Avengers – Next Avengers | Comics

Commander Steve Rogers assembled The Avengers once again when Kang The Conqueror has come crushing the party from the future to seek help!

In a distant future, villainous Immortus falls onto his knees before five shadowy figures and pleading how he was there at their birth and will be present to witness them dying. Once regarded as Master of Time, he is killed by a bolt of lightning.

To assemble all heroes and re-form The Avengers once again after the fall of Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers following their Siege on Asgard, Captain Steve Rogers rallies together a group of heroes to become a band of heroes the world needs right now. All except Wonder Man does not agree to his idea and thinks of it as a big mistake.

Nevertheless, Commander Steve Rogers went on to recruit his old friend Bucky Barnes and former Winter Soldier as the new Captain America, along with long-time teammate Hawkeye, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Thor and Wolverine for a brand-new team of the Earth's mightiest heroes with former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Maria Hill as its leader.

Other members joining the party includes Beast, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, Hulkling, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Justice, Kate Bishop, Luke Cage, Mockingbird, Ms. Marvel, Patriot, Speed, Stature, Tigra, Vision, War Machine, Wasp and Wiccan with some representing other superhero teams like New Avengers, X-Men and Young Avengers respectively.

Suddenly, Kang the Conqueror arrives from future to alert them of a threat but before he even finishes announcing his arrival, Odinson quickly blasts him off the tower. To make them listen to him, Kang shows them a doomsday device that Tony Stark will build in near future that is capable of mass destruction and everyone stops immediately.

Then he explains, in a future timeline, where Ultron has ruled all by destroying all heroes and establishing his own utopia, only for the children of the Avengers to rise up to its tyrannical rule and then took over his empire but without any guidance, these gifted youngsters have ushered such ruthlessness that needs to be stopped before it's too late.

Trying to stop Ultron before the children could do so with different allies and weapons, only to fail many times over; Kang came seeking help from The Avengers but knowing they probably wouldn't trust him, leaves them to find their own way to future and told them that they would know how to look into future when their team is complete.

Wolverine suggests that he know someone who can help them with unique expertise of dimensional travel. So, they all pay a visit to Noh-Varr AKA Protector who was busy tussling with Titanium Man. Tony asks him to build a time machine so that they can go to future and stop their future offspring from being oppressing jerks.

In Avengers Tower, Noh-Varr finishes making the device and it starts projecting visions of possible futures, they see Immortus being executed by their children, the Next Avengers. Before that timestream collapses, they see an elderly Hulk, who calls himself Maestro and as they prepare to travel to future, Wonder Man comes crushing.

While his old friends are in awe seeing him getting jumpy, he explains how the superhero Civil War, Secret Invasion of the Skrulls and Osborn's Dark Reign were all the result of their own reckless actions over the years, which is why they should disband themselves for the collective good of everyone before getting blasted off by Marvel Boy.

Tony asks Noh to rebuild his machine and then a future version of Apocalypse appears through timestream with his four horsemen. Chaos breaks in all of a sudden but the crowd shortly realizes that the Eternal Mutant is here because time is broken. Iron Man tries to talk to En Sabah Nur but he and his Horsemen are then pulled to elsewhere.

Maria Hill suggests Captain America, Iron Man, Marvel Boy and Wolverine head to their apocalyptic future. She then sends Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman and Thor to New York City to cross paths with Killraven and Devil Dinosaur. Followed by an invasion of Martians, even the mighty cosmic devourer Galactus makes a surprise appearance.

Avengers – Next Avengers (Hardcover)

Two of the greatest comics talent of the comic-book industry, writer Brian Michael Bendis (Age of Ultron, Avengers Disassembled) and artist John Romita Jr. (Avengers Vs. X-Men, World War Hulk) teamed up in 2010 for Marvel Comics to revamp one of the greatest superhero team in comics, The Avengers with a brand-new ongoing series.

Even though the first issue of the story rallied up a huge roster of superheroes together, a smaller group of them actually got involved into plot. Many of the assembled members from New Avengers, X-Men and Young Avengers team would not even appear to rest of the book but most probably reserved for near future appearances.

Menace From Beyond Time

"Next Avengers" takes place on the fourth monthly ongoing volume Avengers comic series, collecting issues #01-06. Bendis sets up a premise on future crisis where Kang the Conqueror is troubled with next generation of young heroes and Ultron has finally succeeded in destroying all life-forms by crushing every resistance on his maniacal way.

It eventually paved the way for a new Heroic Age in Marvel Universe and would be continued with a new arc titled "Infinity Quest" up next where the team will tackle a threat greater than what they have already dealt with in a future ruined by their children and a conflict of interest among its members regarding long-kept dark secrets.

Amelia shows Tony a ticket to the invitation for the diner that she got from the murder victim earlier and they decide to go there posing as guests. X-Force – Sex and Violence | Comics

The long-running sexual tension between Wolverine and Domino comes to a point where it invites senseless violence.

A badly beaten, bloodied and battle-worn Domino remembers being attacked by a group of assailants who broke into her place, which she barely survived and ended up on Alcatraz Island. She hits the washroom spitting two of her teeth into sink and tells Elixir to heal her wounds up but Wolverine of X-Force stopped him from doing so.

Logan came here seeking her when he sensed that she is cooking some trouble and asks her how who did this to her. Neena spills that members of the infamous Assassins Guild took her in for a score but she never really knew who she was working for. Then shit just hit the fan and they are attacked by Ninjas of The Hand out of nowhere.

As these villains were busy tearing each other apart, she finds out that they were after a cargo full of captive Japanese girls. She managed to smuggle them back to Texas and helped them to get back but now the Guild is very pissed at her and want payback.

Wolverine suddenly shoots the hinges off the door to see X-23 standing on the other side and she came here following his trails. Laura suggests that Domino is still hiding something about her encounter with Assassins Guild and the run-in with Hand. Telling her to stay out of this, he tells Elixir to heal her before getting out.

Logan decides to stick with her and though she doesn't want his help, Domino suggests he is hanging out for a hookup. A bullet hits him, causing the car to crash and she comes out to see the Guild sends its members to bring her. A quick shootout ensues where Wolvie joins to lend a hand before they take out everyone and passionately kiss.

The villainous Razor-Fist leading the Guild members comes out asking her about the money she stole from them and Logan too asks her the same question. He goes slicing and dicing them up until getting stabbed by the mercenary leader. Logan manages to break free and spare him to tell Belladonna Boudreaux to stop chasing Neena Thurman.

Domino later confessed to him that during the rescue of those girls, she found a truck full of 237 million dollar and took it, which is why the Guild is mad now. The gun wielding bombshell suggests that they spend some quality time together in a hotel and then discuss about what to do with the money. Being an animal, Logan simply complies.

Assassins Guild leader Belladonna is furious at the incompetence of Razor-Fist, so she calls in favor from Black Mamba, Boomerang, Bullet, Bushwacker, Clay and Nakh to finish the job. They are quickly located in their hotel room in San Francisco, where Bushwacker breaks in to capture Domino and kill Wolverine, only to fail miserably.

These two then head to face the Guild and Neena points out walking straight to enemy lair is kind of a suicide mission she is not very fond of but for this instant, she is trusting Weapon X. The Guild thought that he came here to exchange her life for money but he suggests that the money goes to charity and they leave Domino alone.

An infuriated Belladonna orders her legion of killer to take them down and as the former X-Men duo was already having a hard time to even defend their own; a group of Ninjas sent by The Hand comes out of shadows to apprehend them.

X-Force – Sex and Violence (Hardcover)

In 2010, Marvel Comics took writers Christopher Yost (X-23 – Innocence Lost, X-23 – Target X) and Craig Kyle (X-Force – Angels & Demons, X-Force – Old Ghosts) to work on a three part limited series focused on X-Force in collaboration with artist Gabriele Dell'Otto (Secret Wars, The Clone Conspiracy), who mostly does cover art in general.

"Sex and Violence" is the result of that creative process and features current X-Force members Archangel, Domino, Elixir, Vanisher, Warpath, Wolverine and X-23. After Cyclops has deployed a strike force version of the team following the events of "Messiah CompleX", the group has been operating as a black ops squad of mutants.

Aggression and Romance

Although there is a certain twist in the plot that might make things interesting in the end, at times it might feels like that the story was only conceived to portray a couple of hot and steamy romantic encounter between Logan and Neena. Both Assassins Guild and The Hand may seem underplayed and so is the character of Belladonna Boudreaux.

This sexiest blood-soaked adventure taken place in "Sex and Violence" ushered a new direction for the team which reflected on a new monthly ongoing series Uncanny X-Force with some new members like Deadpool, Fantomex and Psylocke on the team.

The Walking Dead Vol 13 – Too Far Gone

Creator Robert Kirkman (Image United, Invincible) and artist Charlie Adlard (Judge Dredd, The X-Files) has got to the thirteenth volume of the narrative taken from the monthly ongoing The Walking Dead series from Image Comics. This particular story mostly focused on the issues caused by humans and certainly fewer Zombies were in the path of creating some big trouble. The issue #75 of this storyline features a non-canon story that come in the form of Rick’s hallucination after he was hit on his head by Michonne. The base of the plotline is that the aliens have recruited Rick and his friends after they died and turned them into super-soldier to fight an overrun Earth full of infected populace. The reason behind this story was involving a history when Robert Kirkman lied to his publisher about The Walking Dead being Aliens versus Zombies type of story to get them print it and when it became a success for what it is, Kirkman confessed about his deception to them.
