Deadpool – Secret Invasion | Comics

The Skrull Invasion has thrown the entire superhero community off-balance but for Deadpool, it's just Monday!

The shape-shifting alien race of Skrulls have started taking over Earth under everyone's nose by posing as government officials, military, Mutants and even infiltrating the ranks of major known super-heroes everywhere. To establish a new world order in their image, they are attacking on various places with their armada ships to take over.

A Skrull ship from invading force showed up over a baseball stadium while a game was on progress. While they were explaining their agenda to audience, their scan detects a non-human life form in the field which interests them slightly. Commander Ak'strk of the warship notices a game mascot and is appeared to be heavily armed.

After immediately gunning the poor mascot down from the armada ship, they sent a small unit of Skrulls to take a closer look at it for examination. What they thought as a costume is actually body armor and see the dome above them closing. From inside the mascot, Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool reveals himself to his baffled audience.

Since they haven't marked him as a significant threat, none of them initially recognized the Merc with a Mouth. While the Skrulls try to figure out who he is, DP was kicking butt and cutting them to pieces before he cleared the civilians out of the field. The warship fired again to take him down and another unit was sent believing he is neutralized.

However, the ground troop find the mascot body armor empty and deploys Super-Skrull as Dee Pee was on top of their ship, blowing it up with explosives he brought. Wade came crushing up from the roof, holding their General of the armada at gunpoint but almost immediately surrenders himself to them, expressing his wish to join their ranks.

Apparently, Wade was trying to make an impression by showing off but not buying it, Super-Skrull came at him. Though initially skeptical on his claims about wanting to side with them, they do recruit him considering his past of being a fine assassin created by Weapon X and possessing the accelerated healing factor in his genes to use it for their own need.

So, their sci-ops division took Wade in and they ran all sorts of experiment on him and his unique DNA is put into the mix to the genesis matrix of the new batch of Super-Skrulls. As the next-gen of soldiers is born, they took out the whole squadron of previous super-soldiers during exercise session with ease using their newfound madness.

DP intends to train the new squad so that they could stand against heroes like Black Panther, Cyclops and Iron Man but ended up leading them against each other. Soon, it appears that what Deadpool claimed at first place is not entirely true to the word and someone else is backing him up here on a deep-cover mission as well.

Upon dealing with the alien shape-shifters, DP was about to hit a major payday but he screwed up parts of the deal and got no money in the end. After sitting ducks for months, Wade is broke now and turned to his old pal Colonel Zeke for some work.

He asks Wilson to go to Eastern Europe for bringing back his former-supermodel wife and kill a plastic surgeon named Dr. Druek Lovosno who has turned her into a flesh-eating zombie for a million bucks. From the start, it looks like a botched up job and Wade smells of double-crossing right from the moment he stepped into it.

Deadpool Vol 01 – Secret Invasion (Hardcover)

With the major crossover event, "Secret Invasion" on progress, this three part story is a tie-in plot devised by writer Daniel Way (Bullseye – Greatest Hits, Ghost Rider – Vicious Cycle) and artist Paco Medina (Legendary Star-Lord – Face It, I Rule, Venom – Run). The creative team is back again with an anti-hero of Marvel Comics, Deadpool.

Collecting first five issues of the second monthly ongoing series of the controversial character, we are advanced towards another major crossover event "Dark Reign". Unlike his previous work, Medina toned down his drawings to a less bulky structures and it looks as good as the story with a traditional quirky tale of the merc.

One of The Skrulls

Following the events of "Wolverine – Origins – Deadpool", Wade Wilson went after the Skrulls as he miserably failed to do a job involving Wolverine and his son Daken. When the Skrulls attack on a baseball stadium during their worldwide invasion, Deadpool shows up to take them all out by himself as part of a new assignment.

If not an insane person, who else would dare to call an enraged Super-Skrull "Chilly McHotpants" to get on his nerves and then try to take him on in a close combat? Special guest appearance from Nick Fury and Norman Osborn would have major impact for the build of plot towards upcoming tie-in story "Deadpool – Dark Reign".

Deadpool – The Circle Chase | Comics
Wade Wilson takes the alias of Deadpool to pursue a mercenary career, is also known as the merc with a mouth for being such a talker and currently he is fighting off many other mercenaries who actually came looking for him in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. He surprise attacks them to take a couple of them down while making fun of them and fighting them off; eventually taking down every last one of them with efficiency. Deadpool meets his tech-guy cum weapons dealer Weasel in his safe-house and wants to know about his girlfriend Copycat. Deadpool encounters his former fellow Weapon X operative Garrison Kane who has become a cyborg now and they both fight each other for information.

Kane also reveals that Deadpool's old nemesis Gregory Terraerton AKA Slayback has been found alive and currently is looking for Deadpool to kill him. Meanwhile, the unstoppable mutant super-villain Juggernaut breaks into a secret facility for genetic research somewhere in France, looking for his uncle Black Tom Cassidy. A man named Louis Banque greets him and leads him to the room where his uncle is kept. He is surprised to see Black Tom in a way he never expected. A newly patched-up Black Tom and Juggernaut team up and attacks Deadpool to obtain a briefcase he previously stole from Mr. Gezdbadah earlier that holds valuable information of everyone's interest and with Deadpool around, it never happens in a typical way. It has to be very very awkward and a bit weird at the same time for everyone around him.

Deadpool – The Circle Chase

Deadpool – The Circle Chase is the first ever Deadpool title released by Marvel Comics. This four part bullet riddled limited series was written by Fabian Nicieza (Alpha Flight, New Warriors), who co-created the character with artist Rob Liefeld (Onslaught Reborn, X-Force) and the pencil works were done by the awesome Joe Madureira (Astonishing X-Men, Inhuman – Genesis). This limited series is one of Madureira's early works on Marvel that gave his work a great recognition to his fans. Though the series was featuring Deadpool, but the other supporting characters have seemed to got a bit more attention in the story than they should.

Deadpool | Comics

Deadpool was a Merc with a Mouth, subjected to a rogue experiment at Weapon X that gives him accelerated healing powers and insanity.

Most of his early life is unknown and when it comes to remember his own past he also cannot recall almost any of it. Whatever memories he still has are all very conflicting. At one instance it is what he recalls to be raised by a single mother who was very abusive to him and then in another, he remembers losing her when he was only five.

That is what he believes to be one of the primary reason why he grew up to be a criminal later in life but it turns out that, he left home in a very early age and his parents were still living in the same house they had in Canada. When he came back to that place years later, Wade Wilson could not recognize his room which his parents kept the same.

He joined U.S. Army Special Forces but had a hard time following orders, so he was kicked out soon. He is rolled into a CIA-sponsored group of mercenary assassins to kill certain targets that need not to live. These are the events that all took place before he was taken to Department K, meet Wolverine or even becoming the anti-hero Deadpool.

Whatever weird stuff Wade did back then is relatively less known but he traveled to Morocco and then Japan to be hired by a Yakuza crime boss. He was sent to get into a rival sumo-wrestling ring of his boss but ended up falling for Sazae, the young daughter of Oyakata, who was training him in wrestling for three years.

As the time came when his employer told him to kill his expert sumo wrestler mentor, Wilson backed out of this assignment that he claims to be the first time in his life. Sazae was left heartbroken after this and Wade relocated to U.S. he came to meet a mutant teenage prostitute Vanessa Carlysle, whom he would fall in love with soon.

Then he was hired to kill a British Government operative named Blind Al, who escaped before he could kill her. To get to him, Vanessa was targeted by his new employer but was saved by Zoe Culloden of Landau, Luckman, & Lake. They believed Wade was some sort of messiah who is going to prevent an oncoming cosmic threat.

Weapon X
Wade Wilson found out that he has been diagnosed with cancer and then broke up with Vanessa, so she could live a normal life instead of pinned with him. He even gave up on chemo treatments as he did not wished to prolong the inevitable. Then Department K contacted him with an offer to become a test subject for one of their projects.

He volunteered for the project and is given former Weapon X operative, Wolverine’s rapid healing factor to survive their experiments. Wade found himself in a field mission alongside other operatives Kane, Sluggo and Slayback. At one point, even Vanessa joined the team as mutant shape-shifter Copycat when her abilities started manifesting.

Later Wilson realized that his healing power is failing, thus the cancer came back and horribly deformed his flesh. Considering him a failure, Weapon X rejected him and sent him to one of their secret facility Hospice. There, every patient ends up being experimental test-subjects for Doctor Killebrew and his sadistic assistant Ajax.

Killebrew and Ajax are primarily responsible for turning Wade Wilson into psychotic super-merceneray Deadpool he'd become later. In Hospice, patients used to bet in a "deadpool" for how long they each going to last there. While suffering at the hands of evil geneticist Killebrew, he eventually met cosmic entity Death and formed a romantic relation.

He keeps on taunting Ajax by calling his real name Francis, earning him the respect of fellow patients but angered the sadistic assistant. To teach him a lesson, Ajax lobotomized his friend Worm, whom he had to kill to end his suffering. Killebrew had a rule that if any of his patients kill another should be executed and so, Francis tore Wilson's heart out.

His thirst for vengeance was so strong that it eventually jump-started his healing factor once again to save his life by regenerating his heart but unfortunately couldn't cure his scars. Nevertheless, Wade quickly rushed out to find Ajax after beating up all the guards in his way and he finally got to and shot his enemy before leaving him to die.

Merc with a Mouth
Upon leaving Hospice, Deadpool became an enforcer for Hammerhead before going back to being a freelance mercenary. He was hired by Kingpin and then tangled with his old pal Logan, when he was a spy for the Canadian government. Wade eventually found Blind Al and keep her captive but he killed anyone who ever tried to help her escape.

Years later, he returns to Hospice looking for a way to get to Killebrew and Doctor Walter Langkowski was assigned to treat him this time, who also happens to be Canada's super-team Alpha Flight member Sasquatch but then abandons this venture as well. Around this time, he got his hands on a teleportation device to aid in his misadventures.

Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars
What many doesn't know is that when the Beyonder picked up many superheroes and villains from Earth to his Battleworld to take part in original Secret Wars, Deadpool was one of the selected few. He met an alien woman named Zsaji there, who removed the scars on his face using her power and they both fell in love with each other.

He meddled with a machine to get a new costume after seeing Thor get one but got one in black-and-white that was alive and interacted with his psyche as it was an alien symbiote Klyntar. He left it back to where he found it before Spider-Man arriving to repair his own costume and became bonded to it without knowing its true nature.

Before the event of Doctor Doom stealing Beyonder's power, he briefly started an affair with The Wasp after Zsaji moved on with Colossus. He sacrificed his own life to resurrect Mister Fantastic to save the day and his scars would return for doing so. Wasp was horrified to see his face and wished to Beyonder that he erase this from everyone's memory.

Back in Black
When Spider-Man has removed his symbiotic costume in the bell tower of Our Lady of Saints Church, it felt abandoned and after being chased by a group of alien bounty hunter, it quickly ran from there. It founds a blinded Deadpool in a nearby club fighting Machine Man and bonded to him as he was about to be mind-controlled by Dansen Macabre.

Turning into Venompool, he kicked off all of his attackers and even killed some of them. Aside from having tentacles, Wade discovers that he can now shoot webbing like Spidey. Wilson recalls their time from Battleworld and decides to keep the suit this time. Soon the dup will be persuaded by extraterrestrial bounty hunter Killer Thrill, Guzz and Coldwar.

After defeating Dansen Macabre, he briefly teamed up with Power Pack to fight Zn'rx soldiers, took down White Rabbit alongside Black Cat, devoured Coldwar when engaged, gotten into beef with Kraven the Hunter for mistaking it as Spider-Man and finally saved the latter's life by forcing Killer Thrill to leave him alone before letting go off the suit.

Secret Invasion
Wade Wilson was also operational during the invasion of the alien Skrulls and took a covert assignment from Nick Fury of S.H.I.LE.D. So, he goes to a baseball stadium where an armada ship showed up posing as a mascot and gunned down a few of them. When they deployed the Super-Skrull to catch him, he surrenders and wishes to join them.

Despite his history in killing business and a shady past as a Weapon X operative, the Skrulls were not interested about him but when they discover his rapid healing ability, they decide to develop a new batch of super weapon using his DNA. The new bunch showed potential by taking out an entire fleet of Super-Skrulls with ease.

Although impervious to death, they all now posses Wade's incurable insanity and when he made them blew each other brains out, his intentions became clear to the enemy. The remaining few were killed off by cell overgrowth from his healing factor. Before leaving with the data he came looking for, Wade beats the lead geneticist to death.

Dark Reign
Earlier, Wade went through a lot of crap to infiltrate among the ranks of Skrulls during "Secret Invasion" to get information on behalf of Nick Fury but his transmission was intercepted by Norman Osborn, which he used to kill the Skrull Queen and became director of H.A.M.M.E.R. while Wilson got scammed out of a payday he worked for.

After a botched up job off-shore, he was returning back to America and his ship was sunk by Tiger Shark. He wakes up at a Mexico beach, missing an arm but as he goes out seeking the enemy, it came to him with a huge machete. His friend Hydra agent Bob came to help him fight Shark too but was actually sent here to kill him.

DP clears the wind between them by revealing that he knows Bob was sent to whack him down but then they team-up and defeat Tiger Shark before shooting him in the hand for trying to sell him out. He forced Bob to reveal the identity of his secret employer, who was Osborn and learned that he is the one responsible for Wade missing his paycheck.

So, Deadpool sends an invoice to him next day for a hundred million and he then assembles his Thunderbolts team to confront the merc. DP ran straight to the trap set for him on Avengers Tower but still managed to take down all of his attackers except Yelena Belova, the other Black Widow and even started flirting with her instead of fighting.

With help from Taskmaster, he tries to woo her some more by swapping places and got his head cut off by Headsman, which Yelena put back on. Osborn thought he has seen the last of him but saw him alive and sent master assassin Bullseye dressed as Hawkeye to take care of business but he had to pay Wade to stop him from keep coming back.

Uncanny Avengers
Deadpool has been taking covert assignments from an elderly person that doesn't even pay him. He is worried that if word gets out about him doing charity works, it may ruin his reputation. Though he decided not to take orders from anyone a while ago, the tables have turned and he is not even allowed to kill anyone during these missions.

He breaks into a secret facility to collect a canister before arriving on Avengers Mansion and his handler is revealed to be none other than Steve Rogers, formerly known as Captain America. Turns out what he bust out are Terrigen Mist samples, now will be used to find a cure for M-Pox to save Rogue and he became a member of Rogers' Unity Squad.

Lost Future
So, alongside a team of Doctor Voodoo, Human Torch, Quicksilver, Rogue, Spider-Man and Synapse, Deadpool officially begin his career as an Avenger with Commander Steve Rogers in charge. In their first adventure, they go up against the Super-Adaptoid that was being a challenged to them that neither Synapse nor Torch could handle.

Wade takes him down with an unorthodox method that could've been dangerous and this angers Spidey so much that he quits the team. A villain mutated by Terrigen Cloud called Shredded Man unleashes a dystopian landscape on Boston that required time-travelling mutant Cable to come back from future and join forces to stop him.

Seeing his teammates not getting along with Nathan much, Wade suggests that if he is here from future then things are bad for real. These two mutant mercenaries go guns blazing against those creatures before having Rogue to throw him to at the enemy for a "Fastball Special" when he ran out of ammo and Cable eventually saves the day.

The Man Who Fell To Earth
Trapped inside the prison of Pleasant Hill, Wade gives chase to a vehicle with Nathan, Rogue, Synapse and Voodoo to a vehicle Wrecker was driving. He asks the Wrecking Crew member if he has been looking for Red Skull as he was tasked. Together they all regrouped to fight back S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives to stop them from taking Maria Hill back.

When Hank Pym returns to Earth soon wrapped up in Ultron parts, Wade was surprised as everyone else. He later stops by to ask Cable if Half Life 3 ever drops seeing him talking with Human Torch about future. As the Schaefer Theater is blown up by a distressed Hank, DP has him held on gunpoint after Wasp hits him with an E.M.P. charge.

While Cap and Janet argues about whether to take a shot, he fires a warning shot touching his ear, only to be impaled by a robotic extension of the robot. Nate asks Wasp to fire a second E.M.P. to disable Ultron's remains inside Deadpool's body and then separates the Merc from the machine by ripping it all from his flesh using his telekinesis.

Writer Fabian Nicieza (Alpha Flight, New Warriors) came up with the idea to co-create Deadpool for Marvel Comics with artist Rob Liefeld (Heroes Reborn – Captain America, Onslaught Reborn) who made debut in first volume of New Mutants monthly ongoing series in 1991 and then went on to appear in several comic-book titles for years.

After starring in many limited series with single-serving plots, he gets his own monthly ongoing series by writer Joe Kelly (Emperor Joker, Justice League Elite) and collaborating artist Ed McGuinness (Avengers – X-Sanction, Hulk – Red Hulk) in 1997, which often turned into action comedy stories for comic relief rather than some serious stuff.

The Best Mercenary Ever

Over the years of publications, Wade Wilson has made more deadly enemies than he made friends that he can count on and though his intentions are not always bad, he is often portrayed as an anti-hero. He would mostly go pick up fights with bad guys who are way out of his league but will manage to take them down in the end somehow anyway.

Even after all that blood in his resume, he somehow pulled off being a member of Uncanny Avengers and mutant superhero team of the X-Men for at least once. In motion picture, the character is portrayed by actor Ryan Reynolds in X-Men Origins – Wolverine in 2009 first and then later in his R-rated live-action solo Deadpool movie in 2016.

The solo movie became an impressive Box-Office success worldwide and triggered for a sequel. Reynolds eventually returns with Deadpool 2 in 2018 which also stars actor Josh Brolin and Zazie Beetz to portray Cable and Domino respectively in the cinematic debut of these characters and a very short-lived version of X-Force at the same time.

Cable | Comics

In order to defeat his adversary Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister orchestrated the birth of Nathan Summers, who is destined to become the time-traveling hero Cable!

A link between present and future, Nathan Summers, A.K.A. Cable is the biological son of X-Men member Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey. Actually, evil geneticist Mister Sinister plotted his birth from his obsession of creating "The Perfect Mutant" and with an intention to use him one day against his former master, Apocalypse.

Since Jean was placed in a cocoon at Jamaica Bay after her encounter with cosmic Phoenix Force, Sinister made a clone of her but what it lacked was her memory. At first, Sinister thought his experiment was a complete failure but when Madelyne received some of Jean's memories through Phoenix Force, he sent her to meet Scott Summers.

All he wanted was an offspring from the union of Madelyne and Scott for his plans to succeed. This plan worked as Jean was thought dead and Scott felt very drawn towards her because of her uncanny resemblance with his lover. They married, she eventually got pregnant and they had a son whom they named Nathan Christopher Charles Summers.

Troubled by his own, Scott lost his leadership to X-Men, so he decided to retire for the time being and raise baby Nathan with his wife Madelyne. However, their marriage starts reaching to a point where he starts avoiding her and would often miss Jean instead.

To make matters worse, Jean Grey turned out to be very much alive and Scott left behind Nate with his wife. Scott rejoined his friends from X-Men to form a new super-hero team called X-Factor. Sinister sends his Marauders to bring Nathan to him and kill Madelyne to remove any evidence that suggests there was a clone of Jean.

Inferno
Nathan was captured and taken to Sinister's secret lab for further experiment while his mother barely survived the attack. She was also attacked in the hospital but luckily for her, Wolverine came in with the team of X-Men to rescue her. Madelyne later learns why Scott has abandoned her and started to lose grip on her sanity.

Dubbing herself as Goblin Queen, she agreed to help demons S'ym and N'Astirh to unleash demons from Limbo on Earth to get her son back. Scott and Jean rescues Nate from Sinister's lab while fighting Nanny and Orphan-Maker. As baby Nate starts growing up, he starts developing telekinetic powers but soon is kidnapped by Riders of the Storm.

They took him to their base on Blue Area of the Moon and Apocalypse then infected him with the deadly Techno-Organic Virus. It was rapidly spreading liquid metal and organic steel over his body, which would kill him if it cannot be stopped in time. Cyclops is visited by Sister Askani from the alternate reality of Earth-4935, who took Nathan with her.

Nathan Dayspring
In the alternate timeline, Apocalypse has taken over and Nathan is raised by Mother Askani, his alternate timeline sister Rachel Summers. He was taught to use his vast powers to frequently keep the lethal virus in his system on check. Often worshiped as "Dayspring" and "Askani'son" by members of Clan Askani, he was deemed to be their savior in future.

The virus in his system progressed so far that she feared the boy probably would not survive and so she made a clone of him as part of a contingency plan. Minions of En Sabah Nur broke in to kidnap the boy for their master and ended up taking his clone after killing many members of the Clan Askani as Rachel has already removed Nate.

Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix
Apocalypse was unaware about the clone of Nathan Summers and believed he got the real baby. Naming him Stryfe, he planned to raise the boy as a vessel for the time when he will need a host body. Meanwhile, Scott and Jean are taken to future by a badly wounded Mother Askani, who handed Nate to them before slipping into coma.

The couple knew by now that this boy is going to become Cable and started raising him to be the soldier he is destined to become. When he encountered Stryfe for first time, Nate defeated him on Apocalypse's citadel. He was telepathically taught by Rachel to destroy Legacy Virus and how to contain the deadly Techno-Organic Virus in his own system.

As En Sabah Nur was preparing to switch his consciousness into Stryfe, Nathan reached there with Scott and Jean. He disturbed the telepathic links between the villain and his host, which seemingly killed Apocalypse. With that, Rachel starts dying, his parents are sent back to future and Nate remained to restore balance on Earth-4935.

The Traveler
After fruitlessly trying to restore peace over and over, Nathan grew tired of Askani ways and decided to face Apocalypse before he conquers everything. He arrived in ancient Egypt right after En Sabah Nur discovered the Celestial Ship and engaged with his Dark Riders.

Calling himself as The Traveler, he dispatched all the minions and is threatened by an ancient evil Skornn, who feeds on humans and mutants. Despite his best efforts, Nate was unable to kill it as it was an immortal being that can only be slain by a dagger, Five Fingers of Annihilation and with help from a sorceress D'narda, he managed to kill it.

Living Legends
In another of their confrontation, Nate shot En Sabah Nur straight to the head and his not-so loyal Dark Riders took him for their newest leader but he declined the offer. His cybernetic arm was severed during their battle and Nur’s blood mixed with Nate's techno-organic infected remains allowed Ozymandias to revive his master later.

When he learns that his blood actually helped resurrect the villain, he sends him away in space along with his Celestial Ship. Ozymandias states that, although Nathan was traveling through time to find out a way to stop Nur, it is what actually helped him after all.

Six Pack
In his attempt to understand the threats of modern era, Cable formed a mercenary group called the Wild Pack and mostly worked with an arms dealer named Mr. Tolliver. His orbiting space station Graymalkin became a means of transportation for various situations.

Soon, time-traveling mutant came in conflict with fellow merc Silver Sable, who had her own group of the same name and then changed it to Six Pack when his fellow team-member suggested of it over a drink. He discovers that his cloned-half, Stryfe has been backing his contractor Tolliver and he then abandoned their mission halfway.

Nathan and his team later broke into a Hydra research facility and are threatened by an image of Baron von Strucker. Though the mission was successfully completed, they were being played by A.I.M. and for a payback, the team goes after Stryfe and Cable managed to wound him, which lead to the destruction of site and his team disbands afterwards.

Lost Future
Nathan Summers comes to present day Boston from the year 2087 to find it swarmed by the plants of Shredded Man. His bleeding edge AI, Belle suggests that the current catastrophe the world is going through could be related to M-Pox. Cable came across one of those plant-based creatures that he blew away with a force blast from his Psimitar.

Seeing Wade as an Avenger in a newspaper, Nate gets really worried thinking how bad things have gone. He soon joins Deadpool, Doctor Voodoo, Rogue and Synapse during a fight while handing Quicksilver an enzyme to synthesize more of it and administer among the ones infected before getting back to blast away the Shredded Man.

Rogue falls flat upon confronting the villain and Nate tends to her care with antitoxin. He finds out the one they are fighting is a relative to Emily Guerrero AKA Synapse and when he received a psychic flash of her snapping the neck of Shredded Man, he stops her. Nate then forces the ecological maniac to reverse everything by jeopardizing her life.

The Man Who Fell to Earth
Although he never officially joined the ranks of Uncanny Avengers, Cable stayed around to help the team. He helps out Synapse to get better at using her telepathic power and lead their team to pursue Wrecker as he attempts to escape Pleasant Hill. Together they fight back S.H.I.E.L.D. to help Maria Hill from getting imprisoned into her own prison.

After wrapping things up with her, an Ultron-possessed Hank Pym returns to Earth and Nathan asks his suit for peer review but he shows that there is not much organic part left. Cap asks him to prepare a non-fatal way to neutralize Hank just in case. When Nate learned that Janet flunked him, he pushes Hank to the point where he lost his cool.

He blew up the Schaefer Theater the team resided in only to be hit by an E.M.P. next from Wasp until more cavalry of heroes arrive. Ultron then infected Deadpool with his organism that Cable pulled out of his body using his power of telekinesis and helped the team encase the murder bot into Hulkbuster Armor before hurling it into the sun.

The Newer Mutants
When members of the ancient group of mutants known as the Externals starts dying one by one, Cable made it his one-man mission to find out the mysterious mutant killer by drafting Doop, Longshot and Shatterstar into his cause before facing the vampiric Selene. They find out that she has already assembled the formerly deceased Externals at her side.

Armor and X-23 joins Cable's crew before discovering the rest who didn't join the Black Queen of Hellfire Club ended up dead. She brought an amnesiac Blink to her side as a secret weapon and eventually learns that their unknown assailant is none other than an old enemy named Gideon, who previously fought the X-Force.

One of her allies turned on them while the mutant mimic grows too powerful for any of them to stop. The Black Priestess sought help from Nathan and then tries to take care of this External business by herself but Gideon proved too powerful for them. The beast was finally slain using an energy portal by Clarice with some guidance from Nate.

Deadpool Pulp

Cable is a time-travelling mutant superhero of Marvel Comics who first appeared in New Mutants #86, which was a cameo and made his full appearance in New Mutants #87. The creator credit for Cable goes to artist Rob Liefeld (Heroes Reborn – Captain America, Onslaught Reborn) who at that time was working on that monthly ongoing series.

Over years, many talented comic-book writers and artists have taken their turns on this character that has molded him into the hero he is today. However, it seems take on his character by artist Chris Bachalo (Captain America – Homeland, Dark Reign – The Sinister Spider-Man) is the best portrayal there is till date.

The Askani Son

In years of publication, Cable traveled to present and went back to future in time to save timelines countless times. He founded groups like Clan Chosen, Six Pack, The Underground and X-Force, while also leading them. Aside from leading New Mutants, he was also within the groups of Clan Askani, Secret Avengers, Uncanny Avengers and X-Men.

Nathan has also frequently teamed-up with psychotic super-merceneray Deadpool and his former lover Domino. Following the immense success of 2016's live-action, R-rated Deadpool movie, a sequel is announced for 2018 and Cable is going to appear as a pivotal character in Deadpool 2, portrayed by actor Josh Brolin.
