Dead Rising – Road to Fortune | Comics
In search for the "Scoop of a Lifetime", internationally renowned freelance photographer Frank West got trapped in the Willamette Parkview Mall of Colorado, which he might not get out from alive. A town overrun by the ravaging zombies and a shady-deep conspiracy behind the incident, all Frank ever wanted was all right here but the breaking news that he wants to reveal to the world would be possible if only Frank can get out of here alive in one piece. In the middle of this maddening chaos, he jumps into the crowd of the ravaging undeads to save Isabela Keyes from being eaten alive. Eventually they both managed to get out of the outbreak safely but Isabela turns and instantly bites him in the neck.

All of it was from Frank's dream except for the part where he gets eaten by Isabela. With time, Frank spends up all his fortune on Zombrex which he needs to survive, now heavily depressed and haunted by the Willamette incident. On the other side of the story, famous motocross racer Chuck Greene was entering in a tournament race to win the prize money for his wife Pam Greene and daughter Katey Greene. A sudden zombie outbreak occurs in Coyote Springs and the U.S. Military moves in fast for clean up, where reporter Rebecca Chang showed up for scooping. Soon, Frank arrives to meet Rebecca who's source Dr. Curnow of the Phenotrans Corporation was about to reveal a vile secret behind this outbreak but died when his cover is blown to his superiors at Phenotrans, who are seem to be responsible for all these sudden outbreaks all along.

Dead Rising – Road to Fortune

Following the success of the beat 'em up survival horror video game Dead Rising (2006) and Dead Rising 2 (2010), Capcom has allied with IDW Publishing for a four-issue limited series titled, "Dead Rising - Road to Fortune" that came out in 2011. Written by Tom Waltz and drawn by artist Kenneth Loh, the comic book series served as a tie-in between the two installment of the franchise and bridges up the gaps in between. Also, several loose ends meet their long-expected conclusions and the peak into the lives of the series' protagonists, Frank West and Chuck Greene are explored in the plot with more added details.

With the artists team of Jim Cheung (Avengers – The Children's Crusade, Avengers & X-Men – Axis), Jerome Opeña and Dustin Weaver, Marvel Comics have had comic-book writer Jonathan Hickman (Secret Wars, Time Runs Out) concoct the 2013 major crossover comic event “Infinity”. Issues from many other monthly ongoing series like Avengers Assemble, Captain Marvel, Fearless Defenders, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mighty Avengers, Nova, Secret Avengers, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up and Thunderbolts also served as the tie-in issues of this cosmic Marvel adventure.

Rumor has it that even though the 2018's Marvel Cinematic Universe live-action release of Avengers: Infinity War takes the legendary "Infinity Gauntlet" arc as their primary plotline, 2013's "Infinity" crossover event will also shape the film's plot to a modern setting. Elements from the crossover such as introducing the Black Order as lackeys of Thanos in the film to do his bidding is possibly one of such. Instead of Black Order, his lackeys are referred as Children of Thanos in the film and Black Dwarf among them is named Cull Obsidian, which is actually an alias for Black Order in the comics.

Superior Spider-Man – A Troubled Mind
 | Comics
Octavious has now established himself in Peter Parker’s body after Peter had died in his old body (Dying Wish). As Superior Spider-Man, Octavious is acting in his own ways and viewpoints. As a result, he became more practical with any given situation and that makes him quite unfriendly. Currently, Spidey’s rogues gallery of villains are paying the painful price of the new-found attitude of their rival. The criminal mercenary Massacre has paid the ultimate price (My Own Worst Enemy) before and the duo of Jester and Screwball are bruised and battered by him recently for their pranks on him meant for some exclusive head-cam footage. Meanwhile, a portion of Peter Parker’s consciousness seemed yet to have remained along with Otto Octavious himself in his body.

Peter subsequently tries to stop Otto, whenever he overwhelms a villain or goes way too far. He fights to gain control over his body again and while Octavious was in sleep, he managed to slightly move his right hand. The Avengers also detected abnormalities in his behavior and threatens to kick him out of the team, leading him to a brief skirmish with Captain America. They knocked him up and ran a few tests on him that proves that he is not a Skrull or a shape-shifter. Octavious also detects these abnormalities in his mind when he tangled with Dr. Elias Wirtham AKA Cardiac and battles in his mind to decide who is worthy to be Spider-Man between him and Peter. With all the craziness going around, the Green Goblin assembles a new empire to which he is the Goblin King!

Superior Spider-Man – A Troubled Mind

A new change has come to the entire Marvel Universe after the “Dying Wish” storyline from the Amazing Spider-Man monthly comic series back in 2012 that has launched the Superior Spider-Man as a new monthly ongoing title in the place of the former one. Writer Dan Slott (Mighty Avengers, She-Hulk) along with artist Humberto Ramos (Crimson, Revelations) and Ryan Stegman (Scarlet Spider, Wolverine) has cooked up this storyline pretty good which ran from issue #06-10 of the Superior Spider-Man series in 2013. The timeline then continues with the “No Escape” tale from the same series and eventually leads to the “Goblin Nation” crossover event.
