Justice League – Outbreak | Comics

An ancient being contracted of fear has struck over the locality and Justice League tries to stop it but the combined efforts of Aquaman, Batman, Cyborg, Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman seemed not to affect it. Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz were chose to became Green Lanterns after overcoming their own fears. Keeping that in mind, Cruz and Baz takes a last stand against the entity as the rest of the League joins them.

Eventually the day is saved by eradicating its presence. Cyborg offers everyone a transport back home, Arthur took Diana with him to work on something and Jessica asks out Barry on a date. Batman wanted to talk with Superman but he flies off to join a family dinner and Victor transports Simon away to a high school football game with him.

On their date, Barry starts taunting Jessica and during his diner with Lois and Jon, Clark acts erratic and loses his temper about Batman. Seems like, the being of fear still has some effects on their mind. Victor discovers his system compromised and Justice League Watchtower was moments away from hitting San Francisco. Then the virus took over Simon Baz's power ring and unleashed all sorts of horror on them.

At the same time, all weapons in Batcave goes online targeting Batman. Afterwards, he discovered a unique virus a.i. is behind these anomalies and tracks it to the source. The League is attacked by Count Vertigo, Fearsome Five, Major Disaster and many others set after them by the a.i. Among them is Amazo, who can duplicate the power of all League members.

Justice League – Outbreak

The journey to 'Rebirth' continues in the second storyline of the Justice League monthly comics series. The story titled 'Outbreak' is comprised of issues #06-11 from the third monthly ongoing volume of the Justice League. Writer Bryan Hitch (Age of Ultron, The Ultimates) returns to deliver another Justice League book with assistance from artists Matthew Clark (Doom Patrol, Teen Titans), Tom Derenick, Neil Edwards and Jesus Merino.

Fear of Unknown

As Rebirth continues to bridge between past and future, it does follow up a step from The New 52. When the 'Justice League – Origin' was released, the next storyline, 'The Villain's Journey' was mostly a follow-up that focuses on the aftermath of what happened previously. DC Comics has implemented the same maneuver with 'Outbreak', staging the whole thing as a result of 'Kindred Invasion'.

Superman – Trials of the Super Sons | Comics

With Superman's own kid is the new Superboy on the block, friends and enemies started to take notice.

After his recent fight with an entity known as Eradicator (Son of Superman) and then tackling the Kryptonian monstrosity Doomsday on Metropolis (Path of Doom), Superman agrees that he and his family has been through a lot upon arriving on Prime Earth.

So, he took his time off from being Man of Steel to take Lois and Jon to Hamilton County Fair, even though his wife is really skeptical about his break from heroism. Clark does his best to keep his promise of no caped-adventure to her but couldn't help without interfering on a robbery that was taking place during the fair.

Later, at his Fortress of Solitude on Arctic Circle, Clark was helping Jon with his school science project and accidentally they both gets teleported to Dinosaur Island along with Krypto! The cube Jon has been working on was the thing that brought them here and as the father-son duo try to get it, they are attacked by giant fish and pterodactyls.

Amidst the middle of prehistoric creatures and remains of World War II, Clark and Jon discovers Captain William Storm of the World War II military unit called "The Losers" alive, who helps his best to send the Kents back to their home.

Superman – Trials of the Super Son | Comics

Maya Ducard AKA Nobody was sent by Damian Wayne to pick up Jon Kent from school as he was curious about the new Superboy, much to his father's dismay. Superman came crushing into the Batcave to rescue Jon as Batman expresses his concern over Superboy's lack of control on his near-limitless power.

Jon was able to calm them down from almost taking out each other in a heat of the situation. Damian's constant tease at Jon would make him engage in a fight with him and that led the brats to Batman's boot-camp, an attempt to make them learn to work together as a team, overseen by the Man of Steel himself.

Next up, Lois Lane goes to pay a visit to Editor Candice of the local newspaper, the Hamilton Horn but then all of a sudden, these two are being attacked in her office and chased by Frankenstein; agent of S.H.A.D.E. Since he wasn't after Lois, she uses her Hellbat Glove on him to save Candice.

Then taking Frankenstein's hover bike, they quickly ran off from the scene but he managed to latch on. Superman eventually finds out that Frankenstein is after his wife Lois Lane while he was actually after her Editor.

These two have traded a few blows with each other upon encounter until Clark's shotgun-wielding farmer neighbor Cobb Branden shot Frankenstein and stall him for a while till Superman came to punch him out. Frankenstein explains that he is after Candice, who was actually a purple skinned alien fugitive Kroog.

This alien is currently wanted by S.H.A.D.E. for acts of mass-murder on several planets. Soon, the four-armed Bride of Frankenstein barges in looking for the same person for collecting a considerable amount of bounty on its head and then their family issue came up in the middle to start a fight.

Superman – Trials of the Super Son

Building to the second story-arc of current series following the launch of DC Rebirth, "Trials of the Super Son" is actually a collection of mini-adventures from Superman's life on a new world. The plots were all devised by series-regular writer Peter Tomasi (Batman – Arkham Knight, Black Adam – The Dark Age).

He was assisted by talented artists Doug Mahnke (Justice League Elite, Major Bummer) Jorge Jiménez (Earth 2 – Society – Planetfall, Superman – The Final Days of Superman) and Patrick Gleason (Brightest Day, Sinestro Corps War). Published on 2017, this arc has run from issues #07-13 of the fourth monthly ongoing volume of Superman comic-book series from DC Comics.

Monstrous Family-Issues

Major protagonist characters like Aquaman, Batman, The Flash and Wonder Woman also made brief cameo appearance at the beginning of the story when Superman showed up helping each of them in his own superb-way. Then formation of "Super Sons" was under development as the young sons of Man of Steel and The Dark Knight were trying to survive obstacle courses from their fathers.

Paranormal gotten into the mix when Frankenstein of S.H.A.D.E. came looking for an intergalactic escapee where his wife also gotten involved and the series continues with a story of the Multiverse in the next arc titled "Multiplicity".

Titans – The Return of Wally West | Comics

When "Flashpoint" wave caused the creation of the reality of Prime Earth, speedster Wally West was missing from that timeline and Barry Allen was the one the world came to know as The Flash. Since, Wally has recently resurfaced from beyond the Speed-Force and with help from Barry Allen, has established his anchor to Prime Earth.

Donning a new red costume, Wally now goes looking for his friends, The Titans but the world that he knew has forgotten him long ago. Back at their old hangout, Wally is confronted by his old friend Dick Grayson AKA Nightwing, only to be tased by lightning upon touching him, which also restores his memory about Wally.

Rest of the gang he used to hang out with; Arsenal, Donna Troy, Omen and Tempest also arrived thinking Nightwing was in trouble and soon takes their shot on Wally and everyone's memory is eventually restored with the spark of his Speed Force, re-uniting the happy family of Titans once again.

Titans – The Return of Wally West | Comics

As Lilith Clay looked inside Wally's mind, she found a powerful thought in his mind, the name of Linda Park, whom he knew before all of these. Omen also unknowingly awakened another mind from within Wally's consciousness, currently residing in Keystone City.

A lousy magician named Mister Hocus Pocus, who suddenly started yelling in pain and transformed into Abra Kadabra, a villain who is obsessed with Wally West. Meanwhile, reporter Linda Park arrives at Keystone City looking for a fresh scoop and find out a crowd appeared out of nowhere, resembling to The Titans but only younger and in their old outfits.

She even confronted the Kid Flash among them about if he knows her, to which he denies as he was just born without any memories. Soon, the real Titans reach to the scene to confront their evil counterparts created by Abra Kadabra.

The magical reproductions of the original Titans seem to have outmatched the real team a bit but eventually got taken down. The puppet Lilith Clay figures out that Linda Park from the audience is very special to Abra Kadabra's arch-nemesis Wally West but he thinks that's impossible according to the history. However, the villain then abducts Linda Park in his twisted revenge scheme against Wally West and gave him only an hour to save her life.

Titans – The Return of Wally West

With a new wave of change, "DC Rebirth" has started unfolding many unresolved mysteries and providing long-awaited answers. "The Return of Wally West" storyline ran side by side with The Flash story-arc "Lightning Strikes Twice" and takes place to the third ongoing monthly series of "Titans", which is scripted by writer Dan Abnett (Ghostbusters, The Authority) and illustrated by artist Brett Booth (Justice League of America, Teen Titans – New 52), collecting issues #01-06 and Titans: Rebirth one-shot.

Wally's Last Run

The story sheds light on the reality altering events of DC Universe, as Flash's old enemy Abra Kadabra is back again with his bag full of tricks and it is revealed that he made his arch-nemesis disappear from reality.

Though he was responsible for Wally's disappearance, he has nothing to do with reality manipulation of Prime Earth, since he isn't that powerful. However, Abra Kadabra is still aware of a "Presence" that was actually responsible for that. This probably is a nod to the "Watchmen" connection, which will be more detailed in the upcoming "Made in Manhattan" storyline.

The Flash – Lightning Strikes Twice | Comics

As secrets from past beyond Flashpoint was coming back to him, Barry Allen is troubled with a wave of speedsters to take care of as The Flash.

As The Flash, Barry Allen is a gifted speedster and the fastest man alive on Earth, who also is a valued member of the Justice League. Recently, he's been struck with awe when Wally West from his past has made contact with him through the Speed Force, who was desperately seeking an anchor to hold on to this world to find his long-lost friends.

After Barry has reached out and acted as his "lightning rod", Wally successfully came out of the endless loop he was stuck in for the past 10 years. Now, there are also two other Wally West around from different timelines in this reality. The one that just came on Prime Earth has changed his costume and goes to find his friends in Titans.

Meanwhile, images of Wally and a strange apparition have been haunting his psyche as he was spending his days solving crime as a forensic scientist. He is waiting for a word from Batman about their recent "Revelation" about an artifact from beyond. It was a smiley face yellow button left behind by Wally earlier that night seeking help.

He races throughout Central City to lend a helping hand in need but feels that no matter how much he tries to help or does help, it's not enough ever. Barry reaches to a crime scene where he met Detective August Heart, his partner at Central City CSI and the only witness of the accident that gave him the speed-power after being struck with lightning.

The Flash - Lightning Strikes Twice | Comics

August goes to S.T.A.R. Labs as a police escort while Barry heads for his lunch date with Iris and her young nephew Wally. Ever since his old apprentice has returned from past, he has been trying to spend more time with his loved ones. They were talking about how things were at work for him lately but are interrupted by a fire emergency.

He again rushes to aid for a house fire nearby before heading to the S.T.A.R. Labs transport that is attacked by the terrorist gang called the Black Hole. August was on the field and when one of the Black Hole goons shoots him following a confrontation, Barry makes a last ditch attempt to desperately catch the bullet before it could hit August.

Moments prior to The Flash could reach Detective Heart; a sudden bolt of lightning hit him out of nowhere and instantly turned him into a speedster. Apparently he got access to Speed Force and took down his attacker before anyone could see it. August breaks the ice about Barry's secret identity when he finds out that he has the same powers like him.

Then they two had to partner up to rescue Iris West from the clutches of Black Hole who kidnapped her for digging too much and asking too many questions about their motive of robbery. A Speed-Force storm then starts randomly striking the citizens of Central City, creating many other speedsters in the process before finally passing.

The ones that misused their newfound powers for crime eventually ended up behind the walls of Iron Heights and the good folks were all sent to S.T.A.R. Labs so that they learn to control their untapped power. Barry explains to his friend about how Professor Zoom has murdered his mother and is kept within a special holding cell in here.

They meet Meena Dhawan, director of the Speed-Force testing center in S.T.A.R. Labs who goes to help out some more speedsters in need with Flash. They go back to Iron Heights afterwards only to find out that all the criminals with speed powers are all drained out of their Speed-Force by a ruthless and powerful new speedster named Godspeed.

The Flash – Lightning Strikes Twice

Just as the DC Rebirth crossover mania hits the entire DC Universe to the core the way it once stormed with "Flashpoint", writer Joshua Williamson (Birthright, Nailbiter) and artist Carmine di Giandomenico (Daredevil – Battlin' Jack Murdock, Spider-Man – Noir) were to pitch a Flash storyline with a bold new direction that fits the vibe of "DC Rebirth"

Starting from the special Rebirth one-shot issue; the arc dazzles to a new peak taking point from there. Alongside the Flash: Rebirth one-shot, the arc is covered in issues #1-8 from the fifth ongoing monthly volume of The Flash comic-book series and is about to be concluded in "Speed of Darkness" storyline up next, where the original Kid Flash will meet his Prime Earth counterpart and a villain from past named The Shade will return to haunt them.

Somewhere in Eastern Europe, Wonder Woman was on a mission to stop war and while she was trashing enemy tanks, a massive tremor suddenly crashed the whole place down, killing almost everyone and left her speechless at this incident. Then the news of multiple earthquake and tsunamis killing many around the globe hits the broadcast worldwide like wildfire. Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz go to Beijing to help and Cyborg handles the situation in New York.

Justice League – The Extinction Machines | Comics

The Flash races to San Francisco and Aquaman struggles to restore balance in a trembled Atlantis while maintaining order among his loyal subjects. Then the populace of earth gathered starting to chant for “The Kindred”, as a hive-minded living organism. The recently deceased soldiers killed by the tremor also crawled back up to Diana chanting to give up her power. Jessica, Simon and Flash experience a sudden outage of power right at that moment.

Aquaman too finds his subjects turned to him chanting mindlessly for The Kindred. In Gotham, Batman finds a giant bug-like object while getting updates from Cyborg on the activities of the new Superman about how he is saving the day all around the world on his own. The object suddenly busts out releasing an enormous herd of bugs on the civilians. The Flash came just in time to rescue the civilians from the bug-attack and cleaned up the scene.

Just as they all gets back on their feet, Cyborg calls everyone back to the Watchtower. He shows four circled object at Earth’s core and they see a fleet of those bug-like objects approaching. Batman goes to get Superman to help the Justice League. Jessica and Simon eventually discovers the source of bug-armada through a wormhole in space. Diana encounters one of The Kindred and Superman flies to the core of earth to remove The Kindred’s Extinction Machines.

As the situation gets worse over the world, Wonder Woman faces one of The Kindred to free the innocents from their grasp but she too is pulled inside. Jessica, Simon, Flash and Cyborg get busy to handle the next wave of The Kindred on Earth. Batman asks Victor to open a portal to Earth's core and Superman goes in to save his newly adopted world.
