mainly featuring The Incredible Hulk, that was published in 2007 by Marvel Comics. In the aftermath of Planet Hulk story, a conspiracy which provoked this event as writer Greg Pak (Iron Man – House of M, X-Men – Phoenix – Endsong) returns to continue telling the story he started in the pages of Incredible Hulk long ago and to draw a conclusion with superstar artist John Romita Jr. (Avengers Vs. In Africa, a pack of military people working for a mysterious local warlord are looking for mutants to try and taking them as their slaves. But since the event of M-Day, mutant population has been drastically decreased to a very minimal level worldwide. Their scanner shows them the sign of a mutant right behind them and they met the weather manipulating X-Man Ororo, also known as Storm as they turn. In her homeland, the goddess kicked out the soldiers while two full grown up pet tigers that came with her, engages the rest of the militants. She gave that soldier a pretty hard time and then drops him on the ground after quite a spin in the atmosphere, which they pretty much deserved.

X-Men member Psylocke had previously died in a battle and recently she have re-appeared again in the X-Mansion. Psylocke's brother, Jamie Braddock appears in the mansion and he seems a bit insane of some sort this time. Nightcrawler and Marvel Girl kicked him on his chin to knock out but then he created a small illusion that caused them fighting each other, each thinking the other as Jamie. Psylocke and Cannonball joins the brawl but soon they also starts having the same illusion as Rachel and Kurt. Bishop caused some distraction that allows Psylocke to beat up her brother but Jamie killed all the X-Men by unleashing The Fury. Soon, he restores them back to life and informs that he is here to help them save the universe from The Foursaken and the event is of so much importance that Uatu the Watcher has also arrived.

It's the new age for the X-Men comic books as the popular Uncanny X-Men writer Chris Claremont (Doctor Strange, Iron Fist) teams up with the famous X-Men artist Chris Bachalo (Generation X, X-Men – Supernovas) in this three part storyline that was released in 2006 from Marvel Comics. Guest penciller Roger Cruz (Wolverine, X-Man) also filled in the pages of the final issue of the story. This tale ran from the issue #472-474 in the first volume of Uncanny X-Men monthly ongoing.
