Avengers – Kree/Skrull War | Comics

The Kree super hero Captain Marvel has to share his presence of existence in antimatter universe called the Negative Zone with his young sidekick Rick Jones, thanks to the Supreme Intelligence. Mar-Vell contacts Rick upon learning that the Fantastic Four might have hold the key to end their troubled way of sharing existence.

So, he breaks into the Baxter Building while Rick switched place with him and ended up facing Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Vision upon setting the alarm while trespassing. He also managed to free Rick Jones from the Negative Zone but has accidentally released its ruler Annihilus, leading to The Avengers to fight him to send him back and Mar-Vell got injured while running away.

Meanwhile, Ronan the Accuser of the Kree Galactic Council informs the Supreme Intelligence about Captain Marvel’s current condition and sends the infamous Kree Sentry after him. Following the Sentry capturing Marvel, The Avengers responds to a distress call and ended up facing Ronan in the Arctic Circle of Alaska.

But Ronan quits his plan "Atavus" to turn mankind into dim-witted caveman to use as an army against the Skrulls and rushed to the Kree home-world of Hala upon receiving a message regarding an invasion led by the shape-shifting alien race of Skrulls, leaving them all behind. Captain America, Iron Man and Thor soon returns to the team's rescue, then led to Attilan to help The Inhumans and eventually take part in the intergalactic battle between the alien race of the Kree and Skrulls to restore order.

Man-Thing | Comics

Eons ago, a godlike being has constructed the Fallen Stars from the thoughts of his own mind, who also created a woman, Cleito to represent the nature of reality on Earth. Cleito also initiates the first Man of Lineage with Adam K'ad-Mon. Their birth site became known as the Nexus of Reality which the successors of generations known as Nexus guardians will look after.

But over period of time this duty however was being neglected by their descendants till it was completely discarded by the last one of the lineage, biochemistry professor Dr. Theodore Sallis at Empire State University. Very introvert, yet very bright, Sallis was recruited by the army for "Project Sulfur" where he developed "Serum SO-2" as a way to survive bio-chemical warfare and even worked with Dr. Curt Conners.

But the project was later abandoned for its effect of monstrous appearance on people. After he got married to one of his students Ellen Brandt, S.H.I.E.L.D. hired him to re-produce the Super Soldier Serum that created Captain America. He developed a version derived from his Serum SO-2.

Due to AIM’s untimely interference, he ran and took the serum but ended up on swamp, where he was transformed by mystical forces mixed with hazardous biochemicals into a dreadful creature who goes by the name Man-Thing and burns people having fear in his their mind within touch. He met Doctor Strange, Hulk, Ka-Zar, The Punisher and Thor, as well as served The Thunderbolts for a brief period. With Ghost Rider, Morbius and Werewolf by Night, he also serves in Legion of Monsters.

Avengers – Birth of Ultron | Comics

For long since the evil band of villains called The Masters of Evil is trying to defeat The Avengers and is considered as one of their worst group of enemies there is. Recently Klaw, Radioactive Man, The Black Knight, The Melter and Whirlwind have gathered to exact each of their personal vengeance on The Avengers under the command of a mysterious person, who goes by the name Crimson Cowl to re-assemble the team and launch a deadly assault against The Avengers.

Black Panther, Hawkeye, Goliath and The Wasp was working on a new trap for the security measure of the Avengers Mansion, which they also briefed to their trusted butler Edwin Jarvis. Though, a loyal companion to them for years, Jarvis acts a little cocky in the lab. Later Jarvis is seen to have met The Masters of Evil in secret to give in the blueprint of the Avengers Mansion.

He gave them vulnerable information about The Avengers that would led the villains to have their revenge on its members but he was neutralized instead of being paid in return for his service and the Masters of Evil strikes the heroes in the meantime, defeating them immediately in spite of Black Knight’s effort to warn them.

Soon, the Crimson Cowl revealed his true nature to them all as Ultron-5, the upgraded version of the android Dr. Hank Pym had created some time ago while experimenting with high-intelligence robotics technology, which now has become sentient and has created another super powered android Vision, to fulfill a sinister agenda of his own.

Birth of Ultron is an early storyline of the monthly Avengers series that depicts the origin story of the greatest threat for the existence of Marvel Universe, the menacing artificial intelligence named Ultron. Published from Marvel Comics in 1968, the story is written by Roy Thomas (Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange) and the artwork was provided by artist John Buscema (Sub-Mariner, Wolverine).

In 1200 B.C. the Greek goddesses has created the eternal female race of The Amazons by drawing the souls of all women who had been murdered by men. But one soul was left behind and Queen Hippolyta of The Amazons, was instructed to shape a baby girl with clay from the shores of Paradise Island and six Greek Pantheon gave it life.

The girl received divine blessings and powers from each of the Gods and by time she became the proud champion of The Amazons who is chosen to sent to man's world as an ambassador of peace with the golden Lasso of Truth. On man's world, she quickly learnt to speak English, made some new friends and started serving justice in disguise but soon busted into the public and people dubbed her as Wonder Woman.

She got recognition for her bravery and courage, which earned her a place among the ranks of the heroes of Justice League of America. Over years, she fought many battles alongside the League members and many super-powered foes like Ares, Cheetah, Silver Swan, Dr. Psycho, Circe, Doomsday clones and even the dreaded evil god Darkseid himself.

She is considered as one of the force of New Earth's Trinity alongside fellow heroes Superman and Batman. She was even involved in a mutual interest with Aquaman and then with Man of Steel for a short time but later they both came to terms that they should remain friends for their own betterment. Later she fell for her mortal team-mate The Dark Knight during her adventurous time with JLA.
