 | Comics
In Africa, a pack of military people working for a mysterious local warlord are looking for mutants to try and taking them as their slaves. But since the event of M-Day, mutant population has been drastically decreased to a very minimal level worldwide. Their scanner shows them the sign of a mutant right behind them and they met the weather manipulating X-Man Ororo, also known as Storm as they turn. In her homeland, the goddess kicked out the soldiers while two full grown up pet tigers that came with her, engages the rest of the militants. She gave that soldier a pretty hard time and then drops him on the ground after quite a spin in the atmosphere, which they pretty much deserved.

X-Men member Psylocke had previously died in a battle and recently she have re-appeared again in the X-Mansion. Psylocke's brother, Jamie Braddock appears in the mansion and he seems a bit insane of some sort this time. Nightcrawler and Marvel Girl kicked him on his chin to knock out but then he created a small illusion that caused them fighting each other, each thinking the other as Jamie. Psylocke and Cannonball joins the brawl but soon they also starts having the same illusion as Rachel and Kurt. Bishop caused some distraction that allows Psylocke to beat up her brother but Jamie killed all the X-Men by unleashing The Fury. Soon, he restores them back to life and informs that he is here to help them save the universe from The Foursaken and the event is of so much importance that Uatu the Watcher has also arrived.

It seems that she is still having deep remorse over causing The Avengers team to scatter before she was forced into a deep sleep by Xavier, who expresses doubts on how long she can be contained to her father Magneto. The Avengers and other heroes have gathered to decide her fate and the majority have decided to eliminate her. Though, the majority of the crowd decided to end her life for the sake of world, Captain America asks them to look for an alternate solution that doesn't need killing her.

Wolverine steps up to volunteer for the job as no one else has the guts to do it. Others are worried about if the words of her insanity gets out on public, the existing human-mutant relationship will set back to ages. To save his sister from execution, a desperate Quicksilver begs his father to save Wanda from the crowd but got denied. As the heroes were looking for Wanda to ask for her decision over the matter, suddenly they all started vanishing into a blinding white light.

When the light is gone, everyone else discovers them in a new world with no memory of the previous event and a reality that they all desired. Spider-Man finds himself married to Gwen Stacy and Uncle Ben is alive too. Hawkeye is still alive here and works for underworld boss Luke Cage. The X-Men or The Avengers doesn't even exist and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s in-charge Wolverine has noticed this change of reality. Mystique has two kids; Rogue and Nightcrawler and currently in an affair with Logan. On top of everything, this new world is ruled by Mutants, not humans.

Wolverine goes on an investigation to get some answers and is captured by Luke Cage. He recalls how Wanda's psychic breakdown took the life of Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Jack of Hearts and Vision, then destroyed The Avengers. The folks present there believes his theory because apparently, a mutant girl named Layla Miller can show them the reality. Rest of the heroes of this world is assembled and awakened from their illusion to confront Magneto and finally end this falsehood forever.

Houseof M – Spider-Man, Fantastic Four & X-Men

"House of M" is a follow-up crossover event that carried out the effects of "Planet X" and "Avengers Disassembled" by Marvel Comics. The main limited series published on 2005, featuring the titled story was written by Brian Michael Bendis (Age of Ultron, Civil War II), who was assisted by artist Olivier Coipel (Avengers Vs. X-Men, Siege) for its eight issue run. Bendis' work on this event would leave a mark and will cause effect to many crossovers in the upcoming years for sure.

During the course of action a similar alternate reality was created for a brief time in the manner of “The Age of Apocalypse” crossover which depicted a parallel universe. Regular monthly ongoing titles like Excalibur, New X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine, as well as several limited series like Fantastic Four – House of M, Iron-Man – House of M, Mutopia X – House of M and Spider-Man – House of M had acted as tie-ins for the event. Following the end of the event, everything was reverted back to normal as it were but the mutant population of the world is reduced to a hundred and few.

X-23 | Comics

Unlike any children, she was born as a clone in an attempt of a top-secret facility to re-create Weapon X program that gave birth to Wolverine. Doctor Sarah Kinney proposed for a female clone when the other twenty two died in the Adamantium bonding process and then act as her surrogate mother to preserve even a small fraction of humanity in her but all her efforts go in vein by the intervention of Doctor Zander Rice.

He set up Kinney to be killed by X-23 with a "trigger scent" and in her dying breath she named the clone “Laura”. She became a weapon, killed many folks, escaped The Facility and then goes to seek out Wolverine. Then Captain America and Matt Murdock comes to take her in but eventually sets her free to avoid S.H.I.E.L.D.'s exploitation of her.

She ended up on streets living as a prostitute but then welcomed by the X-Men in Xavier Institute. When New X-Men was formed, she joined the team with Elixr, Hellion, Mercury, Prodigy, Rockslide and Surge. She teamed-up with Spider-Man, became Captain Universe for a while, helped destroy cyborg Nimrod, bested her handler Kimura several times, defeated Lady Deathstrike during Messiah CompleX.

Then she enrolled to the X-Force team, fought the Hulk, made an uneasy alliance with Daken against Mr. Sinister, aided the Future Foundation and finally became a part of Avengers Academy. She also formed the “Circle of Four” with Ghost Rider, Red Hulk and Venom against Blackheart. Following the “Death of Wolverine” she took the mantle of her mentor to honor his memory.

Originally created by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost for a TV series, prior to her debut in comics in 2004, X-23 is a fictional Marvel Comics character who is a clone of another popular protagonist; Wolverine. X-23 was a part of many X-Men based crossover and stories like Innocence Lost, Target X, The Killing Dream, NYX, Decimation, Mercury Falling, World War HulkQuest for Magik, League of Losers, Messiah War and Second Coming.

Her Father's Legacy

She was one of the Wolverines just like Daken, Lady Deathstrike, Mystique and Sabretooth. Although she is a clone of Wolverine, it is shown in the 2005 limited series X-Men – Age of Apocalypse while further exploring the alternate reality of Age of Apocalypse that she is actually the daughter of Wolverine and Jean Grey of that timeline.

Aside from her many notable comic-book appearance, X-23 also appeared on two animated series X-Men – Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men on TV. The character would also appear in the upcoming 2017 film Logan in her very first live-action appearance, portrayed by Dafne Keen. But since her role is only titled “Laura” and not “X-23”, it is still unclear what part she will end up playing.
