Wonder Woman – War-Torn | Comics
As she dealt with the menace of First Born, Diana has allowed her Amazonian "brothers" who used to work for Hephaestus into Themyscira. This worries her sisters and led many of them to question her judgment, most prominently by Derinoe, who believes that Diana is not a worthy heir of Hippolyta and thus, attempts to replace her with a worthy one. Before she could defend her actions, Wonder Woman is called by Justice League for an emergency. It appears that the entire populace of a village has vanished and during her investigation, she met with Swamp Thing and attacked him for suspecting him responsible but then talked down by Aquaman. She admits that she is troubled with her duty as a Queen, a member of Justice League and now as the God of War!

A part of being Pantheon of Olympians and being involved in the affairs of her brothers have kept her so busy that she barely has time for her. When returned to Paradise Island, Diana is summoned by the council of Amazons to choose between her duties as a Queen or a savior of humanity. Meanwhile, Derinoe convinces her daughter to give up her own child to a powerful sorceress for a ritual that will forge the perfect Amazon from clay. Therefore, young Donna Troy is born to be a successor of Hippolyta's throne by defeating Wonder Woman. But before they could even face each other in battle, Derinoe's hatred leads Troy to do something that will infuriate the Amazon Queen. Also, an unexpected heart-breaking bad news waits for Diana that will torn her forever.

Deathstroke – God Killer | Comics

When Deathstroke is hired by a God of Olympus to kill another imprisoned god, Slade have to travel to the land of Themyscira.

During Slade Wilson's previous encounter with Odysseus has restored his youth as well as his eye by an old guy named I-Ching but as Deathstroke The Terminator, he has lost his edge (Gods of War). He is approached by Olympian God Hephaestus for a task and presented him the infamous God-Killer sword upon meeting to kill a god.

Normally, he wouldn't even think about it at all but since he his way past broke now, he accepted the contract. His current benefactor from their mercenary team "Dead Bastards", Victor Ruiz watches him in action alongside Olympian's forger of weapons.

Slade is pitted against a few grizzly monsters of that island and he cuts them down with God-Killer as it vibrates with his hatred and rage. Slade complains about the fact that a weapon which constantly changes its shape and weight is quite difficult to master.

Nevertheless, he becomes a part with the blade feeling its own emotions of hatred and massacred them all with ease. The forger seemed impressed with his abilities as a mere mortal to handle God Killer and Victor points out, Slade is no mere mortal either.

Before taking the assignment, he goes to see his daughter Rose Wilson one more time and left a note for his son Jericho. Hephaestus then drops him to Paradise Island and reveals his target to be an exiled Titan named Lapetus, whose essence was spread around Themyscira and he was known as The God of Mortality.

Slade sneaks through the forest to Tartarus, guided by the sword while trying to avoid being seen by The Amazons. The Olympian forger decided to aid him as a floating projection by his side and upon slaying the guards, he finds a statue.

Apparently it bears a resemblance to Apollo and Slade striking it with God Killer at the urge of the sword itself let Lapetus easily broke out of it and escape, leaving the assassin alone to face the wrath of current God of War, Wonder Woman!

Slade faces a furious Amazon Queen charging at him, believing he is responsible for release of Lapetus and he explains why he set foot on Paradise Island in the first place, to kill this imprisoned Titan with God-Killer blade from Hephaestus. Diana and Deathstroke both realize that they are currently on same page with a bit of help from her friend Hessia.

While they all were busy arguing, scattered essence of Lapetus from all corners of Paradise Island begins to slowly gather to unleash his madness upon the world once again. Seeing no other way to stop him, Diana and Hessia allowed Deathstroke a chance to do what is right since he has his way with the God-Killer sword.

After decimating an army of demons, he finds himself confronting his children Rose and Jericho, whereas Diana sees her deceased mother Hippolyta. They both face their demons and ultimately were able to escape from the illusion. When it felt like their fight against Lapetus is lost, a certain Man of Steel enters the scene.

Deathstroke – God Killer

While doing illustration for this monthly book, artist Tony Daniel (Superman/Wonder Woman, The Tenth) eventually took writer's duty to pen out the second Deathstroke storyline from third ongoing volume along with James Bonny.

Artists Eduardo Pansica and Tyler Kirkham (The Darkness, Tomb Raider) also served as guest-penciller for last three issues of the story, which is from Prime Earth timeline of DC Comics. "God Killer" takes premise from a standpoint of Slade's previous misadventure as a trained assassin and sets him a little out of his league facing a rogue Titan.

To Kill A God

Someone among the Pantheon of Olympian Gods wanted Titan Lapetus dead so that he never becomes a threat in future and hired elite mercenary Slade Wilson for this job via Hephaestus. Not only his contract of killing a god is near impossible but it really takes the metaphorical cake when Superman and Wonder Woman come to stand in his way.

With lots of hard to handle actions, it leaves Slade Wilson paying a high price even if he comes out successful in the end of this assignment. In spite of him trying to reconcile with his children, Jericho and Rose still doesn't want to talk to him yet.

Superman – Doomed | Comics

As Superman started dating Wonder Woman now (The Villain's Journey), the media has already dubbed them as the “Power Couple” of the world. Following their recent battle with Kryptonian despot Dru-Zod and his follower Faora that ended up in a massive nuclear blast, both of them head off to heal themselves and a mysterious being of unimaginable brute force unleashes its nonsensical murdering rampage by killing whomever it faces in somewhere else.

Since its kill count is growing rapidly and anyone sent to the zone is dying from radiation exposure it exerts, the military calls up for Superman's help. Meanwhile, reporter Lois Lane goes to Smallville for investigating a case of citizens falling into a sudden coma like state. The Justice League finds out that the murderous being known as Doomsday is actually seeking Superman and Lex Luthor suggests he can save the planet by taking the monster along with him out of the world.

Agreeing to this, Superman faces Doomsday in a deadly battle for one last time where he eventually kills him using sheer force. However, in doing so by ripping the creature in half, he also absorbs all of the exposure of toxic radiation by inhaling it all that the beast had released upon dying and he then slowly started to change like a Doomsday-like being. Not only he changed in the outside, Clark has totally lost his mild-mannered attitude and becomes more and more aggressive.

Worried for Clark’s well being and a sudden change of behavior, Diana sought their mutual friend Batman out for help and together, they visit the Phantom Zone for answers. Seeing his grotesque appearance and growing bestial nature, Superman surrenders himself to the authorities but even they deemed it impossible to contain him at one point when he becomes the "SuperDoom" creature. A recent attack from Metallo renders him weak, so Wonder Woman took him to outer space to figure a way out.

As Superman turns into a hulking being resembled to Doomsday, his cousin and newest Red Lantern member Supergirl and close friend Steel also came for aid while Brainiac keeps playing with the situation from behind the scene like a mastermind. When he finally shows up with Cyborg Superman and his armada to invade Earth, it appears that he has been controlling Lois Lane all along.

Borrowing elements from the iconic "The Death of Superman" story, writer Greg Pak (Incredible Hulk, World War Hulk), Charles Soule (New Gods – Godhead, Swamp Thing – New 52) and Scott Lobdell (The Darkness, WildC.A.T.s) has put together the grudge match of the two most powerful Kryptonians in “Superman – Doomed” crossover event in 2014 from DC Comics. Unlike the original milestone event where the Man of Steel seemingly faces his demise, this one actually ventures into a different dive of ideas by the creators which contains some twists as well.

Artist Ken Lashley, Aaron Kuder (The Amory Wars, Key of Z), Scott Kolins (Legion of Superheroes, Superman/Batman) and Tony Daniel (Deathstroke – New 52, The Savage Hawkman – Darkness Rising) joined forces with these visionary storytellers to envision the results in several monthly ongoing series including Action Comics, Superman/Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman/Superman and Supergirl of The New 52. "Superman – Doomed" is one of the first among the many story-arcs that will slowly led Superman of the Prime Earth to the events of "The Final Days of Superman".
