Avengers – War of the Realms | Comics

War of the Realms has broken out and Washington, D.C. has sent their best to protect nation's capital instead of The Avengers.

After a recent reformation, The Avengers were busy dealing with Russian super-hero team Winter Guard as well as Namor and his Defenders of the Deep. Meanwhile, U.S. government has assigned a newly revived Agent Phil Coulson, who has re-assembled Squadron Supreme of America as a response team to Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Now that Frost Giants are rampaging through cities, members of all-new Squadron Supreme are called in to fight them off. Doctor Spectrum, Hyperion, Nighthawk, Power Princess and The Blur drove them outside of U.S. border, over to Canada. Coulson then instructs them to visit Ohio while having a celebration with Mephisto, Lord of Darkness.

When forces of Malekith, King of Dark Elves invade New York; all of its residents are teleported to Avengers Mountain by Doctor Strange. Gorilla-Man is called in by Black Panther to HQ from a secret meeting he was having with Ursa Major. He is tasked to take care of security system as their global network got hacked by Roxxon Energy Corporation.

Though he is attacked by a small group of Elves, he managed to tackle them and fixed power for The Avengers to fight back. Ka-Zar came to his rescue and he revealed of having a vision of Roxxon base being set in Antarctica. Agent Ken Hale apparently betrays his teammates by pledging his allegiance to Dracula and his Legion of the Unliving.

Ever since Avengers have fought The Final Host and She-Hulk was powered up by Celestials, her alter ego Jennifer Walters is having a tough time getting a grip over all that raw power and so, she tries meditating. However, Captain Marvel suggests her to unleash that fury as much as she can to help tackling a global invasion led by Malekith's army.

She goes to Australia, which has been taken over by trolls and let loose her green rage on them before facing off King Ulik. She beat him down so ruthlessly that has even Deadpool gets concerned about her unchecked temper. She then showed up in Antarctica to help Blade and his teammates in fighting B.E.R.S.E.R.K.E.R. Squad super-soldiers.

Daredevil is keeping watch on everything across ten realms since he has now become an all-seeing "God Without Fear" after being bestowed with cosmic powers of Asgardian god Heimdall and he warns Jen Walters of a coming war on them where she will be needed to explode with all her gamma rage after Malekith is defeated.

As she was talking with Matt Murdock, two more Frost Giants showed up threatening them and she knocks them out. Already struggling with unstable nature of her growing power, She-Hulk is unable to interpret his cryptic message. Malekith and his armies are eventually defeated at long last, granting Earth's Mightiest Heroes a sigh of relief.

As all heroes were taking a little time off to celebrate their latest victory at Avengers Mountain, King T'Challa goes to Pentagon to investigate the true motives of Phil Coulson. Black Panther enters at Sublevel 9 only to be surrounded by Nick Fury LMDs that he made quick work of and asks Agent Coulson about his Squadron Supreme of America.

Hyperion and his team showed up abruptly as they talk, stating their clear stand against anti-American Avengers. T'Challa also expresses his disbelief on their authenticity and newfound powers before teleporting away. Blade, along with Boy-Thing takes it upon himself to find out where Russians have kept Dracula and his followers hidden.

Avengers – World Tour | Comics

A new Avengers team is officially formed only to fight against a vengeful Namor and his Defenders of the Deep?

A simple reunion of Captain America, Iron Man and Thor after a long time has turned into a reformation of The Avengers when Asgardian God of Mischief, Loki led an invasion of Dark Celestials on Earth, leading Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider and She-Hulk to band together in an attempt to save the world.

Upon taking down the Final Host of Dark Celestials, they were given a new headquarters within corpse of Alpha Celestial Progenitor by First Celestial Host. Robbie Reyes gets acquainted with Steve Rogers while Strange was scanning Jen Walters to know more about her recent changes and Odinson was having a hard time finding washroom.

Meanwhile, members of Atlantean army invade a Roxxon Energy Corporation whaling ship only to be shot down immediately and then hung their bodies like trophies. This evidently didn't sit very well with Namor the Sub-Mariner, who came retaliating in full rage shortly afterwards and took them with him back in Atlantis to execute then.

During a personal skirmish between Stingray and Tiger Shark that took them to undersea realm, he approached them to either join him or leave forever. Then an attempt from the former to talk it out caused Namor to lose his cool to savagely beat him down before ordering his sea minions to eat him alive, causing Shark to join his cause.

Tony Stark invites Col. Carol Danvers to join their newly assembled team that has just voted King T'Challa as its new chairperson. In their first meeting, a call to emergency has taken The Avengers to mid-Atlantic ridge where they fight Atlantean army before meeting and try to convince King Namor to give his prisoners back to them.

He assembled a group called Defenders of the Deep with former criminals and psychopaths to inflict his rage on surface dwellers. They attack peaceful researchers of Hydropolis at south pacific and are faced by The Avengers once again. A battle suddenly escalates among them trying to save civilians and it only gets worse from there.

Soon, a newly reformed Winter Guard arrives to take charge of current situation with Namor and his Defenders. An unlikely alliance was formed between two teams to fight against forces of Atlantis but then got dwindled for silly reasons like ego of two Russian gods, which allowed Namor to retreat the scene with his accomplices.

As things were about to get heated up between Avengers and Winter Guard for letting Defenders of the Deep getaway, Red Widow calls for a withdrawal and led her comrades back to Moscow on order of their superiors. This leaves Earth's mightiest heroes to assemble and help damage control of abandoned research base.

Earlier, Cap had a brief meeting with General Thunderbolt Ross where he made it clear that he and his team don't work for any country. Unwilling to get into political argument, Steve leaves and Ross called in someone known as The Agent. It is revealed to be Agent Phil Coulson, who came along with Squadron Supreme of America.

Elsewhere on far reaches of space, Loki was about to be judged by a group of Celestials when he encounters an alternate reality Wolverine there. Claiming to know what the trickster god was up to and revealing his bonding with Phoenix Force, Logan saves him from his captors and set him free to play his part in upcoming near future.

Also, a flashback to past peeks into origin of first Ghost Rider from prehistoric era when he came to become a spirit of vengeance riding a flaming mammoth and fought a dreaded nemesis before eventually joining Avengers of 1,000,000 BC.

Robbie Reyes is home with his brother Gabe and hasn't been feeling good lately as he is still trying to figure out his Ghost Rider persona. After her last encounter with The Leader, Jennifer Walters is trying her best not to turn into She-Hulk again when a pervert kept annoying her when she was walking alone on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

A huge warp-hole appears near the low-orbit space station of Alpha Flight and Captain Marvel sees a Celestial hand coming out that causes her to sound every global alarm. Steve, Thor and Tony head towards the site and see something huge fall off the sky.

A journey to the center of the Earth takes Black Panther and Doctor Strange to a place full of egg-like object lying dormant. Meanwhile, Robbie was recalling his encounter with Starbrand when suddenly; he sees a swarm of bug-like creatures coming out of ground and turns into Ghost Rider. Strange and T'Challa faces the same horde at the same time.

What came out of the warp-hole and dropped into Hudson River is a fallen Celestial and The Avengers sees Col. Carol Danvers standing beside it. Tony asks her if she had killed it but she says it was already dead when it came and there are at least hundreds more coming. Cap shouts their iconic battle-cry seeing another group of Celestials coming.

Captain America, Iron Man and Thor charges at this group of The Final Host with everything they have. Jen Walters finds herself near the dead Space God but is immediately attacked by a swarm that caused her to turn into She-Hulk and squish the bugs. She and Robbie Reyes bumped into each other and invoke a fight before getting busy with the bugs.

Captain Marvel plans to hurl The Final Host into sun using her omega-level warp grenades and Cap even pulls off a desperate stunt to eradicate this threat but them all are suddenly restrained by the God of Mischief, Loki. He has allied himself with the dark Celestials and after kidnapping Cap, he left The Avengers dealing with the locust horde.

Avengers – The Final Host

To begin with a freah-start, Marvel Comics hired comic-book writer Jason Aaron (Original Sin, Thanos Rising) in 2018 to set a grand plot which will expand to the past, present and future of The Avengers, which takes place on the eighth ongoing volume of the series from issues #01-06. The arc goes back and forth to connect lose knots to bigger secrets.

He was assisted by artists Ed McGuinness (Avengers – X-Sanction, Superman – Emperor Joker), Paco Medina (New X-Men – Mercury Falling, New X-Men – Nimrod) and Sara Pichelli (Spider-Men, Spider-Men II). Also, David Marquez (Defenders – Kingpins of New York, Defenders – Diamonds Are Forever) worked on a few variants.

Still After Avengers

Although the Dark Celestials were never a Thanos-level threat to begin with, the heroes were still challenged like never before and the next arc promises to be more action-packed. Odin and his Stone Age Avengers have much starting secrets for the heroes to know. Despite The Eternals all perishing during the story, Marvel will probably revive them in future.

Tony slipping into coma after fighting with Carol Danvers during Civil War II, Cap turning into an agent of Hydra from Secret Empire and events of The Unworthy Thor were all referenced as a callback to all three of them to come together once again. "Jen Walters Must Die" storyline from She-Hulk monthly series hinted to her issues as well.

Civil War II | Comics

Because of Black Bolt detonating a Terrigen Bomb during the time Thanos came to invade New Attilan looking for his son (Infinity), a new generation of Inhumans called NuHumans is introduced to the world. Among them was Ulysses Cain, a NuHuman with near-accurate precognitive abilities, who prophesied of an upcoming dystopian future. This came in handy when The Avengers successfully stopped an invasion of a Celestial Destructor in Earth, with help from A-Force, Inhumans, The Ultimates and X-Men.

Doctor Strange and the combined effort of the magic wielders were able to send the Celestial back to its own dimension. As the heroes learned about Ulysses at the celebratory party of their victory, Captain Marvel wanted to recruit him to The Ultimates, whereas Iron Man argues over the logic of trying to stop something before it even takes place. However, in an attempt to apprehend Thanos according to Ulysses' visions, Carol Danvers and her team ambushed The Mad Titan, resulting in the death of War Machine and She-Hulk ended up in coma.

An infuriated Tony Stark then kidnaps Ulysses from New Attilan to further study the true nature of his powers, leading Tony into conflict with Medusa, Crystal and Karnak of The Inhumans. When Black Panther deduced that Karnak is about to destroy the Stark Tower in retaliation, the combined force of The Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Ultimates rushed to the spot to stop him. As Tony runs tests on him, Ulysses projected another vision regarding The Hulk, as he will go into a rampage and kill The Avengers.

Carol approaches a de-powered Bruce Banner in his secret base to come out and cooperate but Hawkeye shoots him dead with an arrow after Beast confirms of Banner is experimenting to regain his powers. Tony show to Captain America, Captain Marvel and Medusa that Ulysses' visions are actually probabilities of possible future, not absolute truth and he revealed it to the world. Carol still refuses to stop using Ulysses' visions to stop possible world-ending threats.

However, things got a bit escalated when she arrested a citizen named Alison Green, believed to be an agent of Hydra based on a prediction Ulysses made but was unable to prove her of any guilt. When Tony got her out of custody, Carol attempts to arrest Tony Stark and he brought over the team of All-New X-Men and The Avengers to confront her. Then Alpha Flight and Guardians of the Galaxy joins Carol against Tony and then Ulysses has a vision of Miles Morales killing Steve Rogers.
