Black Widow – Deadly Origin | Comics

Natalia Romanova confronts former allies and lovers to prevent her past as Black Widow from destroying her future.

On board of a stolen military plane, a brown haired guy reveals to pilot that he has replaced his partner five minutes ago, who is in custody of CIA. Unfazed by this, the pilot activates a device on his hand claiming it detonated a bomb inside his partner's head, which has likely to have killed a few CIA officers trying to strip down his cerebral cortex.

Despite this, the mole decides to bring back the pilot alive to interrogate and refused to get caught and the latter rips of ground control panels so that he can take "him" to his employers. Upon removing holographic disguise, it is turn out to be Natasha Romanoff, original Black Widow in disguise and a brief fight ensues between them.

Though she manages to subdue him and take out of plane before it crashed, her captive swiftly chokes on a poison capsule to commit suicide. That night, she gets a call from Volgograd, Russia, by a man named Ivan after many years who then warns her about "Icepick Protocol" being initiated lately before he is gunned down by unknown party.

Nats gets a flashback to 1928, when she was rescued by Ivan as Natalia Romanoff and was raised by him. Stalin suggested that they change her name to Romanova before she was taken by Taras Romanoff to train in hand-to-hand combat. Taras was later killed by her "Little Uncle" Logan and she were eventually discovered by Ivan afterwards.

Many years later in 1956, Natasha took a serum from Winter Soldier to save a gravely injured Ivan in exchange for their loyalty. In present, she heads over to Russia to examine Ivan's corpse to confirm it was really him. She then reaches out to Bucky Barnes for moral support before declaring to find out what Icepick is and kill everyone related to it.

In Kaliningrad, Natasha breaks into Russian Army Support Services Command only to come across Federal Dynamo, whom she manages to take down using semi-lethal methods. She then breaks into their control room to learn more details about Icepick Protocol and convinced operators in charge there to cooperate in her current mission.

Before leaving, she discovers that she was tagged with nanites years ago in Red Room and she passed them along to whoever she was close to. In his apartment, Clint Barton AKA Ronin were having breakfast with his lover Bobbi Morse AKA Mockingbird and she goes into frenzy all of a sudden upon seeing a hologram that said, "Icepick Activated".

Black Widow arrives just in time before she could stab Clint and took her down with counter- nanites. She then heads over to meet Daredevil, Tony Stark, an old friend and a newspaper delivery boy she knew but not all of them were too lucky and many have succumbed to a homicidal rage once these microscopic bio-machines are activated.

In one instance, she had to bail out and rescue her Champions teammate and former lover Hercules from Golden Fleece Night Club. Though she didn't entertain his idea of a celebration at all, he did help her with a bit of guidance. Before setting off to find the true culprit behind these conspiracies, she pays Nick Fury a visit and warned about her nanites.

She recalls many of her life events from past that involves her marriage to Russian super-hero Red Guardian, going away from Winter Soldier, getting back into super-heroics when she is widowed and too many times when she refused Ivan. Finally, she took a trip to space looking for her enemy and is horrified to find a Russian Dreadnought.

Wolverine – Weapon X – Insane in the Brain | Comics

Locked within a padded cell of an asylum, Wolverine fails to recall how he ended up here and fell victim to Dr. Rottwell.

Earlier, Logan was busy fighting Strikeforce X, a group of super soldiers created by Roxxon Corporation from old Weapon X files. Lately, he couldn't even remember who he really was as he is seemingly stuck in an asylum like facility. As he struggles to get a grip on his memories, a voice on speaker asks him what he can recall about his childhood.

Wolverine talks about how he remembers living in a big fancy house and being sick all the time. He recollects killing his father and how he was raised by wolves, fighting in Spanish Civil War, being an honorable samurai in Japan, falling in love with Silver Fox, having mutant superhero friends among X-Men, going to moon and having a vision of future.

He is asked if any of what he just said made any sense and he admits that it sounds a bit crazy. He admits that something is most probably wrong with him but he also can't shake off these memories. Logan is then put to sleep as soon as he starts asking about an incident earlier that day, which was to write something on a wall with his own blood.

Marked as "Patient X", an orderly is seen to be washing what he wrote outside of his cell door earlier. After putting his straight jacket away, Logan is allowed to among fellow patients there and one of them asks him to join for an escape. Next day, he meets that same guy in hallway with a side of his head stitched and is left completely immobile.

That same week, a masquerade party is thrown off to celebrate a long-time patient being cured and Logan got to meet with Doctor Rot, who promises to cure him. Knowing about Wolverine's true origins, Rot tries to unleash his violent side by pitting him against his guards but he refuses to fight back and continue to have nightmares from Weapon X days.

Earlier, Rottwell and his men took Charlie Chainsaws to incurable ward to replace his hands with chainsaws. Later that day, two mobsters came at his doorsteps to hire a hitman without knowing that previous owner of this facility has died. One of them ended up being sawed down at Charlie's hands and another being experimented on by Doctor Rot.

He sees other patients being tortured in front of him and minds his own business anyway until a day when he finally lets his inner beast out by unsheathing his adamantium claws and gutted down his tormentors for good. It turns out that he was simply under influence of a simulation program run on him by Dr. Rottwell and is put to sleep once again.

At one point, he starts wondering if this has been his life all along and then he briefly recalls his past as an X-Man. It all started a week ago when Wolverine was investigating a case along with reporter Melita Garner where three serial killers gone missing in a year from a homeless shelter in San Francisco and he decides to check this oddity out for himself.

However, before he could even get the drop on them, Logan is under a psychic attack and gets captured by Rottwell's crew. When he came to his senses, he keeps telling himself that he is not insane and gets to know more about this facility from an inmate. Dr. Rottwell repeatedly tries to hack into his brain and eventually learns about all of his dark secrets.

Logan managed to send a distress psychic call to Melita Garner and tell her where he currently is, "Dunwich Sanatorium". Next thing she knows, Nightcrawler and Psylocke shows up at her doorstep when she called a number that he gave her. These two berak into Dunwich to discover what Dr. Algernon Rottwell was working on, a God Brain Machine.

He never really got a chance to have an up-close confrontation with Rot and fell prey to his mind control machine that lead to his capture even before he realized what he went up against. Things got so bad that his partner in crime, reporter Melita Garner had to reach out for X-Men members Nightcrawler and Psylocke to get emergency help.

Wolverine fought a bunch of Roxxon-sponsored super soldiers in previous "Adamantium Men" storyline and while looking into his past from Weapon X program, he came across an enemy for whom he rarely is a match for. In upcoming storyline "Tomorrow Dies Today", Logan will team-up with a certain Sentinel of Liberty to save the heroes of today.

Dark Avengers – Molecule Man | Comics

Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers go up against Molecule Man without knowing what they are up against.

A huge change in status quo took place when Norman Osborn replaced Tony Stark as Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. following "Secret Invasion". He has assembled a group of deranged psychos like Bullseye, Daken and Mac Gargan as well as reformed criminal Moonstone to join his new team of Dark Avengers alongside Ares and The Sentry.

Although Osborn is fashioning himself as Iron Patriot these days, he can't be trusted due to his history of mental issues and therefore, former top cop of the world Nick Fury has recently gone underground to form his own group of Secret Warriors that includes young heroes like Alex Aaron AKA Phobos, God of Fear and son of Ares.

When his father goes out, Daisy Johnson came to pick him up but none of them realized that Ares was following them. Knowing that his son has chosen to be trained with Fury, he leaves and Nick orders everyone to abandon base urgently.

In Dinosaur, Colorado, two girls comes to a small diner and is asked to leave by few patrons. His secretary Victoria Hand points out that many have recently disappeared from there. This immediately prompts Osborn to rally up his Dark Avengers team and H.A.M.M.E.R. crews to scene but he sent Venom back due to his unstable condition. Landing there, they all get vanished and Osborn finds himself before Owen Reese AKA Molecule Man, who is surrounded by Beyonder, The Enchantress, Mephisto and Zarathos.

However, it becomes very clear that no one else other than him and Norman are real around them. Reese states his will to be left alone in this town and have no intention of killing him because, then Reed Richards will show up to somehow stop him for good but forced Osborn to go through nightmares when he objects to that idea.

The Sentry materializes once again only to be torn apart, Venom turns into puddle of goo and Hawkeye into water, Ms. Marvel turned into stone, Wolverine gets trapped in vegetation and Ares is frozen. Seeing this situation getting out of hand, deputy director of H.A.M.M.E.R., Victoria Hand decides to declare full surrender to Reese.

As she approaches, Owen strips off her uniform to see if she is armed and she appeals to him that he restores everyone that got vanished. He then took her to the dimension where he kept Osborn trapped in his own psyche. He sees himself in Spider-Man costume right next to a pregnant Gwen Stacy over George Washington Bridge.

Norman changes into his Green Goblin persona, seeing everyone around him is just waiting for him to make a mess and fall badly. Then he sacredly look at a trio of monstrous versions of Ares, Iron Man and Spider-Man. Sentry gets pissed off for being repeatedly torn apart after some time and managed to violently burst through Owen.

This has forced Osborn to arrive in Colorado for investigation with his newly assembled team of Avengers but they all either ended up being disintegrated or trapped.
