Darth Vader goes looking for his ship to reclaim it from a group of pirates that was prepared for him by The Emperor and was stolen earlier. He visits the Jedi outpost on Brighthome for some information which is guarded by clone troopers and he killed them all instead of providing them security codes to pass. He looked for any Jedi who have taken the Barash vow before the Order 66 and found it in Jedi Master Kirak Infil'a who is residing on the river moon of Al'doleem.

Master Infil'a sensed the Dark Lord of Sith coming for him and as soon as Vader sees him, he tries to Force choke Infil'a, who threw him off balance by hitting him with a Force blast. The Jedi invited the Dark Lord on top of the mountain before unleashing the current of a river on him. Cutting through a way with the Force, Vader conquered all obstacles thrown at him and finally confronted the Jedi Master in a brief battle to be defeated and gets thrown from the top of the mountain.

Vader reassembles his cybernetic body with scrap parts using the Force to face Master Infil'a in a final battle. Thinking the Sith Lord has died, Infil'a was preparing to go on a hunt for Vader's master but then he realized that his enemy has survived. Now, Vader challenges the Jedi Master once again and fought him with ruthless efficiency. Once he is done, he still has to bleed the kyber crystal to complete his weapon for a few more tasks left to complete by his master.

Star Wars – Darth Vader – Imperial Machine

The second monthly ongoing volume of Darth Vader starts publishing from Marvel Comics in 2017 and the first story arc of the series is titled "Imperial Machine". The story contains issues #01-06 from the Star Wars spin-off series and is set almost immediately after the events of "Revenge of the Sith". Renowned writer Charles Soule (Death of Wolverine – The Logan Legacy, Death of Wolverine – The Weapon X Program) was tasked to form the plot and he was aided by artist Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man) to portray his visions.

The Lost Jedi Master

"Imperial Machine" features a self-exiled Jedi Master named Kirak Infil'a and he is the first Jedi that Vader has fought right after his body was encased in a cybernetic suit. Also, the story explores an interesting theme of the colors of the lightsaber that the Jedi or the Sith wields. When Vader was trying to corrupt the kyber crystal of the lightsaber he took from Infil'a, it showed him a different reality of what could've actually happened but the Dark Lord of Sith refuses the idea and sticked to his path.

Titans – The Lazarus Contract

"Titans – The Lazarus Contract" targets to be one of the most prominent crossover involving Deathstroke, Teen Titans and Titans, from DC Comics in post-DC Rebirth era of 2017. This five-part story-arc is plotted by writer Benjamin Percy (Green Arrow – Island of Scars, Green Arrow – The Death and Life of Oliver Queen), Christopher Priest and Dan Abnett (Annihilation – Conquest, Annihilation – Nova), who were assisted by artists Brett Booth (Fantastic Four, X-Men), Carlo Pagulayan (Elektra, Emma Frost), Phil Hester (Green Arrow, Nightwing), Larry Hama (Venom – Along Came A Spider, Venom – Carnage Unleashed) and Paul Pelletier (Fall of the Hulks, War of Kings).

Deadliest and Fastest

"The Lazarus Contract" is mainly a huge nod to the 1984 storyline "New Teen Titans – The Judas Contract" by Marv Wolfman (Convergence – New Teen Titans, Crisis on Infinite Earths) and George Pérez (Infinity Gauntlet, Inhumans), which is adapted into a direct-to-video animated superhero movie of the same name in 2017. The original story was about Deathstroke's debut on the pages of New Teen Titans monthly ongoing series and finishing an unfulfilled contract of his son Grant Wilson with H.I.V.E. Here, the conflict with the Titans also involved the father-son duo on the timeline of Prime Earth.

Batman & The Flash – The Button | Comics

In Arkham Asylum, inmates were watching a hockey game between the Gotham Blades and the Metropolis Mammoths, when suddenly at one point a woman among them starts shouting with the claim that one of them is about to die and even Superman will not be able to save him. She kept screaming about the death of her friends and a Legion as she is being taken away. In Batcave, Batman was also observing the match while studying the Comedian's Button on his hand.

Ever since "The Return of Wally West", Batman and The Flash are trying to uncover the origin of the Button with no luck. He tossed it on his desk and it drops near Psycho-Pirate's Medusa Mask, creating a small spark. Then it creates a bolt and Bruce Wayne sees Thomas Wayne of the Flashpoint timeline for a moment like a shadow but quickly faded away as Bruce tries to reach him. He informs Flash with this development, who was busy fighting the Samuroids and says he will meet The Bat in a minute.

Before the minute passed, Bruce hears a thunder and thinking its Barry, he turns around only to be punched out by the Reverse-Flash. Eobard Thawne has been dead for some time but somehow, by a mysterious force. For the next 50 seconds, Batman desperately tries to tackle and delay Reverse-Flash till Flash's arrival to no avail. As he gets his ass handed to him, Batman still fights back and slows him down for a while. Eobard discovers the letter that Thomas wrote to Bruce and then tears it to pieces to taunt him.

Batman warns him to leave his cave before halting him for a while till the minute passes and then is beaten. Seeing the Comedian's Button, Thawne picks it up and is teleported away with a flash of light. He came back only mere moments after with his flesh burned and bones out, shouting that he has seen "GOD". The Flash arrived just late enough to save Batman from the beating and miss the demise of Reverse-Flash.

Johnny Thunder was calling out for Thunder-Bolt and was ranting that how he was responsible for the fall of Justice Society before being taken back at his elderly home by the orderlies. Meanwhile, Barry set up the Batcave as a crime scene after Batman's fight with Thawne. He realizes that what Thawne started years earlier with killing his mother has come to an end with his death even though justice wasn't served.

Upon examining Thawne's remains, Barry realizes that they both have same Speed Force signature, whereas it should be different. Since all the cameras of the cave were destroyed, he decides to talk to Bruce. When Bruce tells him about seeing Thomas Wayne from the Flashpoint world, Barry blames himself for all these mishaps but Batman then points out Thawne seeing a "GOD" means, there was already someone messing around with the time and reality.

Not willing to endanger the life of his friends, The Flash decides to fire up his Cosmic Treadmill to go back in time to see who really killed Eobard Thawne. At the last moment, Batman shows up and tags along against Barry's wishes. The two eventually travels back to the timeline where Thomas Wayne became The Dark Knight!
