Guardians of the Galaxy – Emperor Quill | Comics

As Fantastic Four is currently no longer in business, The Thing has nothing better to do and he decided to become a spaceman. So, Benjamin J. Grimm has joined Guardians of the Galaxy alongside Drax the Destroyer, Star-Lord/Kitty Pryde, Flash Thompson's Venom and Groot, led by their brand-new leader Rocket Raccoon. Though, Ben lovies his time in space, he finds the downside of it being always being threatended by a Chitauri Leviathan that is after him and thanks to Kitty Pryde, they took out a entire Chitauri fleet with very little effort and secured a package from them.

Since no one knows what's inside of it and they have no expert on-board to examine it and cannot come to any conclusion whether it's a weapon or a cosmic artifact, The Guardians took a vote and went to see an old friend. On Spartax, Emperor Peter Quill is dying of boredom while ruling the planet and suddenly out of the blue, Rocket and The Guardians arrives at his doorstep with the package acquired from Chitauri.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Emperor Quill | Comics

On Spartax, Emperor Peter Quill was dying of boredom while ruling the planet alongside Spartax Council as their new king, attending meetings to discuss military expenditures and trade negotiations that are driving him nuts. Peter was trying to resist sexual advancement from an alien being and suddenly out of the blue, Rocket arrives with the rest of Guardians of the Galaxy at his doorstep with the package acquired from Chitauri. Only moments after their arrival, a shiny object falls from the orbit and hits straight to the surface, which is revealed to be a badly-beaten and bloodied Gamora.

She tries to warn her friends about her attacker and it seems that Gamora encountered a Kree, belonging to Accuser Corps, named Hala who has beaten her like this. She fled from the Kree using all her strength to come to Spartax, so she could warn Quill and the Guardians. Hala is the last remaining Accuser, who seeks out retribution for the destruction of Kree Homeworld and her people at the hands of Quill's father and former King J'son while she was away. Now, as the sole survivor of her race, she came to Spartax to kill Emperor Peter Quill.

They all attacked the Kree Accuser one by one but none of them could make an impact except for Ben Grimm landing a few punches on her. Then an attempt from Spartoi Royal Guards to restrain Hala also proved to be as futile. Even the combined might of the Guardians seems not enough to even slow her down a bit and they are all forced to leave while Gamora engages her in duel again. As the rogue Accuser tears apart the heroes and wrecks havoc on Spartax, a doozy alien named Yotat the Destroyer seeks for Drax to settle down some old score.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Emperor Quill (Softcover)

Guardians of the Galaxy – Emperor Quill (Hardcover)

Set up after Marvel's ground-breaking events of "Time Runs Out" and "Secret Wars", Guardians of the Galaxy is taking a new move with "Emperor Quill" storyline which is devised by writer Brian Michael Bendis (Daredevil – End of Days, Daredevil – Ninja) and illustrated by artist Valerio Schiti (Guardians of the Galaxy – Wanted, New Avengers – A Perfect World), as Arthur Adams (Gen¹³/Generation X, Longshot) provided cover arts. "Emperor Quill" does very well connecting the current plot to the previous happenings of the Marvel Universe; like "The Black Vortex" and subtly plants seeds for more in the foreseeable future with more stakes on the line.

New members Ben Grimm and Flash Thompson are added to the roster to add some new twist to the play and bringing diverse flavor among the space-heroes. This puts Rocket straight on the driving seat of the gang whilst Quill plays the fancy boy-king of Spartax. During Quill's presence, Rocket always argued with him how his plans are better and now with the former out for the time being, he can finally prove his worth as a team-leader. Also, the story hints a major oncoming conspiracy from the depth of Negative Zone by two of the menacing figures; Annihilus and Queen of the Brood which might eventually turn out to be some major catastrophic event in future as the series progresses.

Storm assembled an all-new, extraordinary team of X-Men where she wants Old Man Logan and young Jean Grey to join.

When Thanos came to Earth last time, he came looking for his illegitimate son and had a clash with Black Bolt, the King of Inhumans. The latter detonated a Terrigen Bomb that not only destroyed New Attilan but also left Terrigen Mist in the atmosphere. However, it drastically increased their number while also severely affecting the lives of mutants.

Following this event, X-Men leader Cyclops have gone totally nuts and tried to start a mutant "Revolution" for dominance with a few of his radical followers who had the same belief. This irrational act eventually went horribly wrong for everyone and years of working to improve their public image by Professor X is completely ruined within moments.

Now, veteran X-Men member Storm finds herself with a burden on her shoulder to save her own race without the guidance of her mentor and former leader, Professor Charles Xavier. With the worldwide spread of Terrigenesis, humans and mutants are both dying from its exposure that causes what they are calling “M-Pox” or "X-Pox" these days.

As a result, the age old fear of mutants among humans has re-emerged once again. Meanwhile, a time-displaced Jean Grey from Earth-TRN240 was trying to find a plain and simple life on Earth-616 reality, gets approached by Storm to join their team, which she declined given her history of ending up dying every time as Marvel Girl no matter what.

She realizes that the outbreak of M-Pox caused by Terrigen Mist is not only killing their kind but also sterilizing them from ever to grow in numbers again and it can mean the end of the mutant race.

Mutant sorceress Illyana Rasputin aka Magik took it upon herself to scout throughout the whole world seeking for any mutant refugees in dire situation to save them from angry human mobs triggered by current mutant hysteria and brings them all back to X-Haven, the current headquarters of X-Men situated in magical dimension of Limbo.

Magik then heads straight to Lake Baikal, Russia, looking for her elder brother and former X-Man member Colossus to recruit him back to their fold during this crisis while their old pal Nightcrawler was being chased by a newly reformed group of Marauders.

Storm and Iceman were astounded to discover Old Man Logan is walking among them when he mistakenly attacked Cerebra, recently restructured within a Sentinel body by thinking it as an enemy. The old friends catch up quick about their current state of affairs before the young Jean finally meets with Logan to convince and bring him back to action.

Colossus and Magik investigate the disappearance of Nightcrawler only to run into the new team of Marauders and then attacked by someone Sinister. I Hate Fairyland – Madly Ever After
 | Comics
Like every other six-years-old kid of her age, Gertude always wanted to visit the amazing world of Fairyland and by luck, her wish gets fulfilled as she was sent there. But her entry to the land was rather painful than the happy and cheerful way that she expected all along as she landed on her face when she entered there. Queen Cloudia of the land then greets her to the kingdom and because of having such a near-death experience, a heavily bashed Gertude immediately requests her to send her back from where she came. But now that she has entered the Fairyland, she is a guest here and she can only go back if she can find the key to the door leads to home. A day worth of journey ahead of her, Gertude is then aided by a talking fly named Larry and a map for her quest.

However, the search for that special key took her 27 years in Fairyland and she became a violently hateful psychopath who developed a short temper. She was just expressing her frustration over the fact that they just passed something on the map and then instantly gets irritated at the Moon who was narrating the tale. Their conversation gets heated up and she blew up the moon with a cannon and the stars also met the same fate as the witnesses of the occurrence. The dead stars start falling over and Gertude’s increasing madness made Queen Cloudia worried because she is a guest here and cannot be killed. She goes on a rampage by eating the Mushroom Polices, visited Ice Cream Island, beheaded a Hunter and fighting a herd of Zombies while Cloudia plans to teach her a lesson for life.
