On a technologically advanced distant planet Zenn La, there lived an intelligent youth Norrin Radd, whose people had conquered wants and need of any kinds, thus living peacefully until one day a alien spaceship entered its atmosphere to bring death and destruction, as it belonged to the cosmic entity Galactus, the devourer of planets. In a desperate moment of trying to save his home world from being obliterated, Norrin offers him to be his herald to find out new worlds for him to consume. The devourer accepted his offer and transformed him into Silver Surfer with pure cosmic energy and a board that resembles to a surfboard. Silver Surfer have formed a team called Defenders along with Doctor Strange, Hulk and The Submariner. He earned the enimity of Dracula, Mephisto, Doctor Doom and Terrax by time. Silver Surfer also tangled with Thanos; the lover of cosmic entity Death and even got killed by him once. The Surfer encountered Ego the Living Planet, Super-Skrull, Midnight Sun, Nebula and Tyrant on occasion.
