Trinity – Dead Space | Comics

When an alien virus strikes Justice League Watchtower, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman takes it upon themselves to save and humankind.

On his very own Fortress of Solitude, Superman brings along Batman and Wonder Woman to share about his recent life events after his encounter with Mister Mxyzptlk. He also reveals about the mysterious hooded entity her was visited by earlier who goes by the name Mister Oz, whom he thinks knows more about his life than himself.

Lately, he was even having dreams of fighting against his younger self, Superman of Prime Earth who just wants his own life back. Only for the arrival of Bruce and Diana, they are finally stopped. Aside from Lois, Jon and Supergirl, Clark told no one about these visions and Bruce suggests him to keep it that way until they figure this out.

This Trinity of superheroes has reunited only a short while ago and has already gone through a lot when Mongul trapped them all within a dream world that they made out alive because of a sentient being called White Mercy. Clark takes his friends back in Smallville looking for her but then are teleported to Watchtower via Boom Tube.

What they used to call headquarter is now in complete ruins, signaling an unknown breach and they discovered Cyborg being torn into parts. As Victor was losing breath, he was being carried out to lower levels of the satellite to get powered up but is ambushed by alien parasite infected Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz in midway.

Even under the influence of alien virus, Simon asks for help before Jessica blew a hole and sending them all to space. The Dark Knight and Victor's remains are saved by The Flash who came just in time. Barry reveals that it all started after a meteor shower that allowed these alien creatures to take over entire Justice League by storm.

Superman and Wonder Woman returns to Watchtower through an opening and comes across an alien Traveler who informs them about a deadly alien virus that has spread on board, which will claim Earth if not completely destroyed soon. Despite the threat of mass-infection, Clark and Diana are not willing to hurt their friends.

Batman and Flash gets attacked by an infected Aquaman out of nowhere, which forced Barry to take this fight away in spite of being slowed down by lack of gravity out there. Suddenly, the satellite starts moving from orbit and Man of Steel tries his best to somehow swing it past Earth when he is attacked by Jessica and Simon once again.

With a giant alien mother engagingly lashing her deadly tentacles at him, the Caped Crusader races against time in a desperate bid to get help for Cyborg and save his life. In his attempt of running from it, Bruce gets stabbed once but he totally ignores it in order to reboot Victor's system and regulate his heart before it is too late.

Arguing about lives of her closest allies, Diana eventually discovers a dark truth about the true origin of those extraterrestrial beings with a little help from her legendary Lasso of Truth when stumbled onto a locked chamber and turned into a monster.

Elsewhere, villainous witch Circe has lured Lex Luthor and Ra's al Ghul to form their unholy Trinity. Though reluctant at first, Luthor and Ra's both consider this assembly as a temporary alliance to know more about her plan after besting a vile amalgamation of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman emerging from Pandora Pits.

All Along The Watchtower

A reunion of three of world's greatest superheroes was quickly crashed by a former nemesis and now they face a challenge of saving all humankind from a fatal alien virus that claimed their dearest friends too. Their friendship and reliance on each other is put into test like they were in another major Crisis event of some sort for a while.

Collecting issues #7-11 from second Trinity ongoing series, "Dead Space" catches onto recent events of Multiverse from "Superman Reborn" crossover and involves Justice League in main story. It also builds path for upcoming adventure in "Dark Destiny", where few mystical heroes and their "Dark Trinity" counterparts will cross paths.

Red Hood and the Outlaws – Who Is Artemis | Comics

Though Red Hood and Bizarro knows very little about Amazon warrior Artemis, they all stands together when her past comes to strike back.

In absence of Gotham City crime-lord Black Mask, Red Hood decides to step up and scare the goons of the former mob-boss away but faced with hostility from them. When they came at him, Bizarro shows up all of a sudden and starts trashing the mobs.

As the flawed Superman clone and ex-Robin was doing the clean-up, Killer Croc of Suicide Squad throws Jason Todd up out of nowhere. Feeling extremely protective about Red Hood, Bizarro freezes his head and punched it off, only to reveal it was a synthezoid.

Jason shares his concern about Bizarro to Artemis, who shows him classified videos at LexCorp that all the Bizarro clones were meant to be destroyed because their unstable nature poses a threat to everyone. For the safe of every other living being, Jason makes up his mind to take care of the matter and visits the Batcave to acquire the means to do that.

To put him out of his misery, Jason takes Bizarro on a trip to a riverside where the latter explains how he sees him and Artemis as his only friends and eventually, his positive perspective convinced Jason of keeping up instead of killing him.

Next up, Red Hood and Artemis walks into a bar looking for a man named Stirk, which created a stir among the patrons and the femme fatale trashed the whole place within moments. She momentarily stunned seeing a glimpse of her old friend Akila but Jason reveals it to be Stirk by knocking him over.

Jason asks her about Akila and Artemis starts telling about her time in the fallen town of Bana-Mighdall, training with her best friend to be the champion of her people. Ages before, one of the Amazon foremothers had a clash with Queen Hippolyta and then they departed from Themyscira as a new pantheon of gods took them in.

Akila was a champion of the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall and never wanted to become Shim'tar. One day she vanished without a trace and was found by Artemis, who was sure that her friend has been summoned by the gods. When invaders from Qurac attacked, she picked up the Bow of Ra and in an attempt to save her people, Akila doomed them all.

Artemis reached at the scene too late and found Wonder Woman there to take the threat down. Although she attacked Diana at first but soon they teamed-up to defeat Akila possessed by Ra, killing her and Bow of Ra was lost.

Today, Red Hood, Artemis and Bizarro go to K'kyesh, Qurac seeing news of chaos by unidentified weapon of mass destruction back there. After their plane is shot out off sky, Bizarro got stranded, Jason is captured by the men of Qurac's General Ahmed Heinle and Artemis faces a ghost from the past.

Red Hood and the Outlaws – Who Is Artemis

The second monthly ongoing volume of Red Hood and the Outlaws brings the storyline, "Who Is Artemis" from DC Comics in 2017. It all begins from the previous story arc "Dark Trinity" at the dawn of DC Rebirth, where Artemis stumbled onto Jason Todd as she was looking for the missing Bow of Ra and now concluding the plot in "Who Is Artemis".

Collecting issues #07-11, the storyline is composed by veteran comic-book writer Scott Lobdell (Alpha Flight, Generation X), who was aided by artists Dexter Soy (Batman – Arkham Knight – Genesis, DC Universe Vs. Masters of the Universe), Kenneth Rocafort (Madame Mirage, Velocity) and Mirko Colak.

Outlaws at War

While characters like Batman, The Joker and Lex Luthor appears throughout the story in holograms or visions, Alfred Pennyworth and Wonder Woman made actual cameo appearance. Since Artemis is now a part of Red Hood's Outlaws, Jason took it upon himself and Bizarro to aid her and thus, the bond of the Outlaws became greater than ever.

The first Bizarro was actually a creature dubbed as Subject B-0 that died saving Luthor from the assault of Crime Syndicate during the events of "Forever Evil". The one that is hanging out with Artemis and Jason is Bizarro II from one of Lex's latter experiments.

Three years have passed since anyone seen The Dark Knight of Gotham City and other heroes have retreated while a Master Race rises.

The Dark Knight has been gone after the fall of Lex Luthor's tyrannical reign and demise of a Joker-like Dick Grayson, who was hell-bent on killing off elderly heroes. Batman has been gone off the grids for three years now and Bruce Wayne is also nowhere to be found. Because of his long absence, many believe that he is dead and not coming back this time.

Someone enters the Batcave to shatter down a display case where the Batsuit was hanging and took it. Suddenly, images of a shrouded figure beating up trigger-happy cops chasing an unarmed suspect blows up on media, who appears to be Batman.

In a forest, Wonder Woman is fighting a giant Minotaur while holding her young son Jonathan on her back to save the natives from it. Upon defeating the creature, Diana heads back to Paradise Island for a sparring session with her daughter Lara, only to learn that she is gone.

Always questioned about her inheritance, she finds Superman inside the Fortress of Solitude, who has willingly frozen himself on an icy throne. Hearing noise, Lara discovers the Bottle City of Kandor, which she then takes to Ray Palmer AKA The Atom and asks for his help to restore the shrunken city of Kandor.

Following the ground-breaking success of "The Dark Knight Returns" and "The Dark Knight Strikes Again", writer Frank Miller (300, Ronin) returned with third installment of The Dark Knight Trilogy from DC Comics in 2017 after it started in 2015. Brian Azzarello (Wonder Woman – Blood, Wonder Woman – Guts) also helped Miller devise a more balanced plot this time than his past efforts of writing senseless superhero violence.

Artist Andy Kubert (Before Watchmen – Nite Owl, Damian – Son of Batman) draws core story from all issues while Klaus Janson returned to work on tie-in shorts, also set on the same alternate reality of Earth-31 from DC Multiverse.

Whereas "The Dark Knight Returns" kind of expected all readers to assume the worst have happened to our vigilante hero before they even began and "The Dark Knight Strikes Again" just started throwing things at us without any explanation, DKIII actually tries to dive slightly deeper than before while leaving possibilities for a sequel.

Aside from regular primary character of this series, AquamanThe FlashGreen Lantern Hal Jordan, Hawkman and Hawkgirl appeared throughout the story. Hopefully, we will see young Jonathan grow up to be Superboy as his elder sister becomes a Supergirl in this brave-new world.

They are the original Suicide Squad that she formed years ago and now all of them want revenge on her. Aside from that, there is a weapon in Belle Reve which will grant Max absolute power and control over the whole world and he is leading his team of misfits here to retrieve it.

Meanwhile, seeking revenge on director Amanda Waller, Max Lord eventually manages to convince Doctor Polaris, Emerald Empress, Johnny Sorrow, Lobo and Rustam to his goals so that they can chase their own with his help. He is about to unleash darkness upon the world and Lord goes looking for it in an island of South Pacific with his own team of Task Force X.

After killing all the Shamans who opposed them, Max confronts their High Priest to get his tool of revenge against Waller. He got his hands on a source of power he was looking for long but it proved to be too much for him to control and he succumbs to it.

Another storyline "Going Sane" was running parralel with this event and part of that even made it to the crossover. It mainly takes place on six-part limited series Justice League Vs. In the aftermath, Justice League series proceeds with the storyline "Timeless" and Suicide Squad with "Burning Down The House" storyline next.

This limited series marks the first major confrontation of the most popular super-hero team and mont notorious anti-hero team of DC Comics and will remain as the only one until they arrange another such encounter of ensemble characters. In the aftermath of this epic clash, few of the bad guys will even find their own way of redemption by serving to save the world.

Trinity – Better Together | Comics

A Trinity of world's most legendary superheroes is reformed only to stand opposing the power of White Mercy.

In their gloriously extensive superhero career, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman have taken on various enemies like Bane, Cheetah, Doomsday, The Joker and Lex Luthor individually but together they are capable of achieving triumph over greater evil.

The Final Days of Superman has left the world without a protector to look after and then it turns out there is another time-displaced Man of Steel around them who's been living among them with his family for some time. He is married to reporter Lois Lane, with whom he has a ten year old son and they all are denizens of Prime Earth now.

When Lois Lane invited them, Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince arrive on Smith Farm, Hamilton County. They decide to keep this simple but a brash young Jon Kent blasts them away when he got startled by seeing Bruce's costume underneath his dress along with Diana's Bracelets of Submission and a dead wild boar using his x-ray vision.

Returning home right after his regular world saving roundups, Clark discovers them on his land at the same time. All of them go inside after settling up to have a nice family dinner together and The Trinity then reunites in a nearby field afterwards recalling their old times from both worlds while something mysterious lurks near the barn.

Trinity – Better Together | Comics

Clark recalls of that one time from his early days, when Bruce wore a rainbow suit to draw everyone's attention and keeping them from finding out Dick Grayson's identity as Robin. Bruce then shares his first-hand experience of meeting a young Superman of this world who nearly killed him and Green Lantern Hal Jordan upon meeting.

So, he couldn't help but being curious about this new Man of Steel from another world is and came to find out who he really is. Diana took a little bit of private time with Lois to talk and she assures that she isn't here to steal Clark from her or rekindle her old relationship with him at all because he is not the same man she once loved.

Suddenly, Clark hears a call from inside their barn and goes to check out a mysterious mirror where he sees a reflection of his young self from past and his father Jonathan Kent. Following Clark, Bruce and Diana took on a journey where Clark has just discovered his amazing abilities and is scared to see The Trinity on Kent Farm.

In Gotham, Batman has witnessed his parent's death once again from over a rooftop as Clark and Diana stands by. With Alfred Pennyworth and Dr. Harleen Quinzel being at his side at Wayne Manor, his kid self is currently in shock and struggling to deal with issues when horrors like Man-Bat and Scarecrow constantly tries terrorizing him.

Their quest eventually lead them all to Themyscira, where Diana met with her mother Queen Hippolyta and her younger self, followed by three of them. These heroes are being tested for their skills and merit in games of Amazons. Meanwhile, Lois storms into the barn with a car to discover villainous Poison Ivy grabs a hold of her son Jon.

A night that started with a family-reunion soon escalates into a major crisis of illusion constructed by one of their dreaded old nemesis and an alien tyrant named Mongul, who is back with his daughter White Mercy. Together, this ruthless father-daughter duo is about to put an end to The Trinity inside a world full of illusions.

The story arc "Better Together" is the first one that is set in Prime Earth continuity and collects issues #01-06 from second ongoing monthly volume of titular series. Whereas every other ongoing titles following DC Rebirth re-launch received a one-shot "Rebirth" issue to start with, Trinity took a slightly different path by not including one.

This is also the first time when an alternate version of heroes, who is from pre-Flashpoint era, has joined their little band of three and that actually gives a dynamic sense of diversity to this iconic team. While discussing about stuffs of two different worlds, references of Green Lantern from Prime Earth and Robin of New Earth were mentioned.

A few unresolved issues like what happens to Mongul next will be further detailed in "Action Comics – The New World". The plotline will be followed up with their next adventure titled "Dead Space", where these heroes will fight an alien invasion and will seek help from a mystic trinity later to save a few more in "Dark Destiny" storyline.
