He shows up there to find out three other mercs already waiting there for their audition. As one of them starts conversation with him it instantly turns out to be an all-out killing contest. Of course standing victorious, Deadpool demands the presence of his employer.

The person then reveals him to be the son of rubber magnate John O'Shea, Conrad O'Shea who is quite impressed with Wade’s serious black ops ninja killing action and had placed that ad to get the best merc out there. Conrad is debted to a bad-ass bookie who will kill his entire family if he fails to pay up and he requests Deadpool to kill the bookie for him to get rid of the trouble.

Wade takes the job anyway without knowing that his hit was actually, Tombstone. Soon, he was caught on camera near a building explosion that looked like a major terrorist activity on the news. This however, draws the attention of the dangerous vigilante The Punisher who starts chasing Deadpool’s tail. The Man Without Fear and the friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler shows up to help.

For that purpose, they sneaked into the hidden underground palace of Okaara in the Vega system, where the Orange Lantern Power Battery is kept, to add it in their possession. As they located and approached to the battery, suddenly it unleashed the Orange Lanterns who killed the Controllers immediately on sight. On Odym, Hal Jordan was trying to get rid of the Blue Lantern Ring given to him by Saint Walker previously as Ganthet and Sayd explains to him that they actually wanted Hal to lead the Blue Lantern Corps as a Green Lantern. The Green Lantern Stel was chasing one of the rogue Sinestro Corps Member 2825 but he suddenly got captured by the minions of Agent Orange after the Sinestro Corps member was devoured. An injured Stel is then sent back to Oa to deliver the Guardians a message from Agent Orange and despite the protest of them having no affiliation with Controllers, Agent Orange declared their age old treaty null and void. This heated argument turned into a battle of the two corps and Hal Jordan is abducted by Orange Lanterns.

New Avengers – Search for the Sorcerer Supreme | Comics

Although Doctor Strange is back, a search for his new successor begins with The Hood seeking his powers.

Now that Tony Stark is not Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. anymore, New Avengers are on the run because Norman Osborn is in charge of everything. Aside from running a new task force H.A.M.M.E.R., he has assembled his own version of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" with their twisted and villainous counterparts as Dark Avengers.

Some heroes went underground and many like Clint Barton AKA Ronin became vocal about their opinion on Osborn in public. When his team tries to choose a leader, Barton is elected and he picks Ms. Marvel as his second-in-command. They ask for Spider-Man to share his real identity with them and he reluctantly does so after all.

Turns out, Jessica Jones was a classmate of Peter from high school and had a crush on him, which irks her husband Luke Cage a little. Before they proceed to plan ahead to take Osborn down, Doctor Strange arrives there to seek help. He barely survived an encounter with The Hood, who is currently after his Eye of Agamotto.

It appears that Stephen Strange is no longer a Sorcerer Supreme of Earth dimension as he used dark arts to save his friends earlier. He has been looking for a new contender for his former title ever since and met Young Avengers member Wiccan in New Jersey but their conversation is interrupted midway when he sees Parker Robbins outside.

Strange told Billy Kaplan to run and attempts to face Hood alone but not only did he fail to reason with Robbins, he soon realized that his enemy has grown more powerful than he is now. Instead of running, Wiccan came out helping with his powers, allowing them both to escape from there and he came here to gather strength.

New Avengers insists on helping Strange as they were after Robbins, who has ties to Osborn. Meanwhile, Hood goes to Dormammu seeking help to ease his pain and meets Madame Masque. Not knowing what he's been up to, she suggests that they go look for Doctor Strange to get help and removes her mask before kissing him.

They all head to New Orleans trying to find the new rightful owner for Eye of Agamotto in a Quinjet that Carol "borrrowed" when she left Mighty Avengers. What Strange is mostly concerned about is that even people like Doctor Doom or Hood could be a candidate for being next Sorcerer Supreme and that would be disastrous.

On their way, the Eye suddenly activates by itself and starts display all of its possible holders before getting disappeared, most likely to its new owner. They are hit by a missile by Madame Masque, prompting Spidey and Wolverine to go after her. Logan ran into heavy fire and Spider-Woman engaged her until Captain America took her out.

In his apartment, Daimon Hellstrom was arguing with his ex-wife Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat over phone. The Hood comes at him guns blazing thinking he has what he is looking for but was unable to even land a scratch on him. They both get a glimpse of the Eye before it gets vanished again and Hood is cast outside from his house.

Their fight gets ugly pretty quickly and caught attention of The Avengers, who came in offering aid to Hellstrom. As Cage and Doc Strange try their best to contain the fiery fury of an unhinged Parker Robbins, who has taken a larger demonic form, Jericho Drumm AKA Brother Voodoo shows up wearing the Eye of Agamotto to help.

Continuing his run on eleventh New Avengers storyline "Search for the Sorcerer Supreme", writer Brian Michael Bendis (House of M, Secret War) returns once again to rally up the heroes to face a "Dark Reign" with a revised team lineup and status quo for Marvel Comics in 2009 that would spread across various other mini-series.

Bendis was joined by artists Antonio Fabela, Justin Ponsor, Billy Tan (Thor – Latverian Prometheus, Uncanny X-Men – End of Greys), Chris Bachalo (Dark Reign – The Sinister Spider-Man, X-Men – Age of Apocalypse) and Matt Banning in telling his story within issues #51-54 from fist volume of monthly ongoing comic-book series.

Even though Cage has been acting as a leader for some time, he steps down and Bucky Barnes simply didn't have old-school Avengers experience. In a not so surprising manner, Clint Barton gets elected as current leader of New Avengers.

The Hood, one of Osborn's allies and a herald of Dormammu becomes a major pain for heroes to deal with. Although he went after Strange to steal his Eye of Agamotto by force, Parker eventually ended up being badly burnt in hospital. A new Sorcerer Supreme is chosen and more bad news is heading for them in next story "Powerloss".

Dark Avengers – Assemble | Comics

Norman Osborn now controls a powerful super-hero team as his "Dark Avengers" to do some good or serve his twisted version?

In a surprising turn of events, Norman Osborn ended up saving Earth during peak of a full-scale "Skrull Invasion" by killing their Queen. Tony Stark is removed from his position as Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and replaced by Osborn. He made a pact with a secretly formed group called Cabal that has divisive figures like Doctor Doom as its members.

He hired former S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Victoria Hand to help him establish his new organization H.A.M.M.E.R. before firing Maria Hill. Bullseye is called in shortly afterwards to fly with him to New York, Avengers Tower. Norman asks New Avengers member Carol Danvers to join his new team but she straight out refuses and fled off.

He approached Karla Sofen AKA Moonstone at Thunderbolts Mountain to become Ms. Marvel for him. Next up, Osborn goes to see Mac Gargan with a medication that would contain his monstrous form into more presentable state. He then recruited Daken Akihiro from a diner at New Orleans where he came looking for a job.

Norman convinced Kree warrior Noh-Varr at The Cube into joining his cause as Captain Marvel. His next employ is Ghost to unlock a secret stash of armored suits that once belonged to Tony Stark. He builds a suit of armor similar to Captain America's costume for himself called "Iron Patriot" and then went to public with his all-new Avengers.

Dark Avengers – Assemble | Comics

Dark sorceress Morgana le Fay has been looking all over for Victor von Doom after he betrayed him earlier. When Doom was being escorted back to Latveria by Osborn's men, she attacked them with an army of demons at her side. Report of this attack is received by Osborn and he led his new team of Avengers for their very first mission.

He orders The Sentry to go all-out and he does so by simply tearing her head off, which shocked his teammates. Morgana reappears in a moment, causing Sentry to suddenly explode and she confronted Ares by forcing Venom to violently attack him. She then turned God of War into stone right before being killed again by new Hawkeye.

Though unable to move in his armor, Doom responds to Norman as he proceeds to carry his ally out of battlefield. Despite his unwillingness to share, he eventually shares his armor interface with Osborn to access his time machine. Together, they go back to Morgana's time and Victor sent her to 1,000,000 BC using a spell unknown even to her.

Going back to present time, Doom revives Ares from his state with a reverse spell but Sentry is presumed dead. On their way back to New York, Victoria Hand informs her boss about Clint Barton going on media to expose him as former Green Goblin. To which, he tells her to arrange an interview with the network to nicely sort things out.

All of a sudden, a blinding flash of light hits them all and they all astoundingly look at a very-much alive Sentry coming to them. Norman approaches and asks him about how he is feeling now since they all saw him die in Latveria. Trying to resonate with Bob and calm him down by talking to him, Osborn even removes his helmet to talk.

Later that day, an Atlantean terrorist group leads an attack in Los Angeles and members of Cabal were called to meet up. Prince Namor is asked to denounce those extremists publicly and help Ozman to capture them. They had a disagreement on how to approach this situation and it causes a troubled side of Osborn's persona to slip.
