Han Solo | Comics

A young human orphan from Corellia, who grew up to be galaxies' most notorious smuggler, Han Solo used to work for Jabba the Hutt after finishing the Kessel Run within twelve parsecs. He mostly hangs out with his Wookiee best-bud Chewbacca, who is also his first mate aboard the Millennium Falcon ship and has a friendly rivalry going on with fellow smuggler Lando Calrissian. His life was completely changed when he agreed to take young Luke Skywalker, veteran Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and their droids R2-D2 and C-3PO to Alderaan system for a pretty hefty payment.

Solo lost his parents in a very early age and rose by pirate Garris Shrike along with his crew before he finally escaped as a teen. From then, Han started out as an outlaw smuggler, working for his own interests. He had a short history with Bria Tharen of the Rebel Alliance until she left him for the sake of her duties. When he saved a Wookiee named Chewbacca from the internment of an Imperial officer, it became his closest ally and swore a life debt to the outlaw. The Millennium Falcon actually belonged to Lando, which Han won in a gamble and used for his future endeavors.

A New Hope
Solo and Chewbacca were at Cantina looking for some ways to pay off his debts to Jabba or he is in trouble. When former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi approached him for a safe passage to the Alderaan system with Luke Skywalker and the droids, Han charged them more than his usual. Surprisingly, Obi-Wan raised his bid before leaving the place, offering more than what was asked for and that made Han quickly accept the job. Seeing a way to finally pay Jabba the Hutt, he sends Chewbacca to get the ship ready. Before leaving the Cantina, Solo came across bounty hunter Greedo and shot him first.

He soon is confronted by Jabba with his bounty hunter Boba Fett and barely managed to convince them to let him go so he can repay the Hutt. As they were about to leave, Stormtroopers shot at them but Solo ditched them and two Imperial Star Destroyers as they jumped into hyperspace. Although, a non-believer of the Force, Han witnessed its power when he saw Obi-Wan training Luke but still remained skeptical. The band reached to Alderaan systems when it was already destroyed and discovered the Imperial space station, Death Star, which pulled them in.

Darth Vader ordered the Stormtroopers to search the ship and Han Solo took them down to go looking for Princess Leia in their guise with Luke. After rescuing Princess Leia Organa, he eventually got involved with the Rebellion to oppose The Empire. Obi-Wan sacrifice himself in a lightsaber duel with Vader so that they could escape in Millennium Falcon to Yavin IV. Although Han wanted to leave right away after collecting his payment, he eventually fought alongside the rebels in the Battle of Yavin before Luke destroyed the Death Star for the Rebellion.

The Empire Strikes Back
Three years after blowing up the Death Star, the Rebellion has moved to ice planet of Hoth and Han Solo goes looking for a missing Luke. He finds Luke unconscious and managed to rescue him after keeping his friend from freezing to death. Upon convinced by bounty hunter Ord Mantell, Han finally decides to pay his debt to Jabba the Hutt but Princess Leia thought he was leaving and requests him to stay with the rebels. Han thought Leia romantic feelings, which resulted in a heated conversation.

Han Solo and Chewbacca found and destroyed one of the probe droids employed by Vader but by then, it has managed to inform Imperial fleet about the rebels. Darth Vader heads toward Hoth with reinforcements and the rebels attempt to retreat beyond outer rim. When the Sith Lord arrived on Hoth, Leia is rescued by Han and escaped in Millennium Falcon alongside C-3PO and Chewbacca. Aboard the ship, Han and Leia shared a passionate kiss before ditching the Imperial fleet into an asteroid field.

Unable to make a hyperspace jump, Han Solo land on an asteroid to repair the ship but the threat of space slug Exogorth forced them to flee to Cloud City. There, Han and his group are welcomed by his old friend Lando Calrissian, who runs the place. Meanwhile, Vader summons a few bounty hunters to bring the Millennium Falcon to him and Boba Fett eventually tracks them to Cloud City. Lando lured Han, Leia and Chewbacca to a room where Darth Vader was already waiting for them. Since he planned to put Luke into suspended animation, Vader froze Han in carbonite and handed him over to Boba Fett.

Return of the Jedi
Frozen in carbonite, Han Solo is taken to Jabba's Palace by bounty hunter Boba Fett and Jabba the Hutt kept him as his most favorite trophy. Following his previous battle with Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and his friends came to rescue Han from captivity. Whatever ruse he tried with Jabba didn't quite catch on and upon discovering that they all are here to free Han, he condemned them to Sarlacc pit. Han was still experiencing temporary blindness because of the hibernation and in the ensuing chaos; he shot Fett's jetpack, sending him into Sarlacc.

Back at his feet, Han joined forces with the rebellion once again and by this time, The Empire has already built the second Death Star. Han became General Solo during the Battle of Endor and led the rebels to blow up the shield generator of Imperial super-weapon. On the forest moon of Endor, their group had a run-in with Ewoks tribe, who eventually helped the rebels in their mission. Seeing the strong resolve of his son for him, Vader manages to kill Darth Sidious to save Luke and following the destruction of the second Death Star, Han and Leia finally reunites.

The Force Awakens
Galactic Empire has fallen thirty years ago and now The First Order is menacing the galaxy, while General Leia Organa oppose them with the Resistance at her side. An elderly Han Solo and Chewbacca pulled the Millennium Falcon with a tractor beam after finding it on Jakku, only to discover scavenger Rey, former First Order Stormtrooper Finn and droid unit BB-8 inside his ship. These three were running from Imperial Troops looking for the droid, who now has the map leading to the location of self-exiled Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, whom both the The First Order and Leia is looking for.

Han and Leia had a son named Ben Solo, a Force-sensitive child who was sent to the newly built Jedi Temple of Luke Skywalker to train with him. However, the boy was seduced by Supreme Leader Snoke of the First Order to the dark side and he ultimately became a Sith Lord named Kylo Ren. Han then went back to smuggling and returns years later to help the Resistance take down the First Order after coming to meet Leia. With Chewbacca, Finn and Rey, Solo goes to his final mission at Starkiller Base, where he confronts his son to reach out to him only to be stabbed by a lightsaber and fall to his death.

Boba Fett | Comics

As he was known as the best bounty hunter in the entire galaxy, Jango Fett was approached by Sith Lord Darth Tyranus to be a genetic template of a Clone Army for The Republic. Not only has he received a very handsome payment for that, he also collected an unaltered clone whom he named Boba Fett and started raising him as his own son. Jango was decapitated by Jedi Master Mace Windu when confronted in the first battle of Clone Wars.

This motivated a young and grieving Boba to follow his father’s path of becoming a bounty hunter and take revenge on the Jedi Master who killed him. Even though his attempt at retribution on The Jedi for Jango's death failed, he quickly formed his own gang and gained status as one of the galaxy's deadliest bounty hunters.

Boba had established a syndicate of bounty hunters by himself and worked for Jabba the Hutt. When Sith Lord Darth Vader came to Jabba's Palace looking for best bounty hunters, Jabba sent Boba Fett to Vader. Boba had to apprehend the young Luke Skywalker and the vessel Millennium Falcon for Vader.

Fett left a trail of dead bodies hunting for Skywalker, whom he finally found and tried to take him as a prisoner with no success. Even after his failed attempt to get the boy, Boba was hired by Darth Vader again years later to bring Hutt's best smuggler Han Solo. Boba later delivered a frozen Han Solo from Vader to Jabba's but Solo's rebel friends managed to rescue him in time and a briefly blinded Solo accidentally banged the bounty hunter into the sarlacc pit.

Writer John Wagner (Aliens – Berserker, Judge Dredd) played a very prominent role in exploring the character throughout his various major and minor comic-book appearances in the early days. Even though the allegiance of the character is neither good nor evil, he still is arguably one of the most celebrated personalities of the franchise and that even earned him a place in the games based on the chronology as well as the TV series titled “Clone Wars”.

Long ago, a group of religious individuals called The Jedi who followed and have faith in it have established the Galactic Republic. Like the Light Side, the Force also has a dark counterpart of its own called The Dark Side of the Force. Another devious cult following has practiced to master the power of The Dark Side goes by the named Sith, who operated under the regime of Galactic Empire with their own Code of the Sith.

For millennia, these two religious groups had been at war with each other over their principles and ideology and the reign of Siths were finally over. The Galactic Republic was formed with the alliance of the independent star systems of the galaxy and they were represented by a Senator from each system to the Republic Senate. The Siths learned to be tricky in order to rise again and a new Sith Lord by the name of Darth Sidious even managed to gain means to manipulate the Senate as he sees fit.

The Phantom Menace
Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his trainee Obi-Wan Kenobi go for a negotiation with the Trade Federation and they try to kill the Jedi as Darth Sidious advises them to. These two not only survives the surprise attack but also managed to flee to Naboo, where they met an outcast Jar Jar Binks running from battle droids. Queen Padmé Amidala is rescued and was escorted by the Jedi to Coruscant but as their ship took damage, they are forced to land on the desert planet of Tatooine. Qui-Gon discovers little slave Anakin Skywalker and senses his strong bond with The Force.

After managing to earn his freedom from his master Watto, Anakin tags along with Qui-Gon Jinn bidding his mother goodbye. Just as they were about to leave Tatooine, Sith Lord Darth Maul attempts to kidnap the queen but Qui-Gon outsmarts him in a short fight. When Padmé safely reaches to Coruscant, Senator Palpatine tries to convince her to replace the current Chancellor Valorum with someone more capable. Qui-Gon takes Anakin to the Jedi Council and asks permission to train him but seeing potential of the boy turning to The Dark Side, the Council refuses.

Despite the Jedi Council being hesitant to take the boy as a Jedi Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn decides to train young Anakin anyway. Sneakingly taking a starfighter, Anakin slips through the hangar and incapacitates the droid army by blowing up the Federation's Droid Control Ship all by himself. Darth Sidious sends his apprentice Darth Maul after Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the middle of the invasion on Naboo. Qui-Gon dies battling Maul and afterwards, Obi-Wan eventually managed to kill the latter by bisecting him before taking Anakin as his apprentice to become a Jedi.

Offering the knowledge of The Dark Side of The Force to help save Padmé, Palpatine reveals himself to be Darth Sidious.

Obi-Wan were on Utapau, where he engages General Grievous and put an end to his reign of terror. Yoda heads to Kashyyyk to accompany his Wookiee friends in battle against the droid army. Sidious in the mean time has set "Order 66" in motion for the clone troopers to kill all Jedi at sight, forcing Obi-Wan and Yoda into hiding. Palpatine declares the former Galactic Senate to be the Galactic Empire, with him being the Emperor.

Anakin is sent to the Jedi Temple to kill everyone and then to the volcanic planet Mustafar for wiping out all the remaining Separatist leaders by Palpatine. Obi-Wan was shocked to learn about Anakin's turning into The Dark Side from the security archives, where he saw his former apprentice killing all the young Padawans of the Jedi Temple. However, Anakin's wife Padmé refuses to believe this when Obi-Wan confronts her about Anakin's location. She travels to Mustafar to try and convince Anakin to leave his current path and then he is confronted by Obi-Wan, who secretly followed.

Feeling betrayed by his beloved Padmé for leading Obi-Wan to him, Anakin violently force-chokes her. The former master and apprentice then begin a lightsaber duel that leaves Anakin lose all of his limbs in the end and his burning body was left for dead. After having a brief Force-fight with Yoda, Palpatine goes to rescue a dying Anakin from Mustafar, whom he reformed with cybernetics. Padmé eventually dies while giving birth to Luke and Leia. The Force Awakens
With the death of The Emperor, the Galactic Civil War finally ended and Galactic Empire has fallen. General Leia Organa leads The Resistance and The First Order rises to eradicate the New Republic. Imperial stormtroopers led by a new Sith Lord Kylo Ren invades Jakku to find a map to the location of a self-exiled Luke Skywalker and captures pilot Poe Dameron while his droid BB-8 runs with the map. Feeling withdrawn from his cause, stormtrooper FN-2187, whom Poe names "Finn", frees him and both escapes in a TIE fighter.

BB-8 found and tagged along with a lone scavenger named Rey, whom Finn stumbles onto upon forced to crash-land on Jakku. They are all tracked down by troops of The First Order and Rey managed to fly them out in the Millennium Falcon from a junkyard. Han Solo and Chewbacca find way into their own ship and enlighten the newer generation of youth about how Galactic Civil War went out. The ship falls under attack by rival space gangs betrayed by Han and one of them informs The First Order about their location.

Supreme Leader Snoke orders General Hux to fire their Death Star-like super-weapon at Starkiller Base and they wipe out the Republic capital. As BB-8's map deemed incomplete, Han tells his crew that Luke actually tried to rebuild Jedi Order before going into exile but one of his student gone rogue by giving in to The Dark Side and burned the Jedi Temple after killing other students. Rey starts having visions after finding the lightsaber of Anakin Skywalker and Kylo captures her. Starkiller Base prepares to fire on Resistance base at D'Qar and the trio of Han, Chewbacca and Finn flies there.

In an attempt to bring Kylo from his path, Han sacrifices himself while unsuccessfully trying to convince him to leave the Dark Side. An enraged Chewbacca shoots and wound Kylo as they try to escape the base. Finn is taken out in a lightsaber duel with Kylo Ren but could barely hold him against the Sith Lord for long. Rey then took control of the lightsaber and managed to hold her off as the Starkiller Base is destroyed by the Resistance. The sudden awakening of R2-D2 reveals the location of the map where Luke Skywalker is and Rey finds him on a distant island.

The Last Jedi
Although Starkiller Base was previously destroyed, Supreme Leader Snoke led the First Order to General Leia Organa's Resistance base at D'Qar and the rebels are forced to flee. Poe Dameron led a dangerous mission to destroy a First Order dreadnought that cost the lives of many and they all jump to hyperspace. Surprisingly, they are still being followed and while Kylo Ren hesitates to shoot, a TIE fighter blows up the part where Leia was. She survives the vacuum of space using The Force and is hospitalized once inside, leaving Vice Admiral Holdo in charge.

With Chewbacca and R2-D2, Rey reaches on Ahch-To on Millennium Falcon to take Luke Skywalker back to help the Resistance but he is still adamant to remain in exile for failing Kylo and believes the Jedi should extinct. Meanwhile, Rey and Kylo contact each other using the Force as she learns what really happened to Ben Solo. Luke confesses that he considered killing his nephew sensing his corruption but the boy survived and destroyed Luke's Jedi Order. Rey leaves Luke behind to try and redeem Kylo from The Dark Side.

Admiral Holdo plans for their evacuation in small transports but Poe leads a revolt, while a recently awake Finn, Rose and BB-8 goes to Canto Bight looking for a hacker named DJ who can help them disrupt the First Order's tracking device. Once inside Snoke's ship, they all got captured by Captain Phasma and Rey willingly arrives to convince Kylo. As she is presented in front of Supreme Leader, he reveals that the Force connection they felt earlier was made by him. Snoke orders his apprentice to kill Rey but he killed his master instead and fought the Praetorian Guard with Rey.

Though Rey believed that Kylo Ren has changed, he offers her to rule the galaxy by his side and starts struggling for control over Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber when she refuses. Ultimately, the lightsaber splits in two, Kylo gets knocked over and Rey escapes to help her friends. Sending Leia and other to a long-deserted base on Crait, Admiral Holdo stays behind and then rams her ship to Snoke's ship at light speed, critically damaging it. BB-8, Finn and Rose managed to survive their execution and join the rest on Crait.

Declaring him the new Supreme Leader, Kylo Ren led the First Order to Battle of Crait and Resistance fighters barely put up a battle against them. Luke Skywalker appears out of the blue and after comforting Leia, he goes to face the First Order. He orders everyone to fire at Luke and even after a massive rain of fire, Luke came out unharmed. An enraged Kylo decides to face Luke face to face but unable to hit him. Finally, it was revealed that Luke was never here and Force-projected himself for the Resistance to flee. Thus, the Rebellion is reborn and he dies of exhaustion.
