They are neither human, nor mutants; a completely different kind with uncanny powers and abilities superior to the others, make them believe that they are the only species with the right to exist on Earth. So, they are on a mission to destroy every other life form on Earth. The Children wants to kill Sabretooth just because he knows of their existence but he managed to barely escape from them and came to the mansion of X-Men for protection from them, who were also framed for the destruction of a city of Mexico to the mass media by the Children of The Vault.

Next, The Children raids a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and after killing all the operatives present on the base within minutes, they recruits a captive Northstar and his sister Aurora after brain-washing and amplifying their power. The twin raid an attack on the X-Men all of a sudden and in the initial impact killed Iceman. They came here for one purpose and that is to kill Sabretooth. The twins were eventually subdued by the efforts of Mystique, Rogue and Cable. After interrogating Sabretooth, Cable learns of the existence of these new threats and that put the X-Men on The Children’s hit list too. As the twin has failed them in their purpose and their cover is blown, The Children of The Vault decides to engage the X-Men directly. Meanwhile, an deadly extra-terrestrial threat called The Hecatomb is accidentally unleashed upon the world by Lady Mastermind.

Elephantmen | Comics
Located in a secret location somewhere in North Africa, a top secret research facility of the MAPPO Corporation were doing genetic research on human/animal hybrids to produce the next generation's super powered mindless army of tomorrow. A delusional Japanese scientist, Dr. Kazushi Nikken were running those illegal experiments on African animal species of the likes of wild Warthogs, Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos and other species of large mamals, forcing implantation of their embryos into the wombs of local women to force them into give birth to the race of “Elephantmen” before disposing them off. These super soldiers were taught to serve MAPPO without any sort of free will of their own.

When the United Nations eventually found out about these dirty secrets that MAPPO had been keeping under cover for more than over two centuries, they sent armed forces to raid in their top secret base. The militia that has stormed MAPPO’s hidden base, fought against the mind controlled army and the ensuing battle led to many casualties from both sides. Finally, the collision came to an end with the personnel of MAPPO being arrested by the military and the Elephantmen are all allowed to establish themselves in the outside world. Hip Flask, Ebony Hide, Tusk, Casbah Joe, Obadiah Horn and others of their kind try die-hard to co-exist among the humans; with help from Vanity Case, Herman Strumm, Queen Sahara, a little girl Savannah and a young cab driver Miki.

In Africa, a pack of military people working for a mysterious local warlord are looking for mutants to try and taking them as their slaves. But since the event of M-Day, mutant population has been drastically decreased to a very minimal level worldwide. Their scanner shows them the sign of a mutant right behind them and they met the weather manipulating X-Man Ororo, also known as Storm as they turn. In her homeland, the goddess kicked out the soldiers while two full grown up pet tigers that came with her, engages the rest of the militants. She gave that soldier a pretty hard time and then drops him on the ground after quite a spin in the atmosphere, which they pretty much deserved.

X-Men member Psylocke had previously died in a battle and recently she have re-appeared again in the X-Mansion. Psylocke's brother, Jamie Braddock appears in the mansion and he seems a bit insane of some sort this time. Nightcrawler and Marvel Girl kicked him on his chin to knock out but then he created a small illusion that caused them fighting each other, each thinking the other as Jamie. Psylocke and Cannonball joins the brawl but soon they also starts having the same illusion as Rachel and Kurt. Bishop caused some distraction that allows Psylocke to beat up her brother but Jamie killed all the X-Men by unleashing The Fury. Soon, he restores them back to life and informs that he is here to help them save the universe from The Foursaken and the event is of so much importance that Uatu the Watcher has also arrived.

Ultimate War | Comics

After battling Magneto (Tomorrow People) and his deadly Sentinel fleet from Savage Land to save New York as well as The President of United States of America, Professor Charles Xavier had brainwashed him and declared him dead upon sending him far away. However, this action was not able to please the authority and did not seem convincing enough.

Actually Professor Xavier was planning to reform his old friend under his own care. This news is mistakenly leaked out by X-Men’s Beast to his virtual girlfriend over internet. While chatting with his unknown virtual girlfriend, he disclosed this piece of information, which caused the Brotherhood of Mutants to capture him as they were the ones posing as his cyber girlfriend to dig out their spiritual leader, Magneto.

Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. is approached by US government, when Magneto starts re-appearing. He blew up eight-hundred people by destroying Brooklyn Bridge in a sudden terrorist attack with a reformed Brotherhood of Mutants at his side. So, along with The Ultimates, Fury successfully tracks down X-Men’s whereabouts but found it empty.

This however led Fury to believe that the X-Men have finally joined the very cause of Brotherhood of Mutants to fight against humankind. Meanwhile, Magneto learns of a plan by Xavier, who intends to track him down. But this plan backfired when The Ultimates and X-Men members encounter each other for quest of self-styled mutant master of magnetism. It's a battle of might and pride to prove who among them are the best.
