Suicide Squad – Going Sane | Comics
Despite President Obama's constant warnings, Amanda Waller re-assembles her notorious Task Force X project, putting a reluctant Colonel Rick Flag in charge. Flag led the team of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Enchantress, Harley Quinn, Katana and Killer Croc to an undersea prison in Russia to acquire a powerful 'Cosmic Item' that turned out to be an Orb called 'The Black Vault' and they encounters the notorious Kryptonian despot; General Zod while doing so. Though Zod is more than capable of holding his own against the Man of Steel, the Suicide Squad actually proved to be overwhelming for him when they faced him as a team and even managed to capture him after having some causalities. The entire Squad is then teleported to Belle Reve Penitentiary.

In accordance to Superman Protocols, Waller's scientists started experimenting on Zod by exposing him to artificial red sunlight. Soon as she revealed her plan to use Zod as a Suicide Squad member, Rick shot at her. Thanks to Katana, Waller is saved. It appears that, upon pulling out Zod from the Orb, from super-villains to guards, everyone in Belle Reve has got into some sort of bloodlust and trying to kill each other. Amidst all these chaos, the nutjob extraordinaire Harley Quinn somehow lost her insanity and became sane again. Worst of them all, General Zod is about to go out on a killing spree as power goes down. As the whole facility goes into frenzy, now Harley is the only one left to save the world, while Deadshot, El Diablo, Katana and Killer Croc is after her life.

The Looney Squad

As DC Rebirth has already caught up with the DC Universe, Suicide Squad has returned with the second storyline 'Going Sane'. The plotline is comprised of issues #05-08 of the fifth ongoing Suicide Squad monthly series. Though writer Rob Williams (Martian Manhunter – The Epiphany, Unfollow) mainly collaborated with one of DC's finest artist Jim Lee (Batman – Hush, Divine Right) on the core-story, artists Carlos D'Anda (JLA – Kid Amazo, Outsiders – Wanted), Christian Ward (Iron Man, New Avengers), Giuseppe Camuncoli (Amazing Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man), Sean Galloway and Stephen Byrne worked on the back-up stories of each issues. Instead of fighting on a secret mission or a band of super-terrorist organization, Task Force X just hassles with their latest capture of a long-time Superman arch-nemesis and the plot then simply leads to 2017's major crossover event 'Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad'.

Champions – Change The World | Comics
In New Jersey, at Khan Family residence, Kamala Khan was having breakfast with her family and was thinking about the events that took place three days ago while her father Yusuf Khan asks her why is she not out much lately. She recalls her mission with The Avengers, when she was busy balancing a derailed train as Giant Girl in the middle of a fight against Wrecking Crew. As her teammates wrapped things up, she asks them about their agenda on battle damage nearby and Vision agrees to her. Her argument on the topic with Captain America/Sam Wilson has proved his points invalid to her as Ms. Marvel leaves the team while Thor/Jane Foster shockingly watched an Avenger quit. Being bored sitting in home, she called Miles Morales and Sam Alexander to meet her.

At George Washington Bridge, when Spider-Man and Nova showed up, Ms. Marvel explains to them that they should be forming a team who actually cares and can make a difference. Miles suggests enlisting Amadeus Cho AKA Totally Awesome Hulk to their team and Cho vouched for his gaming partner Viv Vision to be their own trouble-alert. To demonstrate her ability of filtering urgent problems from net, Viv picked up a footage of captive girls in a cargo seeking help. They all rushed to the source of that video to confront a demented clown called Pagliacci with his crews and foiled his attempt of human trafficking successfully, thus announcing themselves The Champions. But there is one more member to add to their ranks; a time displaced X-Men leader Cyclops.
