Amazing Spider-Man – Red Goblin | Comics

One of Spider-Man's greatest enemies meets with another to form an unholy bond and get back at him by threatening everyone close to him.

Due to previous unfortunate events, Peter Parker had to ruin Parker Industries and everything it was built on in order to prevent Doctor Octopus or Hydra from misusing any of it. Currently, he is crashing at the couch of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Bobbi Morse AKA Mockingbird when he is not fighting crime.

Aside from that, his adventure as Spider-Man continues and he managed to get a job as Daily Bugle's science section editor. By this time, two mercenaries breach at underwater containment facility called Lock Box to secure a package and releases an artifact known as Zodiac Key.

A year ago, on the same day, Spidey had thrown out the villainous Scorpio into Zodiac Dimension for a year after he gained a year worth of prior knowledge of future. On the same day, Lock Box is breached and he got out while gaining the key as well.

He is eventually taken down and he warns before going to prison that something is coming for the Wall-Crawler, which he brushes off. Elsewhere, those mercenaries arrive to their employer with the package, which turned out to be the Carnage symbiote and the boss being Norman Osborn.

Then he would be called upon to by the current Sorcerer Supreme, Loki in absence of Doctor Strange. Years ago, he owed Spidey a favor and he just wanted to return it now but after a brief adventure together, the latter used it in most unexpected way Laufeyson could ever think of.

Meanwhile, Osborn unleashed the symbiote after repeatedly failing to restore his madness by mystical, psychological or surgical ways. It tries to take over but he offered to teach it becoming more sadistic starting with killing two of his own henchmen.

Carnage is intrigued by Osborn's method of torturing and wanted more but Norman agrees to that for being in full control. Not only does it repair his facial appearance, the symbiote ejected all nanites from his body that was stopping him from becoming Green Goblin.

Alchemax C.E.O. Liz Allan asks Flash Thompson to be present as Agent Anti-Venom during one of their upcoming presentation. There, Phil Urich showed up as Goblin King with his minions, which results in a fight and Peter ended up hitting the jackpot with Mary Jane Watson after the fight.

Peter and Mary Jane were at her apartment passionately making out and reminiscing about their past times together but then remember about their reason for splitting up seeing his costume underneath. Liz asks Flash again to try and retrieve the exploding metal tritium from Goblin King.

In one of his abandoned his gentleman's club, Osborn was talking to someone about Spider-Man whom he abducted and had blindfolded. Hearing some noise downstairs, he goes to check and confronts Phil, who he kills by ripping his heart out when Goblin King attacked him with a flame sword.

Norman came back monologuing to his prisoner explaining how he is going to deal with the Wall-Crawler but his hostage pointed out how Green Goblin has failed over and over in past only to fail each time and accidentally spills a hint.

With that, he managed to deduce the secret identity of the hero and his captive is revealed to be none other than J. Jonah Jameson. He then raids into Daily Bugle looking for the Web-Head and these two gets into a fight. GG threatened everyone with tritium explosives and Spidey managed to contain the blast.

Osborn got impaled on a girder and faking his dying state, he calls Parker near to thank him. Then he turned into a goblin/symbiote hybrid called Red Goblin. With his newfound power, Carnage/Goblin proves to overwhelming for Spider-Man alone.

He offers to leave him alone if he gives up being hero or kill each and everyone he loves. Even with help from his friends Anti-Venom, Clash, Human Torch, Miles Morales and Silk, Pete didn't stand a chance.

Amazing Spider-Man – Red Goblin

Despite Spider-Man having an impressive Rogue's Gallery, his villains can get a bit repetitive over times. In 2018, Marvel Comics hired writer Christos Gage (Civil War – House of M, House of M – Avengers) and Dan Slott (She-Hulk, Silver Surfer) to solve that problem in "Red Goblin" storyline.

Artists Jim Cheung (Avengers – The Children's Crusade, New Avengers – Illuminati), Giuseppe Camuncoli (Darth Vader – Imperial Machine, Darth Vader – Legacy's End) and Stuart Immonen (Fear Itself, Inferno) delivered illustrations for issues # 794-801 of Amazing Spider-Man monthly ongoing series.

Go Down Swinging

Green Goblin has been a terrible menace who terrorized Peter Parker on personal level and in his super-heroism. Carnage is another psychopath who is nearly as ruthless but a lot more chaotic. When two of these terrible personas merges and creates a new one, it surely is a live horror show. With a slow build-up, the plot eventually delivers more twists and turns than readers have probably bargained for.

Throughout the arc, references of the events from One More Day, Secret Empire and The Clone Conspiracy were made. Apparently, it took place between "Hunt For Wolverine" and "Return of Wolverine" crossover events and Wolverine even showed up in a cameo in the first issue of the story.

Avengers – No Surrender | Comics

Earth's Mightiest Heroes are about to witness an end because of a cosmic game of two Elders of the Universe.

Miguel Santos was playing poker with a bunch of car stealers until his cover is blown and he revealed himself as Lightning before arresting them. Suddenly, a strange red light shines over Earth and reports of natural catastrophes started coming from all over the globe.

Beast updates everyone about the situation, Avengers' member Falcon became busy saving people on street, Doctor Strange and Miles Morales feels the anomaly, Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel watches it coming and Vision tries to call to Alpha Flight with no avail.

Hank McCoy notices all the satellites are gone and points out that the planet is moved as T'Challa contacts world leaders. Back in New York, Hercules and The Mighty Thor has joined Sam Wilson to help. Jarvis and Nadia Van Dyne also caught up into this mess but the former is severely injured saving a boy.

Synapse and Doctor Voodoo of Avengers Unity Squad goes to crowd-control in San Diego while Human Torch, Rogue, Scarlet Witch and Wasp try to deal with a massive tidal wave. Meanwhile in space, Captain Marvel shockingly stares into the void where Earth and Moon once used to be.

Hawkeye and Red Wolf were at New Mexico, U.S.Avengers tackles a volcano eruption at Mount Vesuvius. Squirrel Girl sees a shooting star-like object that crashing onto Colosseum of Rome, to turn into a black pyramid.

Captain America is frozen in his position when he was observing the situation at Washington, D.C., as well as Black Panther, The Champions, Spider-Man, Vision, Wasp and X-Men. All active and reserve members of Avengers are called to assemble. When they all arrive at Avengers Mansion, they are greeted by a woman named Voyager, who claims to be a founding member of Avengers.

Surprisingly, almost every member of the team recalls her being there from the very beginning. When asked whether or not she want to lead, she pointed out to Citizen V, Falcon and Rogue as more suitable leaders.

In Egypt, deceased members of ThanosBlack Order and new Lethal Legion arrive out of nowhere and try to kill each other but voices from sky tells them to follow rules and not to engage until they find certain Pyramoids. In the mean time, Cull Obsidian showed up at Avengers Mansion and blew it up.

Although Quicksilver sensed it only moments before happening, even his powers weren't enough to save all but thankfully, Voyager managed to teleport everyone to safety. Apparently, En Dwi Gast or better known as Grandmaster was behind these chaos and he planned it with a fellow Elder of the Universe in his Cosmic Game Room.

Eons ago, En Dwi had tricked him into losing his mantle and banished from existence to become the Grandmaster but now he has returned as Challenger to reclaim his title.

Rogue assembles a team of heavy hitters like Cannonball, Hercules, Lightning and Thor on news of catastrophes over Rome with help from Voyager, leaving an enraged Pietro behind. She returns to teleport Sam's team to Peru, while Jericho and Wanda remained reserved to check on the ones in stasis.

Instead of listening what his sister had to say, Pietro rushed to help Rogue's team and Wanda was trying to break the stasis of Vision. She actually succeeds but doing so had also frozen her brother in battlefield in a crucial time.

Both Black Order and Lethal Legion were fighting into two separate teams, which the Avengers have run into. In the middle of these, Black Dwarf managed to secure a Pyramoid with help from Black Swan and vanished screaming.

Seeing that, everyone thought Dwarf have been disintegrated and Santos decided to rush to their friends to warn them about touching it but like always, Johnny Storm couldn't stay out of trouble and touched it. Another one those were grabbed by Red Wolf in an attempt to find Johnny.

After this new development Grandmaster and Challenger advances towards their next move and the latter reveals he has an ace in the hole in reserve. If you are wondering who that may be, wait until a certain thought--dead Green Goliath returns to smash all Avengers!

When the last Pyramoid is placed inside a hospital where Edwin Jarvis was being treated, Voyager reached to take it and he then reveals her true nature. In a final showdown, Enigma, Lightning, Red Hulk, Wonder Man and Vision will fall before a force of pure rage.

After the fall of "Secret Empire" crossover event, Marvel Comics hired comic-book writers Al Ewing (U.S.Avengers – American Intelligence Mechanics, U.S.Avengers – Cannonball Run), Jim Zub and Mark Waid (Age of Apocalypse, Avengers Vs. X-Men) to come up with a long-running storyline that brings together the team of Avengers, Occupy Avengers, Uncanny Avengers and U.S.Avengers fighting for one cause.

This arc ran through Avengers monthly ongoing series collecting issues #675-690, illustrated by Joe Bennett (Rann-Thanagar War, Teen Titans), Kim Jacinto, Paco Medina (New X-Men – Mercury Falling, New X-Men – Nimrod) and Pepe Larraz (Uncanny Avengers – Red Skull, Uncanny Avengers – The Man Who Fell To Earth).

Artist Mark Brooks (Cable & Deadpool – If Looks Could Kill, Star Wars – Han Solo) provided cover arts for the books included in the story. Following the destruction and restoration of Multiverse at the hands of Mister Fantastic during Secret Wars, the former Grandmaster gets a chance to enter this reality and started a rematch.

What En Dwi started years earlier as Contest of Champions with earthbound superheroes and villains has come to a new route and the stakes are higher than ever now. Return of many fan-favorite heroes into the fray really made the entire plot exciting and interesting. The epilogue also teases of the upcoming story arc, which is also cosmic-themed and titled "The Final Host".

Uncanny Avengers – The Man Who Fell to Earth | Comics

With completely unexpected help from time-travelling mutant superhero Cable, Avengers Unity Division successfully prevented a "Lost Future" from happening. Afterwards, Commander Steve Rogers led his team into the fiasco of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Pleasant Hill project created by Kobik, a sentient Cosmic Cube taking form of a young girl. Information about this was leaked on web and Maria Hill claimed it destroyed. However, Rogers found this not to be true and his team is called for helping in a manhunt.

Cable, Deadpool, Doctor Voodoo, Rogue and Synapse chased down super-villain Wrecker of the Wrecking Crew, who was trying to make a break for it from Pleasant Hill along with Maria Hill. So, now they all fight back S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives who came to take them in and then another Maria Hill arrives in a Quinjet starts shooting at them. Reality around them starts bending and next day they all wake up as different persons living in Pleasant Hill, Connecticut. Rogue is the first one among them to sense it and wake up rest of her team to get out of this reality-warping super-villain prison.

After causing genocide to millions of souls among the stars, long-lost team member of The Avengers; Hank Pym finally returns to Earth. Rogue was the one who stumbled onto him first while she was headed towards saving Soyuz Capsule from crushing. Hank's body was merged with Ultron during their previous battle and was lost to all. Hank believed that he was forgotten but he was actually thought dead by his friends because of what happened to him. Rogers was busy taking down some extremists in wildlife reserve of La Reserva with Deadpool and she took Hank right there.

Hank Pym claims that he has finally taken complete control over his creation when rests of their teammates are gathered at Cap's location. Cable asks Pym to submit his suit for peer review but Hank reveals that there is not much organic part left and he is now a singular being with Ultron. He then flies off to Avengers Mansion and Cap tells Rogue to keep an eye on him. Cable, Deadpool, Doctor Voodoo, Human Torch, Quicksilver and Synapse were already skeptical about him from beginning though. Acting weirdly out of his character, Hank blows up his memorial claiming it's a lie since he is alive.

His ex-wife Janet van Dyne was informed about his return by Steve earlier for a second opinion on Hank. During a mission in subway, Wasp casually joined to welcome Hank back, who is overjoyed to see her and she called him away to have a talk with him. When he walks into the theater, Cable starts pushing Hank with some facts that finally made Ultron reveal his true nature. A blast takes down their entire headquarter along with Cable and Human Torch in it. Janet took him down with an EMP burst to slow him down for a moment when Vision enters the scene to confront his father.
