Venom – Homecoming | Comics

Former Army Ranger Lee Price was thinking about how life choices are so easy for bad guys and how it takes a lot of strength to do the right thing at all times to be a good guy. He is currently looking for a job in New York City just to pay his rents and his friend Tony has set him up with Mac Gargan for an interview.

Trying to intimidate his new recruit, Gargan asks him if he has ever killed anyone and what was the reason for his discharge, to which Lee responds by saying, he can kill people if needed and two of his fingers blew out in the line of duty, which has classified him as "disabled".

Meanwhile, the Venom symbiote was wandering without a host for some time after being separated from Flash Thompson. When Lee and his friends showed up at their spot at that night for the job Gargan offered, it was an exchange between Tombstone's gang and Black Cat's gang.

It went sour and Tombstone's people start pulling their guns and then suddenly out of nowhere, the symbiote arrives at the scene and almost immediately bonded with Lee. Surprisingly enough, Lee gained total control over the suit and trashed his enemies.

He then kills his own peers and a homeless man to eradicate all evidence from scene before taking all the crates with him to his home. Back at his place, his suit was having a psychic struggle with Lee over taking control on him but it fails due to his training in army.

The next day, he goes to meet crime boss Black Cat to return her goodies back to her and decides to join her gang. Seeing Mac Gargan working for her, the symbiote protests his idea and even made him vomit to create a scene, which Gargan finds quite fishy.

When Lee returned to his apartment, he stumbled onto an assassin named Firebug, who is here on behalf of his boss to make him pay for murdering Tombstone's gang. As the guy had power of pyrokinesis, Venom finds it hard to fight back but to save Lee's life, it helped anyway.

At that very moment, FBI Agent Coyle Bagman and Wambaugh, who were keeping an eye on Lee decides to intervene and take him into custody. Lee escapes but the agents find him again, forcing to work for them whether he likes it or not as they are capable of neutralizing him anytime they want if he doesn't comply.

Deciding to unravel what is really at play with her new hired gun Lee Price, Black Cat sends him to scare off a Daily Bugle reporter from a story he's been working on, where Gargan tags along with him as Scorpion. The assignment quickly turned into a fight between the two.

When footage of their brawl goes live on social media, it catches the eyes of Spider-Man and he decides to bump in. Still, things start getting out of hand and the person who has the most experience with symbiotes; Eddie Brock enters the scene.

Venom – Homecoming

Marvel Comics
hires comic-book writer Mike Costa (Web Warriors of the Spider-Verse – Electroverse, Web Warriors of the Spider-Verse – Spiders Vs.) and artist Gerardo Sandoval (Age of Apocalypse – Warzones!, Korvac Saga – Warzones!) to cook up a brand-new storyline for their re-launch of new Venom monthly ongoing title in 2017.

Classic Spider-Man villains Black Cat and Scorpion also made special appearance into this arc which collects first six issues from the series. Plus, a new host for Klyntar is found in Lee Price, who has demonstrated his capability as a psychotic killer and to become a notorious villain.

Deadliest Fanged Monster

One of Spider-Man's arch nemesis for years, Venom returns with his third ongoing monthly series but this time, the suit didn't return as "Lethal Protector" Eddie Brock was during his run, nor "Agent of the Cosmos" it became with Flash Thompson. This time, the alien symbiote finds a host that is evil and it would still be an understatement to describe him.

Things will go crazy if he ever stumbles onto another deadly symbiote Carnage in Venom suit or worse, if Carnage chose him as new host. The series will explore new turn of events in next storyline "Land Before Crime" and paves a way for a few more in line.

While Peter is trapped in his fragile body, which is slowly dying, the Octavious Spidey bids farewell to the dying Peter Parker with taunting him a little bit. With only a few hours to live, Peter managed to summon the Trapster, Hydro Man and Scorpion to invade Raft and break him out of the prison as Doctor Octopus in a desperate attempt so that he could face off and stop his arch-nemesis Octavious in Spider-Man’s body. After breaking out of the prison, Peter led the trio who believed him to be Doctor Octopus to The Avengers tower where all of Parker’s relatives are moved. Now on the Dark Reign period, he took the place of Spider-Man in Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers as Sinister Spider-Man. Though Osborn has a positive image of him and his team to maintain, Gargan goes out to play hero when he met another second string villain General Wolfram robbing a bank. He stops Wolfram with almost no effort at all, to impress by standing girls to take out and steals the money of loot from Wolfram after chewing his hand off for no apparent good reason.

He then goes to a stripper club to spend the loot, where he found a stripper to fall for named Cherri and then calling her Candy, Gargan took her with him to the Avengers Tower. But upon having a conversation about his reckless behavior with Osborn, he kills the stripper later and set her body to the apartment of J. Meanwhile, a group called “The Redeemers” visits Wolfram to join them along with The Redeemer, Hippo, Doctor Everything, Dementoid and Eleven; villains who formerly lost limbs to the Sinister Spider-Man and wants revenge on him.
