In their short career as Green Lanterns, Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz of Earth has seen an awful lot to the furthest corners of the galaxy. Though, they may not be as valiant as Hal Jordan, or insightful like John Stewart, not like the ever-angry Guy Gardner and not visionary like Kyle Rayner, Jessica and Simon are the best bet Earth has right now.

When an unknown spacecraft enters Earth's atmosphere, the ring alerted them both and they quickly rushed to the spot. What seemed like a simple assignment turns out to be a rogue Manhunter that starts giving them a hard time. Then Hal Jordan arrives declaring it was a test. Since they don't work along well, Jordan pits them both by merging their Power Battery into one to protect Earth by learning to work together.

As no one currently knows the whereabouts of the Green Lantern Corps and they are frequently recruiting more members from Earth means something big is about to happen and when it does, Jessica and Simon will be needed. When the ring picks up another alert of unauthorized alien in Pima County, Arizona, the rookies heads to the location to find out a pile of corpse who were reported missing and witnessed the erection of Hell Tower.

A.R.G.U.S. agents took over the situation by sending them away. The tension of the deranged partnership of Jessica and Simon escalates as situation goes worse. On Ysmault, leader of the Red Lantern Corps, Atrocitus shares his vision of an upcoming apocalyptic prophecy that is "Red Dawn" with Bleez and Dex-Starr.

Green Lanterns – Rage Planet

As DC Rebirth brought the change to the entire status-quo of the DC Universe, writer Sam Humphries (Fanboys vs. Zombies – Wrecking Crew 4 Lyfe, Fanboys vs. Zombies – Appetite for Destruction) and artist Robson Rocha (Action Comics – Hybrid, Teen Titans – Light and Dark) took charge of the new monthly ongoing series Green Lanterns featuring rookie Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz.

Against The Red Rage

Mentored by senior Lantern of the Corps, Hal Jordan and aided by members of the Justice League, the exceptional duo of Jessica and Simon really brings a new flavor to the series. The Flash – Lightning Strikes Twice | Comics

As secrets from past beyond Flashpoint was coming back to him, Barry Allen is troubled with a wave of speedsters to take care of as The Flash.

As The Flash, Barry Allen is a gifted speedster and the fastest man alive on Earth, who also is a valued member of the Justice League. Recently, he's been struck with awe when Wally West from his past has made contact with him through the Speed Force, who was desperately seeking an anchor to hold on to this world to find his long-lost friends.

After Barry has reached out and acted as his "lightning rod", Wally successfully came out of the endless loop he was stuck in for the past 10 years. Now, there are also two other Wally West around from different timelines in this reality. The one that just came on Prime Earth has changed his costume and goes to find his friends in Titans.

Meanwhile, images of Wally and a strange apparition have been haunting his psyche as he was spending his days solving crime as a forensic scientist. He is waiting for a word from Batman about their recent "Revelation" about an artifact from beyond. It was a smiley face yellow button left behind by Wally earlier that night seeking help.

He races throughout Central City to lend a helping hand in need but feels that no matter how much he tries to help or does help, it's not enough ever. Barry reaches to a crime scene where he met Detective August Heart, his partner at Central City CSI and the only witness of the accident that gave him the speed-power after being struck with lightning.

The Flash - Lightning Strikes Twice | Comics

August goes to S.T.A.R. Labs as a police escort while Barry heads for his lunch date with Iris and her young nephew Wally. Ever since his old apprentice has returned from past, he has been trying to spend more time with his loved ones. They were talking about how things were at work for him lately but are interrupted by a fire emergency.

He again rushes to aid for a house fire nearby before heading to the S.T.A.R. Labs transport that is attacked by the terrorist gang called the Black Hole. August was on the field and when one of the Black Hole goons shoots him following a confrontation, Barry makes a last ditch attempt to desperately catch the bullet before it could hit August.

Moments prior to The Flash could reach Detective Heart; a sudden bolt of lightning hit him out of nowhere and instantly turned him into a speedster. Apparently he got access to Speed Force and took down his attacker before anyone could see it. August breaks the ice about Barry's secret identity when he finds out that he has the same powers like him.

Then they two had to partner up to rescue Iris West from the clutches of Black Hole who kidnapped her for digging too much and asking too many questions about their motive of robbery. A Speed-Force storm then starts randomly striking the citizens of Central City, creating many other speedsters in the process before finally passing.

The ones that misused their newfound powers for crime eventually ended up behind the walls of Iron Heights and the good folks were all sent to S.T.A.R. Labs so that they learn to control their untapped power. Barry explains to his friend about how Professor Zoom has murdered his mother and is kept within a special holding cell in here.

They meet Meena Dhawan, director of the Speed-Force testing center in S.T.A.R. Labs who goes to help out some more speedsters in need with Flash. They go back to Iron Heights afterwards only to find out that all the criminals with speed powers are all drained out of their Speed-Force by a ruthless and powerful new speedster named Godspeed.

The Flash – Lightning Strikes Twice

Just as the DC Rebirth crossover mania hits the entire DC Universe to the core the way it once stormed with "Flashpoint", writer Joshua Williamson (Birthright, Nailbiter) and artist Carmine di Giandomenico (Daredevil – Battlin' Jack Murdock, Spider-Man – Noir) were to pitch a Flash storyline with a bold new direction that fits the vibe of "DC Rebirth"

Starting from the special Rebirth one-shot issue; the arc dazzles to a new peak taking point from there. Plus, there are two Wally West running around for Barry to mentor aside from his regular crime-fighting. He also will solve the mystery of "The Button" by working with Batman, which is going to be an upcoming Watchmen related crossover.

No More Speedsters!

This story doesn't only feature protagonist Barry Allen with two different Wally West but also marks the debut of a new and menacing rival for Flash who is probably more powerful than anyone Barry had ever faced yet and he is called Godspeed. So, the question remains that how come the fastest speedster of the world defeat someone faster than him?

Alongside the Flash: Rebirth one-shot, the arc is covered in issues #1-8 from the fifth ongoing monthly volume of The Flash comic-book series and is about to be concluded in "Speed of Darkness" storyline up next, where the original Kid Flash will meet his Prime Earth counterpart and a villain from past named The Shade will return to haunt them.

Justice League – The Extinction Machines | Comics

Somewhere in Eastern Europe, Wonder Woman was on a mission to stop war and while she was trashing enemy tanks, a massive tremor suddenly crashed the whole place down, killing almost everyone and left her speechless at this incident. Then the news of multiple earthquake and tsunamis killing many around the globe hits the broadcast worldwide like wildfire. Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz go to Beijing to help and Cyborg handles the situation in New York.

Justice League – The Extinction Machines | Comics

The Flash races to San Francisco and Aquaman struggles to restore balance in a trembled Atlantis while maintaining order among his loyal subjects. Then the populace of earth gathered starting to chant for “The Kindred”, as a hive-minded living organism. The recently deceased soldiers killed by the tremor also crawled back up to Diana chanting to give up her power. Jessica, Simon and Flash experience a sudden outage of power right at that moment.

Aquaman too finds his subjects turned to him chanting mindlessly for The Kindred. In Gotham, Batman finds a giant bug-like object while getting updates from Cyborg on the activities of the new Superman about how he is saving the day all around the world on his own. The object suddenly busts out releasing an enormous herd of bugs on the civilians. The Flash came just in time to rescue the civilians from the bug-attack and cleaned up the scene.

Just as they all gets back on their feet, Cyborg calls everyone back to the Watchtower. He shows four circled object at Earth’s core and they see a fleet of those bug-like objects approaching. Batman goes to get Superman to help the Justice League. Jessica and Simon eventually discovers the source of bug-armada through a wormhole in space. Diana encounters one of The Kindred and Superman flies to the core of earth to remove The Kindred’s Extinction Machines.

As the situation gets worse over the world, Wonder Woman faces one of The Kindred to free the innocents from their grasp but she too is pulled inside. Jessica, Simon, Flash and Cyborg get busy to handle the next wave of The Kindred on Earth. Batman asks Victor to open a portal to Earth's core and Superman goes in to save his newly adopted world.

Justice League – The Extinction Machines

Just as DC Rebirth has launched a new-era of DC Comics, writer/artist Bryan Hitch (Age of Ultron, The Ultimates) and artist Tony Daniel (Deathstroke – New 52, Superman/Wonder Woman) gives us the first Justice League story arc of Rebirth in “The Extinction Machines”. Collecting the first five issues of the third ongoing volume, the story also includes the one-shot Justice League: Rebirth issue as well.

The Kindred Awakes

This story marks the first-ever team-up of the Pre-Flashpoint Superman with the heroes of Prime Earth in a time of crisis, where he proves his worth to the League as well as earning the respect that he deserves and his deserving place in the group. Punisher – On The Road | Comics

A new performance enhancing drug called EMC is on its way to get on the hands of all the wrong kind of people. Former marine turned mercenary named Olaf is in charge of the Brooklyn Warehouse district where the arrangement for EMC's distribution was in process. A cold-hearted killer named Face pays him a visit to hand him over a folder containing the supply and route info.

Punisher – On The Road | Comics

Before leaving, Face left Lloyd and Luther Luckett to lend Olaf a hand if anything goes wrong. While their operation was going smooth, a bunch of enthusiast Drug Enforcement Administration agent Ortiz and Henderson prepares their men for a sting operation from a nearby safe house. Unknown to both parties, Frank Castle was making his own arrangements to inflict his judgment on crime.

Before anyone knew, The Punisher unloads himself onto them as the wrath of god and in no time, he massacred the whole crew. Olaf narrowly made it out and tipped Castle with the folder that Face gave him earlier. DEA agents arrived too late to pick up Frank's mess and Face's employer requests him to take out Punisher.

Using Olaf's info, Castle gets the drop on Face and his goons but the maniac got out alive after going into a frenzy against Punisher upon taking a small amount of EMC dosage. With DEA on his tail, Frank pays Josiah a visit next on his hideout in Vermont and took care of him before he could use his daughter as a suicide bomber. The only remaining question is how to deal with a twisted psychopath like Face, who likes to carve up people's face for amusement?

Punisher – On The Road

After quite a while, Frank Castle returns as Marvel's most ruthless vigilante with the bloodiest methods; The Punisher. The story is written by Becky Cloonan (American Vampire, Conan) and artwork was done by Steve Dillon (Hellblazer, Preacher), while artist Declan Shalvey (28 Days Later, Moon Knight) worked on the covers of the issues related.

Infliction of Retribution

This story takes place on issues #01-06 from the tenth monthly ongoing volume of Punisher. His wartime history with these new enemies he is facing also sheds some light into the current events. However, the story will be concluded in the next chapter titled "End of The Line".

Batman – I Am Gotham | Comics

Gotham City’s hero and greatest protector, Batman is joined by a pair of masked meta-humans to be the new guardians of the city!

On the rooftop of GCPD Headquarters, Batman meets Commissioner Jim Gordon regarding an air missile heist from Fort Marshall two weeks ago. Two of the three missiles were recovered hours ago from a Kobra Cult cell and the third one is still missing.

When they were discussing about it, a passenger plane was descending to Gotham City and it is shot down with a missile by an unknown assailant. Wasting no more time, Batman immediately rushes to the exploding plane that is headed straight to Gotham Square while Alfred updates him on the situation after Duke Thomas takes over for assistance.

Putting an alert on Justice League comm link, The Dark Knight reaches to the plane using everything he had at his disposal. Alfred Pennyworth informs shortly that the League members are either off-planet or already engaged, which means no help is coming.

He successfully drives the plane out of harm’s way but seems to face an inevitable death in doing so until is unexpectedly saved at the last moment. The plane safely lands on water and Batman sees two super-powered youth flying in front of him, calling themselves Gotham and Gotham Girl, who are here to save the city.

Batman – I Am Gotham | Comics

As the Caped Crusader was curious about their appearance out of nowhere and trying to figure out who they are, they pick a fight with Solomon Grundy next day. Gotham asks him to train them so that they can help people more effectively, which he decides to consider.

At the same time a man shows up in Gordon’s office to confess about his involvement in releasing Grundy earlier, then stabbing himself in throat and a few other suicide-bombing takes place throughout the city. Meanwhile, Dr. Hugo Strange and Psycho-Pirate were being drafted to Suicide Squad by director Amanda Waller.

While Gotham and Gotham Girl were busy saving the city, Bruce goes for a little background check on them as Agent Malone. He learns that during their childhood, the boy witnessed his parents getting mugged in an alley way of Gotham, when Batman came to save the day. His young sister heard of it later and it made them eager to become heroes.

In the meantime, the Gotham siblings were holding a bridge out that is collapsing from a suicide bombing. Their mentor quickly reached the spot to help them and instructs them to move on to the next objective as he goes investigating the reason behind the blasts.

The duo goes to take care of another incident only to be confronted by Strange and Pirate among a group of soldiers. The latter turned the twins crazy and unstable with his psychic power before making them do their own bidding of unleashing the unthinkable.

Batman's investigation leads him to Amanda Waller next, who recruited Strange and Pirate to control Task Force X but they eventually betrayed her and got away. Now, he has to take care of a very frightened Gotham Girl and face her out of control brother who can even take out all the members of the Justice League single handedly.

Batman – I Am Gotham

Comic-book writer Tom King (Grayson – Agents of Spyral, Grayson – We All Die at Dawn) and artist David Finch (Brightest Day, Forever Evil) takes up the new monthly ongoing Batman books in the beginning of DC Rebirth from DC Comics. The storyline collects the one-shot Batman – Rebirth issue and issue #01-06 from the ongoing run.

The arc introduced two brand-new superheroes in Gotham City who came to help and pretty quickly things escalated to the point where we get to see the Justice League consisting of Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash, Green Lantern, Superman and Wonder Woman going up against one of them in a brawl only to take a severe beating like never before.

Knights of Gotham

Narrator Tom King does the stunt of scaring the readers by playing with the idea that series protagonist is about to die at the very beginning and then toned down everything back to normal and gave him more work to do afterwards, rather than just dying.

The story also teases towards the upcoming crossover "Night of the Monster Men" at several points on multiple occasions, which is also a nod to a six-issue limited series "Batman and the Monster Men" from 2006, the era before Flashpoint crossover. The plot will be continued in the next storyline "I Am Suicide", followed by "I Am Bane".
