Captain America is on a mission to stop an eco-terrorist named the Green Skull, who is flying a plane that is carrying missiles that holds the extremely hazardous chemical called Omega Fertilizer. Green Skull is determined to crash the plane on the population of Manhattan, which Captain America stops by entering the plane and taking them down. Cap successfully saved the day and the plane crashes into a nearby river. After the rescue mission, Steve meets Sharon Carter in a distinct alley where they reunites and changes into civilian garb. Turning 90, Cap considers the fact that he's been a devoted soldier for far too long and maybe it's time to say yes to Sharon's marriage proposal.

Steve and Sharon goes to investigate in the subway for a hidden car that S.H.I.E.L.D. had been monitoring for some time that disappears in a flash with Cap still inside it. Inside, Steve is doused with an anesthetic shot and when he woke up he discovers himself fasten in an operating table and to his horror, he finds out that one of his worst enemy from World War II and also an evil geneticist, Arnim Zola is in front of him. Steve eventually flees from his captivity along with a baby boy that was inside a large glass tube, which was actually Zola's son. Captain America races against time to escape from Dimension Z but unfortunately stays trapped inside instead it with no hope to return to his own timeline. While trapped in the distant world of Dimension Z for more than a decade, Cap raised the kid as his own and named him "Ian".

"Captain America – Castaway in Dimension Z" is the new age of Captain America storyline that centers on a distant journey of Steve Rogers on Dimension Z. Plotted out by writer Rick Remender (Crawl Space – XXXombies, Fear Agent) and fan favorite artist John Romita Jr. (Amazing Spider-Man, World War Hulk) this one is a story that was looked up for a long time. The storyline started in 2013 in the seventh volume of the Captain America monthly ongoing series from issues #01-10 and is published by Marvel Comics. Aside from Arnim Zola and Sharon Carter, this plotline set in an alternate dimension also introduces a few more characters like Captain Zolandia, Ian and Jet Black..

To the world, Dr. Hank McCoy is better known as a member of the X-Men, going by the name Beast. Throughout his life, he has been mutated from his human form to a blue-furry bestial look and now he is experiencing another next-generation mutation that is killing him. Not knowing how much time he still has left, Hank worries about the future of the mutant-kind that is under peril now.

Storm calls him to see how the news of Cyclops, Emma Frost and Magneto going public to recruit a mutant who can control time named Eva Bell goes live. Iceman, Kitty Pryde and Storm are horrified by the actions of Cyclops and his Extinction X-Men team, who apparently wants to start some mutant revolution and how their younger self would be ashamed to see them like this.

This gives Hank an idea and in a last ditch effort to save his world, he travels 20 years back at past to bring Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel and Marvel Girl to face their counterparts and right after bringing them, he collapses. They immediately face hostility from Wolverine but eventually both teams get along to cure Hank.

On news of a riot after discovering another mutant, the five of them heads there in Blackbird to confront Scott. While Cyclops is stunned seeing his younger self and as her telepathy kicks in, Jean Grey discovers that Scott indeed has killed Professor X. At the same time, Scott starts experience his power losing control as a side-effect of being previous host to Phoenix force. In all these chaos, Jean Grey mentally links both Hanks to save the older one.

In the aftermath of the "Avengers Vs. X-Men" crossover event, the awareness that Professor Charles Xavier have mounted for mutants have greatly diminished and the credit goes to Scott Summers. Marvel Comics have brought the team of writer Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers Disassembled, Civil War II) and artist Stuart Immonen (All-New Captain America – Hydra Ascendant, Star Wars – Showdown on the Smuggler's Moon) on board to create the next-gen X-Men story.

Today's X-Men

The story will take readers back to the past to realize how the dream of co-existence started in the first place. The storyline was released on 2013 and collected issues #01-05 from the All-New X-Men monthly ongoing series, to be concluded in "Here To Stay" story arc up next.

From the very day he regained his consciousness from coma and found himself on a bed of the abandoned Harrison Memorial Hospital of Kentucky, in a Post-Apocalyptic world that is overruned by flesh-eating Zombies, former deputy sheriff, Rick Grimes fought his way up to this point where he dealt with the infidelity issue of his wife Lori and best friend Shane (Days Gone Bye), struggled with the survival of his group, took shelter in a prison (Safety Behind Bars), faced the threat of The Governor (The Best Defense), became the de facto leader of Alexandria Safe-Zone (Life Among Them) and even survived the Zombie onslaught on Alexandria (No Way Out) but never had he felt such helpless when Negan came looking for retribution for killing his men and to make a point.

Negan bashed the skull of one of Rick's own in front of his group and made them watch. Normally, Rick would have reacted to this and retaliate but till date, he is never caught this off-guard when Negan stroke back. So, he agreed to give half of their supplies as an offering to The Saviors. When they came to Alexandria to collect their first offering, Negan intimidates Rick in front of his people and Carl protests standing up to the former. As the boy took it upon himself to sneak on The Saviors and infiltrate their secret base to kill Negan, he actually impresses the tyrant and he gave the boy a tour of his establishment. Meanwhile, Rick devises his own plan with Paul "Jesus" Monroe to fight back Negan and his followers while they play along by joining the Kingdom of Ezekiel.

The Walking Dead Vol 18 – What Comes After

Following the shocking turn of events and the arrival of a new ruthless nemesis for Rick Grimes and his band of survivors in "Something To Fear", The Walking Dead monthly ongoing series is continued the order of things in "What Comes After". Series regular Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Haunt) and Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files) returns with another spectacular arc of the Zombie Apocalypse that is narrated in issues #103-108 of the ongoing title from Image Comics. The current and the previous storyline and major aspects from it has also been adapted for The Walking Dead Season 6 and Season 7 on AMC TV in 2016, while slightly altering things to suit a bit for cable TV audiences. Things will start to build-up towards a major development in "March To War", which is the next storyline in order.

In the post Avengers/X-Men war period, Captain America forms a new team with heroes from Avengers and X-Men team by recruiting Havok, Rogue, Scarlet Witch, Thor and Wolverine, to unite Mutants and humans. Sunfire, Wasp and Wonder Man soon joined the Unity Squad.

Since their formation as a team, Avengers Unity Division has faced Avalanche, the Apocalypse Twins (Ragnarok Now), Sentry as Horseman of Death, stopped the Celestial Exitar from destroying Earth, encountered Kang, fought Red Skull during the AXIS crisis and rescued Magneto. After Doctor Voodoo, Sabretooth, Sam Wilson and Vision have joined as new members; the team has been to High Evolutionary's Counter-Earth and discovers a dark secret about Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's past.

Uncanny Avengers are re-assembled again to prevent a "Lost Future" ushered by an Inhuman villain named The Shredded Man, as they recruited Deadpool, Human Torch, Spider-Man, Synapse and then Cable tagged along. When Steve Rogers learns of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Pleasant Hill project regarding a Cosmic Cube in the form of a young girl named "Kobik", they got involved (Avengers – Standoff!).

The presumably dead Henry Pym returns in Ultron's body and Wasp re-joins the team. It took all of their effort help from Iron Man to hurl Ultron into the sun. Captain America decommissioned the Unity Division throughout Civil War II due to the actions of his teammates. Later, they fell under the clutches of Red Skull, back again with the power of the deceased Professor X.
